I'm teaching on a course at the Ridges hotel. Have a little break? Just stretching my legs very happy to see theres a few local caches to grab.Spe t 10 min looking for this oneBut no luck. Lunch is calling meWill try another timeThanks for maintaining the cache
Walked here from the office, took me a little while to spot, well hidden, thanks for the SideTracked cache!
Hi folks, this took a few visits last year by me before the correct (replacement) cache was placed. See activity log. I also noted recent finds/note that the old bison cap was spotted. Today I had spare time to come here. Ripped that out so you can focus on finding the replacement cache as intended by CO Aussiebrian
Geohusband mentioned this, so I came and found the replacement cache somewhere there. Glad were both not short people, TFTC
The day slowly came to an end. But *Filser1* and I still had time for this cache. But *Filser1* and I still had enough time for this cache. After a short search, we were able to discover the treasure.T4TC
On our travel TEMBO! and I visited the cache and signed the logbook. Thanks to Aussiebrian for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
Third time lucky. Mid Sep was difficult with a long and wide banner covering the whole thorny fence, promoting one of those horseracing carnivals. Mid Dec visit zilch so messaged CO after I left the crime scene. Today I attempted to convert these into a yellow smiley. Thanks to both CO aussiebrian and a visiting geocacher BernieH for keeping this cache in play.
Found this cache during a walk. Be careful around the thorns. Thanks for the cache!

Find number 12743 at 2:03:49pm on Wednesday the 13 December 2023Time to use up a travel voucher before it expires on December 31 so I hatched a plan for a day trip to Sydney to do some LGA's and SideTracked geocaches. First flight out of Melbourne in the morning and last flight back in the evening, it turned out to be a long day, up a 3:30 and back home at half past midnight for a total of nineteen geocaches, thirteen SideTracked and nine LGA's After a few messages with the CO over the last couple of days, I replaced this one with a new mint tin **Thanks for placing this cache Aussiebrian**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. A list of the geocaches can be found [here](https://coord.info/BM9GWJ5). The final GeoTour Event is the [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) on the 18th February 2024!You can also get prepared for the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards by checking out our preliminary lists [here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/).
Went for an early morning walk from my motel through Harris Park to Rosehill. This is such a busy road and so No luck was had. GPS would not get me anywhere and a quick scan of all magnetic structures revealed nothing. There was a newish sign in the fence but the cache is likely to be still here - just really didnt feel real comfortable here.TFTC anyway Aussiebrian
Didn’t phone . Unfortunately I was there around 9 pm and it was raining might’ve missed it but not sure.
Not magnetic any more. Coords spot on. Three lanes of mugglers were watching. TFTC
A straightforward find after completing an adventure nearby at UWS. This cache has certainly got sidetracked from where it was originally hidden (and where I was accosted by security guards when I was looking for it at the old overhead bridge eons ago) thanks to construction of the new metro.
Thanks for maintaining this as a hide Aussiebrian.

Nice quick find.
It was easier to find from the road side versus the car park.

Another hot day and some more caches were calling, so it was out on the hunt with goingplaces2. Managed to find the ones we wanted and found enough before heading back to cool off again. This one was fairly quickly found, signed and replaced. TFTC.
We went out on a a cache hunt with ilook4geo and stopped to have a look for this cache. This cache was not too hard to find and we soon put both names on the log to mark our visit. Thank you to Aussiebrian for placing this cache and for adding to the sidetracked series.

Took us a few minutes to find it but the clues in everyone’s comments lead me to it
Very obvious but didnt bring a pen so unfortunately couldnt mark name.. (new scroll inside)
Indeed a quick find. Gee the fence is tall but look up and read the sign and look down and light up your day.
Staying nearby so went for a quick walk in the fresh air. Log was wet so pen wouldn’t work properly. TFTC
Spotted easily on arrival. Placed another temporary log sheet in the cache. All good up until that point- I then dropped the cache on returning it but luckily could reach with a twig and a stretch to replace- phew! TFTC!
easy enough find
it was filled with water but the paper was still dry so i tipped the water out and put it back while trying to make sure it doesn’t get wet again.

On my way to Parramatta to get some new tires for my car, this cache popped up on the screen. Driven past many times I now decided to pull over and find it.
What a lot of rubbish around this area. We could easily host a CITO event here.
Cache was found quickly though.

Waiting for my car to be serviced I decided to grab this cache, but without a pen I needed picture proof that I was Rydgy Didge
Thanks dude, found it! Currently travelling with the circus and we’re set up next to the race course so nice easy stroll down to find it
A lovely late evening (early morning) find, and the streak continues.

I was jogging 'n caching around a new area, and this was my fourth stop. I had been jogging north of the river, and decided the run was too short so added this cache as a destination; this added about 4km to the journey. Once at GZ I soon had CIH - TNLNSL, before a quick look at the station. TFTC

#4765:
How extremely fascinating to see a train station being closed in 2020! I've visited a lot of disused stations in England, and done much research for caches I placed there. The Beeching axe in the 1960s closed hundreds of stations up and down the country, and it's interesting to see photos of the old stations years after closing, progressively getting more and more derelict.
Well I am witnessing this right now today, so I took some (what will be) historically significant photos of the station one month after closing.
There was a truck parked next to GZ, but luckily nobody inside it. I first went to the wrong side of the fence, before spotting it, and sneaking on round. TFTC.

210th SideTracked cache found, and 28th in New South Wales.
2400th Micro cache found.
3rd cache found in New South Wales City of Parramatta.

16:40 trying to get all the caches along the Carlingford-Clyde train line on this its last day of operation, I was pleasantly surprised to find this cache in good condition. Log has plenty of sheets left, just need to unroll it some more. Bring own pen/cil. Left a coin.
Sidetracked indeed. Walked over from the centre of Parramatta hoping I could time the walk and a find for the next train. I did it but it was close. It is not all that apparent from online maps exactly how to get to the platforms. I used the large pedestrian overpass and then wove my way through the empty car park. Found the right little corner and then headed for the train. It’s pretty much 50-50 trying to work out which platform goes which way and I was lucky that the Opal app was right today. SL TFTC Cheers.... Gaztek
Arrived at the station only to find it was more than 25 minutes to the next train, so decided to check if there was a cache in the area, and was delighted to find a Sidetracked cache here!
Took me longer than I'd like to admit to find it, and like others, I managed to accidentally drop the cache into the leaves on the far side of the fence while trying to replace it. Happily it was still within reach and I got it into position in the end!

In the area for a few days so decided to find this cache while I was here.
Was easy if you know where to look. and your hands are not to big, and you don't drop it on the other side.
Thanks for this cache Aussiebrian, and easy find, and replacement. Lil Donna

Aussiebrian I found your cache SideTracked - Rosehill Station on 11/5/19, 11:10 am. This is my find 2350 and find # 2 today. Had the car park to myself for a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Searched for this in its previous location.
Happy to get the smiley today.
Just as I grabbed it 2 muggles turned up to have morning tea next to my car.
Had to wait till they were distracted by their food so I could replace.
Who knew this area was so busy.
Thanks for the cache.

And then... at 00:05 after I'd parked at GZ and retrieved the cache a juggle appeared and parked at the end of the fenceline. Seriously? Who would've thought!? I had finished an evening shift of vote counting in the conference centre and with most staff having left certainly didn't expect to be muggled here!
You wouldn't believe it, I snuck back to GZ and promptly dropped the cache! On the wrong side of the fence!!! I couldn't reach it and thought I'd be there for a while, 'though eventually I found a suitable stick and dragged it back to finger reach, repositioned as found and returned to my car to head home.

OK this time. First chance after DNF about 6 months ago and it being relocated.
Thanks
It was on the ground amongst the leaf litter and a little wet. After drying it out as best I could, I replaced it where I think it should have been.

Nothing like driving right up to GZ. Not s muggle in sight.
Put my hand on the cache in the first place I looked.

Today we were all off over to Guildford for a Boxing Day lunch with relatives, but couldn't resist a few cache stops along the way. This was the 3rd of 7 finds for the day.
After finding "Train Spotter - Beware of Trains" we next came to this other railway themed cache. Parked the geomobile right at the cache (could just about be a "drive by" grab) then jumped out and made a quick find of the cache container. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Aussiebrian.

SideTracked find 30. Weeks ago I made a list of SideTracked caches in Sydney and today set out to find them. Unfortunately I didn't load this cache in my Garmin, but I had the coordinates written down. However I had noted the coordinates some weeks ago, so when I arrived here I spent AGES searching for the cache. To make it harder, 'Sydney Santa Spectacular' was on here tonight, and people kept walking past me. Finally, I decided to read old logs, and as I hadn't loaded the cache on my Garmin, I returned to my car to check it on my phone.
...............GOOD GRIEF [:0], I had been searching old coordinates . Oh hum, I proceeded to the new coordinates and made a quick find [:o)]. TFTC Aussiebrian.

Took way to long for us. But after going to the dark side I quickly spotted it. On replacing I could grab it from our original parking position. Why didn't I see that? Big hands might have trouble! TFTC
