We had noticed this magnificent building earlier, so it was no hardship to come and have a closer look. The cache was an instant find in the first place I felt. I love it when that happens.Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
A bit embarrassing here, I made a quick find from the uphill side but managed to drop the little blighter in the bushes upon retrieval. After a frustrating rummage around, suddenly some muggles appeared so I had to retreat back down the road, wondering if I would still be able to find, or have to replace and apologise profusely to the CO. Thankfully after about ten minutes the muggles had left and I made my way back to the GZ for another look. Still took a good ferret around while now reaching through from the road side before I managed to recover this tricky micro. Thankfully once retrieved, quickly signed the log before replacing and retreating the way I came, all good here lol, TFTC
Hard to find couldnt find on the road side so we looked on the other side and found it
Showed some friends around this block where I began my childhood schooling, and then found this cache, that MacBayMeri and I had tried to find before. Fortunately this time MacBayMeri put her hands on the container, amazing our muggle friends with the size of it. Signed the log and headed off. TFTC.
I was here with MrMagoo72 showing friends through his childhood boarding school on the corner of this block where he had gone at the age of 4. The school (St Thomas's Academy run by the Dominican Sisters) later became a retirement home and is now a hostel for aviation students. We had a good look inside and outside the beautiful church, and then decided to have another go at finding this cache, having failed to find it on a previous occasion. We hunted in some likely places, the GPS jumped around a bit here, but finally I touched on the well-concealed cache. A favourite point for bringing us back here and for the cache. TFTC.
Found it after a little while. Was looking from the road side, not the church side. Quick find once I was finally inside! TFTC
Took me a while to find in the dark, but after a bit of pointers with friends that found it previously, I finally found! Very sneaky hide. Thanks
What a great nano.Had to be pretty stealthy there was a muggle hosing the steps.
Passing through this magic beautifully historic town and this church - wow! Im not overly religious but this church is beautiful.Quick find, Thanks for placing a cache here and us looking into the history
Took a while to to find it, got distracted by the the amazing architecture inside the church and came back out and found it quickly by chance!
Took awhile to find. Had to have a look around the church with a friend. Cool cache! Liked this ones size!
After a southern adventure for a wee family Easter school holiday trip - a wet few days in Dunedin then Naseby it was time to head back to Christchurch. Stopped here to break the journey....finda church and a cache. Thanks.

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We plan on going after different Cache Types while here.
Thank you, Natalie247 for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.
Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...
SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?
It does to us, we're geocachers in West Texas! - {Taken from a Greater Abilene Association geocoin.}

Wonderful church! Thanks for bringing us here. Nice wee find. Taking the family back home for school. Cheers.
Geo-Roadtrip in the South Island with TrinityNZ and JustlookingOO to collect some PWGT's and as many other caches as we can.
Upon settling into our accommodation last night I had a look around for nearby caches. This one just happened to be a block or two away. Seemed like a no-brainer to come and sign it.
A fairly quick find. Such a beautiful church. I walked past it on a couple of occasions when I lived in Oamaru years ago. Would love to venture inside some day.
We were super lucky as just as we were getting back in the car people started turning up for the Sunday morning service!

On a road trip with LL113 and JustLookingOO, and we stayed in Oamaru last night. This was our first cache of the day at this amazing church. LL113 found this pretty quickly. Thanks for the interesting cache and for bringing us here.
It was quite hard to find then my mate got bored and started playing with it without realizing
Bumming around town in courtesy car as the van needs repairs. Time to pick up some easy ones while I wait. Very busy here though at 9am.
Had to hunt for a while but found the sneaking little thing. No muggles around thankfully. TFTC

It is strongly recommend that whilst we go for a walk for exercise, we need to take care on shared surfaces and geocaching should not be done at this time; https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/New+Zealand
To remove temptation, I am disabling this cache and ask kindly that you do not find this cache during lockdown.
Remember there is more than physically finding a cache, there are plenty of puzzle caches you can do at home. Or if you live near a multi you can walk the trail and save the find for another day. For more info or connect with wider community see Geocaching New Zealand on Facebook.

Quick find on a geocaching adventure in oamaru for the Christmas break TFTC natalie247
A service was about to start so most people had just gone in so we were able look without being too obvious. When I read the hint I knew exactly where to look and what to look for. The cache was quickly in my hand. It was exactly like many church micros geocaches we did in the UK.
School holiday outing on a lovely day, miss 9 thought the description of this cache is hilarious, one elderly muggle was keeping her eye on us as she excruciatingly slowly headed up to the chaple which made it take far longer than necessary! Tftc
Out with busy paws for a day's caching in the rain. Found this very appropriate titled cache. Thanks for the cache Natalie247.
Log was full, we have replaced and will pass the full log on to CO next time we catch up
We've had a pretty bad run up here this weekend with 3 DNF's. Nice to finally have a smilie. TFTC
Thanks for this cache, Natalie247. Driving back to Christchurch today after a few days in Dunedin; always good to collect a couple of caches along the way! School was in, so no muggles around.

#18011. Spotted on approach. Good to include a Natalie247 cache on our trip south. TFTC.
Day 2 of StreetWalkerNZ and my long weekend in and around Oamaru. After a long day, polishing off the remaining Mighty Oaks, plus biking some more of the A2O trail, we decided to find a few more caches in Oamaru before dark.
Evening turned out to be an excellent time to look for this cache, got a park right by GZ and cache was quickly found. Pretty sure we have (unsuccessfully) looked for a cache here in the distant past. TFTC.

What a beautiful photogenic building that just happens to have a cache close by. My.Precious signed for both of us with our shared logging name TT2M.P.
Down from Tauranga for My.Precious's son's wedding, so hoping to log a few cache's between other duties. Lots of busy Geocachers down here, thank you,

Down from Palmy, back in my hometown for Christmas & out with my sister lunar24. We had trouble with this one so after a hard look we moved on. Hopefully we find this one before heading back up north.
It took a bit of searching, but finally and with the help of the hint, I could locate the nano container.
Thanks for the hide!
Thanks for the hide!
Found it! Felt like giving up but finally spotted it. Smallest cache for us so far.
This took far longer than it should have done and we were in the process of giving up and going back to the car, when I suddenly spotted the cache. How had we missed it!!! Initialled and returned. TFTC
Out for an evening stroll in the drizzle to collect a couple of caches. Spotted this very quickly.

Quick find today. I did try looking once before but too many passersby. Today was not so bad. The log is full but I squeezed my details in a part that had a bit of room. Not in date sequence. Thanks for the hide. #3445
A quick easy find at this substantial church. We managed to squeeze our name into a small space on the full log. TFTC
Met a friend for coffee at McDs, explained caching to him, he sounds keen as along with wife. This was a quick find, lady doing garden none the wiser. Sent photo to friend so he knows what to look for.
After starting the hunt for the #hiddencreatures with Eve07 at an event in Dunedin we decided that North Otago, as it held a good number of creatures neither of us had yet discovered. A nice frosty start to our adventure led us around the coast before we headed in land looking for the slightly more elusive mysterious ones.
Eve07 hadn't found this one so I waited for her to zone in and once her hand was on it I joined to check on condition, all good here.

Found this tricky wee fellow on a trip to O-Town during the last school holidays, and only just remembered to log it! A grand hide at a favourite spot for Mr. Rex...TFTC!
Heading up on a lovely day to Oamaru with Natalie247 to find some caches to collect the Hidden Creatures series. CO suggested a great cache here! And so it was! TFTC Natalie247
