We stayed at Nurioopta last night to top up on lots of supplies at the Geostuff store this morning and then we are heading our way back south to Portland caching along the way. Our main targets are Adventure Labs, Virtual's and Earth caches as these don't present muggle problems and any others that are nearby. We were he re for the virtual and as there were no muggles to be seen we decided to look for this trad.We made the most of it and headed towards gz first where happily the cache was found after a brief search and our name was added to the log before everything was returned as found. We then headed off to the virtual to learn a bit more about Map the Miner and have a look around this excellent memorial. Many thanks for bringing us here, a favourite point from us.

I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. Quick find here. All good. Thank you barnic, for placing MAP THE MINER for the geocaching community.# # SmileSmile #14869 SmileSmile # #

We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Yesterday we took the ferry from Kangaroo Island to the mainland and spent the night in Barossa. Our destination for today is Wilpena. We had a stop here to have a closer look at the huge statue and discovered that this cache was also here. We had a look and the cache was quickly found. Thank you very much for this cache.

15-Apr-24
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia we travel from the Barossa Valley to the Flinders Ranges. When we drove past here we stopped to take a picture. This cache was also hidden here and was easily found.**barnic**, thanks for the cache.

MotherGoldy and pineapplegoldy are driving to Saddleworth and the surrounding areas today for a day trip together. It isn't going to be a massive day for finding caches but I need one for my streak, as well as an EarthCache for EarthCache weekend.A shout out to all EarthCache owners who contribute to teaching geology in our game! I'm also targeting virtuals as I love them. I got 3 for the day which is very exciting.A good day was had. We read a lot of local history, laughed about a lot of things and enjoyed the adventure labs (MotherGoldy's favourite). We ended up with a total of 11 caches and 10 adventure lab locations. I am now at 337 days straight. Only 29 days left! The cache was quickly located here, a very nice spot a cache. Lots of information signs to read.We were curious about the bits of china amongst the stone wall, wonder why they are in there. The log book was almost full and so I had to sign the end of it on the blue section. Could do with a new log book. Thanks barnic for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3632 on the 7th of October 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**

This was one of many caches along the back-roads for naughtybunny and I on the way home from our Burra road trip. It was an amazing weekend with amazing caches. While we did the virtual cache nearby, we may as well do this one while we're here. A nice spot which is well looked after. This one was quickly found as we saw something suspicious. TNLN. Cheers.

Time for a Tuesday Trek so headed north to pick up the Rat and started with a couple of new Lava traditionals before heading off to help with an unexpectedly easier to access bridge cache. After that the Starfish headed home for some R&R and the dynamic duo went off on a Mystery Turnabout Tour and after an enjoyable afternoon ended up with quite a variety of unexpected caches.
Stopped by to have a look at MAP and do the associated Virtual so had find this one too while stopped.
Thanks barnic for placing this cache.
Cache #13444 for me.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 38. Mid North section of SA trip Day 9. Barossa Valley Day 1. I chose Kapunda as today's direction. The aim was to meander my way to and from Kapunda visiting lonely caches and a few solved puzzles. It was a great day and while I was in town I did the Lab set that is there. There is so much to see and plenty more caches for future visits.

The last two caches were at Map the miner, a physical and a virtual cache. A real bonus and a great way to finish my day before heading home for lunch.

Thanks for the cache barnic

I have bad hearing, or maybe it's selective. I used to think MAP was in fact MAC when someone was giving me directions to here, but then he would be Scottish, and not from Cornwall. Anyway I found Map, then Map's cache. TFTC barnic, its been rather popular of late. Kapunda is a beaut little town, will be back for more caches another time.
