Fabulous location! Followed my nose and went straight to it although the container is just about gonski.TFTC N N
More exploration of Lilli Pilli brought me to this lovely street and the gorgeous historic house further along. I found a way down to the shore - think I've been here before, long long time ago.
It was lowish tide but I had gum boots so I was able to walk and explore wherever I wanted. White-faced Herons were on the exposed rocks looking at the crabs.
I was surprised by the passing boat traffic and fishing muggles who turned up as I was leaving.
I checked what seemed to be the obvious spot but nothing was found so I tried another area where I found the cache. For a while I didn't think I was going to be able to open the rusty container but slow and steady wins the race and eventually I was able to sign the logbook which was completely dry!

Wow really enjoyed that little adventure! While little cacher and their dad were fishing I discovered I was sitting right on top of 2 caches! Wandered a little to find the right access point and then stared at dismay when the gps settled but then soon realised perhaps I had the wrong point. Terrain rating checked and soon had my hands on the cache. Thanks for placing the cache in this wonderful hiding spot.
Nana Nel I found your cache Christmas 2017 on 14/11/21, 11:10 am. This is my find 3232 and find # 5 today. Low tide, perfect time to attempt. Got to GZ easily enough. Looked around and saw an area it may be in. Thought I’ll check out around where I was but nothing found. Decided to check out my first instinct and sure enough there it is. Not the prettiest decoration due to the weather but contents are dry. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
To discourage people from going more than 5 kilometres from home, I disabling all my caches. stay home and stay safe.
It was great to get this cache on the way to my home office today. I had previously tried a couple of times and it was great to get a find. Great location and views. Weather is a bit ordinary today. Thank you for the cache Nana Nel
This was a fun one to get too every way I went something was in the way then when I found a way passed the blockage the GPSr said I was in the wrong spot. But eventually I spotted somewhere and decided to ignore the GPSr and to check that spot out and the instinct proved to be correct
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Nana Nel

I can't remember the last time I cached in the Shire with any real purpose. Today there was so much to choose from and under beautiful clear skies, Mizmaz and I tackled a few specific caches so I could complete various challenges.
I made this harder than it needed to be but eventually found the right culvert and the cache was in hand.
Thanks to all the CO's for your hide.

In the area for Leap Day Event hosted by Nanna Nel. Whilst in the area may as well. Had some assistance some other event members TFTC
#2001 Second of four finds with Rieka to mark Leap Year Day. Great to have a small group to nut this one out. Enjoyed the challenge and thanks to Bluewattle, Everest High and Max Adventurer for your assistance. TFTC
First cache while attending an event. Beautiful surroundings and experienced caches to help a novice. TFTC
With an event being held so nearby, we just had to go for this one. But it wasn’t until we found the access point that I had to ask, how did Nana Nel find this spot in the first place? Lucky I had aubeasty with me to get adventurous as I didn’t have the right footwear for it today. Party boats on the water we’re rocking as it was excellent weather for a gathering.
Found while attending a Leap Day event by this CO. How convenient. TFTC NanaNel
I made my 4th try this week to get the cache. Unfortunately, I was again foiled by boating and fishing mugglers. I will try again next time I am in Australia
TFTC. I dropped Mrs Jaybeem off to start the search while I tried finding somewhere to park. As it was close to another cache I decided to try for that first. Mrs Jaybeem scaled the mountain (her words) and made the find in good time. Cache in good nick, as is log book.
At last, by pure luck the tide was out and I got below GZ and after a short scramble I soon had CI H. Thanks.
Must be my lucky day! I was in the local area and realised this one was close by. Wasn't sure how the tide would be but fortunately it was low and after a bit of bush bashing had CIH in no time. Love the container as well. TFTC
I had had this one on my to-do list for a while but whenever i checked out the tides it seemed to be the wrong time of day for it.
Today however i was able to get there just after the tide had turned and didnt need to get my feet wet.
I parked up at the end of Lilli Pilli Point Rd and found the path down to the GZ.
After scanning the area i was, with a bit of luck, able to head directly to the caches hiding spot.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

We’d collected the Outback Challenge cache and it was such a nice day and such a pretty track that we decided to keep walking around the point. Low tide made it easy to walk along the water’s edge and we soon arrived at GZ. Mrs Gaztek climbed Skull Rock and Mr G went bush and came up with this very appropriate container. SL TFTC Cheers.... Gaztek
By luck we arrived at low tide and so we didn’t need to get our feet wet. We soon homed in on and found the very appropriate cache container. We signed the log book and replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for having bought us to this nice location. Greetings from Zimbabwe
The tide is low so I'm not holding on. A beautiful spot when it's quiet like today. Quite a challenging spot to get to, not where I originally thought. TFTC
I managed to work out I needed to head down the stairs and thankfully I just lucked the tides. After a short scramble the hidey hole and well themed cache were spotted! TFTC!
Nice quick find but a great hide. Almost finished these Christmas caches but dare say I’ll have another to contend with soon. TFTC
#5414 (3 of 4 today)
Dinner with friends in the Shire today, so headed that way early to snag some caches beforehand.
Was hoping for five but only got four - with one muggled out. I could live with that, however, as I only needed three finds for my calendar goal.
And the fact all my finds were on traditionals keeps my challenge streak going past all necessity. Good times!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
The Blondie song didn't apply when I arrived, so made my way to GZ. Took the longer way rather than the steps right near my parking spot. Gave me the chance to enjoy the view for longer, so can't complain too much.
Was careful of all the oyster shells and then... so many possible hides.
Checked a few but not convinced I'm close. Checked the distance... still a few metres out. Hmmm.
A quick read of the logs confirmed my suspicions so refocused my efforts. That looks likely!
Gotcha! Not the easiest retrieve with the rain we've had, but made it without getting muddy.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Now for a quick walk.

Wasn't expecting that challenge on a 2.5T. great cache thanks. Regret doing it on a high tide day that's for sure
I spent way too long down too low and getting scratched looking past the scratchy plants. Once I ascended I spotted the hide from a distance.

The penultimate cache for oldmorty's challenge and my first of Nana Nel's Christmas caches.
I looked at this cache over lunch and mentioned to oldmorty that there was a question of the tide. That frightened him a bit. After Googling and confirming that the tide was going out there was a huge sigh of relief.
We arrived at GZ and I'm not sure whether the "Be careful" was because of the tide and the oysters or where we had to go to get the cache. Anyway, we found the very Christmassy cache and signed the log. Thanks for taking us to a lovely part of Sydney and thanks Nana Nel. Now I'll have to find the others.

OCW frazeydaze. After completing two more caches for a challenge cache before breaking for lunch I mentioned over lunch that I only required one more cache to complete the necessary preliminaries before attempting the challenge cache which wasn't far from this cache. After reading the description frazeydaze checked the tides as we were not dressed for any water activities. As luck would have it low tide was fast approaching so after lunch we were on our way. At GZ we were glad we didn't need to shed our sneakers as most of the rocks were covered in opened oysters - who eats these oysters? After reckoning that the cache needed to be well above the HWM to keep it dry we adjusted the search level and it was frazeydaze who first spied the Christmas pressie. Hooray that completes the preliminaties for the challeng cache. Thanks for another fun cache Nanna Nel.
Having been to this location previously with the Bebes I had to make second visit to this cache now I have my own account!!. The tide was out so managed to keep the feet dry. Tftc
This was a case of dejavu. What a beautiful spot. .... I found myself having a groundhog day moment. With one half of The Hancock Clan along for moral support, I found it wasn't needed as the cache wad right there where I expected it to be. Nana Nel's Christmas presents are becoming less evil. I was however disappointed not to find any delicious balls of goodness inside the container.
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Nana Nel (F=7977 H=26) for the cache.

Gary and I were on our way home from the mega when we stopped to pick up a couple of challenge caches. Whilst in the area I realised this trad was just a short walk away, AND it was low tide. The fab micaparamedic put his hands on this one first and our names are now in the log book.
It was especially lovely to meet the CO shortly after finding this cache, thanks for your warm hospitality.
What a nice little get away.....I needed some R&R and so decided to head across the border from SA to Victoria and then NSW to attend the OzGeoMuster Mega with friends.
I mainly hung out with the lovely micaparamedic and the fabulous ChooknChunk and I also enjoyed many happy moments with others.
Some of the stand out moments included: camping in Belanglo State Forest and doing a night cache at 1am; 4wding and having water over the car bonnet; sitting around and chatting/chilling; sleeping loads; relaxing continuously and then watching some fab fireworks (thanks Team Crackers), and all in all a much needed break. Gary and I slowly made our way back to Bendigo before heading back to Adelaide.
Thanks so much for the cache Nana Nel!

Arrive on low tide , making easier work in obtaining the cache
Thanks for the cache

Two sets of muggles, one on each possible approach meant that it wasn't manageable today. But gee the water looked lovely for a dip.
Inappropriate tides and attire have meant it has taken me a while to get to this one, so nice to finally tick it off the list. Nice to return to this familiar area on a beautiful morning.

So many muggles on the water today but none paid any attention to me taking a cooling dip.
The tide was high but I waded into the refreshing water and it was lovely.
Ducked in and made the short scramble

OCW Mrs A after studying the tides. We were armed with our reef shoes just in case and as it happened we didn't even get our feet wet. Good planning .
It was pleasant on the water and a number of craft were anchored off the shore and their occupants enjoying fun in the Hacking. They payed no attention to us but I kept an eye on them at the critical moments. I spotted the access point and slowly and carefully made the find. We signed the log and I grabbed the Geokrety TB and dropped a TB. TFTC Nana Nel and a Happy New Year to All.

After a long walk doing the "a walk in the park" multi we thought we'd give this one a go as it is only a few hundred metres frombour kind hosts house.
Parking the car near gz it became obvious that we had to go lower, the tide was out and we were soon near gz but unfortunately so were some muggles which made more than a cursory search impossible even the we could almost see the cache we'll have to return to make the find.
Better luck next time.
Cheers from CATONY.

Recently ticked off three in the Christmas Series and, impressed with the themed camo, made this year’s effort a priority on an impromptu run passing through the area today. Acknowledging the terrain rating as higher than previous years, was grateful for hints in someone’s log about getting to and persevering to reach GZ however (in my personal opinion) I would rate this one higher than a 2.5 especially for the last few metres, and not just because I’d sprained my ankle on a 3T earlier in the day that was easier and less precarious than this.
Last year I was FTF on the 2016 prize. This year I was out in the bush chasing some 12 months unloved days when this was published, so I knew that would go quickly. Needing to fill in the last 13 days of my calendar, I was pleased I didn't have to travel too far after work to look for this one.
After parking the car, the GPS said only 9m away, but I knew I would need to take the long way to GZ given the terrain rating. Following a path to the water I found the tide a bit too high, so with sans shoes I waded closer, put them back on and carefully climbed to the hide. A very familiar spot, and with the container visible, I made sure it was properly hidden when replaced with extra camo. Swapped one TB for another, then carefully made my way back to the water, removed my shoes once more and chose a different path back to the car.
TFTC. Another unique Christmas themed container from Nana Nel. Looking forward to the 2018 model next year! For now I feel like some Christmas cake. And I wonder if this might be a clue in my Quest for a Ring?

I know this place! I was here about a year ago with the CO to find Warwick's baseball-match related final! And just like last time when I elegantly slide down on my bum after I found the container, I had to do it this time again after I had hidden the container again. Quick swim in the baths and off home again!
Happy xmas and all the best for 2018!

#141 Noticed this one come up on the map and again another joint FTF making me the 3rd to find? or 2nd? Gotta be quick 'round here. Love this location and often come down here to paddle and fish, always thought a cache in south west arm would be cool. Not going to Japan anytime soon so swapped TB and given the hot days couldn't resist FTF Prize. Hope the container holds up given the elements. TFTC Nana Nel
Joint FTF with Wazza9! We were just heading out for the day when the notification came through for this one. A quick diversion and we soon found ourselves near to GZ where we bumped into Wazza9. It was busy with muggles here today but we knew exactly where the cache would be, in a familiar spot! Great views from here, and it was then off to the CO's place for coffee! Thanks for placing another good Christmas cache Nana Nel, and thanks for coffee! Took a TB to move on.

Joint {FTF} with The Hancock Clan.
Living so close to this I wasn't sure I wanted to be a FTF. It worked out well that I was able to share the title with others.
We chatted about all the craft that were moored nearby for a great spring water outing.
Left the FTF Christmas Prize for the next finder and visited some trackables.
