A quick find with the mother in law this afternoon. Town was crazy with north bound traffic heading home after Ed and Easter. Lucky its Southland anniversary tomorrow, as i have an extra day off.
We had my muggle mum with us who loves caching, so of course she was up for a find or two. She gets more excited than us when she finds these lol. TFTC
Visiting from hawkes bay and staying with my parents just around the corner. Headed out after dinner for an evening walk with miss 10, and made a quick find here. Tftc
Out on my MTB this morning aiming to get some of the many caches on the flat to the North of the harbour hills. Although I missed Geofest I had no problems finding this cache three weeks later. Thanks for the cache ebonybarron.
End of day two of the Oamaru Geofest. One more cache after this and Taybeedragon and I are going to call it a day.
Today our last day in Oamaru we spent mostly picking up local traditional caches, it was a wet day, but good for caching anyway. Today was also the day our team broke 4000!
thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches for us to find

Have enjoyed this great wee series. We still had not looked for this one so made a point of stopping for it in the pouring rain on our way home from geofest. Thanks for the effort. A fav for the series
The Geofest was such a fun weekend but it was over too soon. Jess.daphne and I went on the caching trail for our final day and this was one of our finds. We signed the log as Jeje. Thanks so much for placing this cache!
Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. Had also teamed up with Vistra on this morning and we had just done a great walk up at the reservoir. Headed down to the flat area of Oamaru and decided to hunt around this area. Some new caches had emerged since our pocket query of a few days ago.
A nice quick find while down for the Oamaru Geofest weekend.

Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Jag50 and Bertie Blowfish. We had met up with Vistra to complete the Reservoir walk and were heading back into town to find more caches. Found this one easily.
Turns out West was the first of these caches to be found on this great geofeast trip. A rather grand entrance way to a school but we didn't take that we came from a side entrance and jumped the fence. TFTC # 11,166
P.S. Just noticed it was actually a Geofest I attended - all the time I've been referring to it as a Geofeast - well that's what it actually was after all.

I was down in Otago for the long weekend to attend the Oamaru Geofest. This morning I teamed up with fellow West Auckland cachers Jag50, Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. This was a quick find after doing the Reservoir Track series. TFTC!
The 4th of our 6 Day Adventure to and around Oamaru for [Oamaru Geofest 2017](https://coord.info/GC6M2V0).
Today included an early morning CITO, observing the Steampunk competition, a lunchtime Event and of course fitting in some geocaching between the wind and the spit which then later turned to rain. We are just rounding up a few more caches on route back to the venue for the Prize Giving. A nice quick here but as it had started raining again! it was taken to the car to sign. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies

We are on an epic adventure to Oamaru for Geofest.
Time for a couple of caches before returning to Awamoko for the night.
Snagged and tagged this one. Cheers

Sorry about the generic log - I have had GPS issues so have had to recover the list of caches that I found today in order to log them online.

Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn’t be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn’t take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code. .
