I found this cache on a tour of Cardinia Hills. I had parked the car nearby and was soon at GZ. Couldn't find it where I was searching but I read another log said 8m out and sure enough, 8m to the west, I had it in hand. Thanks from D B-A
Found after our GPS sorted its self out! Its a bit wet inside but the log is all good. TFTC
Great little wander through this bush land. It took a few minutes for my iPhone to come to terms with the directions but the cache was soon found, safe and dry.TFTC and adventure.
Quick easy find here. GZ was about 8am off, so I thought where would be a good spot for a cache? And bingo schmingo! TFTC
I was out this way to find some caches, so here was I. Nice easy find today. My thanks to DIRTBAGS DOWNUNDER for the cache.
Nice morning out for a walk with the wife and two dogs.
Some great caches in the area where found.
Did a bit of bush bashing to find the caches here as none of them were right next to the track.
Unfortunately had one DNF in the area

Great find, wasn't so obvious in the dusk and headbutted a branch with prickly stuff on the way out but had fun!
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to 1TOOLMAN for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Back to the path avoided the dip and made my way to this cache, GPS slightly playing hard to get but cache was located in a very Geo place. So at this point in time I was rather pleased with my 3 finds and thought the day would not get much tougher,, In true DGS I was so so wrong.
We are on holiday and finding some caches in the area. This one took us a little while, it helps to be searching the right area. Thanks for the cache
Beautiful day for a beautiful cache. The Aussie bush land is amazing. Keep an eye out for birds, kangaroos and echidna.
I’m trying to fill in some dates on my calendar so this one was today’s. When I left work it was raining lightly, so based on the others nearby that I'd found I thought I'd give this one a go even though I was in my work clothes and shoes. I did my best not to twist an ankle or slide on the wet ground onto my bum while poking a stick in lots of holes around where the app was pointing. After finally trying the other area nearby, the hide was quickly found in a logical spot. I struggled to open it though and needed to go back to the car for my multi-tool to gently encourage the hinge to do its job, my nails weren't strong enough. Once opened, the log book was in great condition, signed and returned to its's hiding place.
Thanks 1TOOLMAN
Thanks 1TOOLMAN
Lovely area, not a hard find but I'd be more reluctant in the warmer months! TNLNSL TFTC

Completing a series near by and still had time for another adventure.
Cache found safe and sound.

Very nice hide! Almost like nature intended it to be that way! Cleaned up a little trash too! Not much round here but always sad to see! Thanks for the cache! Lovely area!
Oops - wrote this a few weeks ago... much quieter now! “Love this bush too and as now we have time on our hands to spend wisely doing geocaches this looks like a fun distraction heading up to this nice bush that’s so different to my backyard in the NE. This is the perfect social distancing solo activity in times of COVID. Not many people out and about - as it should be unless ‘exercising’ so I ran (likely not many people’s definition of running) Keen to explore explore this area whilst in Melbs staying with mum who is of course isolated so this fits the times. TFTC and the effort to get out here.”
Crank1 found it. My GPS not happy with Melbourne's weather lol. Thanks for the cache and hide
I haven't really felt inclined to attempt these before and I"m not really sure why. I don't know this area very well and I didn't really understand the theme As it turned out I picked a beautiful morning to visit this lovely spot. A great series, terrain ratings spot on and I certainly didn't find them dead or dirty. This was my first stop having parked the car nearby. Looked on the wrong side of the fence at first but soon corrected and not long after I had the cache in hand. Took nothing , left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache 1TOOLMAN / DIRTBAGS DOWNUNDER.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. We are leaving our comfort zone and having a go at being Dirtbags. This was the first for the day, you have to ease into these things. TFTC
Found find and cbear232006 had to steal the show. Found also with tommitch23 & jo_zenang. TFTC!
A day off work and I needed to be on the east side of Melbourne Friday night so I decided some caching on this side of the city was in order. I cam here so I could finally lay claim to finding a DGS cache. A nice easy one to get me started. Here I made the mistake/good fortune of messaging a DGS member...
One of the few times the hubby got the gloves out to retrieve a cache. I wasn’t talking any chances, so stood back until I was sure no guardians were going to jump out and surprise me.
Thanks Dirtbags Downunder and 1TOOLMAN. Nice to have a relatively quick find for a change.

First find, had no idea what I was doing but got there eventually with the help of GeoEeyore. TFTC.
This one was a nice quick find compared to the others nearby. In good condition. Enjoyed my walk around this area in the early morning.
Coordinates were a little off on this one but we just kept looking for a hole and eventually we found it! Thanks for the cache!!
It was a GNARLY drive just getting up here. A noce spot and no one around which ticks all my boxes.
A quick find here, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

Reached inside the Dirty Hole and thankfully got what we were looking for. Luckily no other surprises.
Thanks 1TOOLMAN and DIRTBAGS DOWNUNDER for another great cache.

Some dodgy satellites had me going round and round. At one point one of those spiky acacia's slapped my in the mouth and I nearly stormed off. After a while I decided to check to other side of the fence and found it quite fast, damn tree looks fully formed from one side - I had walked straight past it the first time.
Found a pencil lurking near the base of the tree so I threw it in the cache. Contemplated going for the others but school pickups were bearing down on me like a vulture hangs over a rotted corpse.

Getting a taste for DGS caches tim_amy and myself decided to get out of suburbia to do some real caches. An easy walk in from where we parked the car. The GPS pointed me to one side of the fence and then the other. No mint tins or nanos here because we know dirtbags don't do those. What we did find was a decent sized container and not even an echidna in sight. Let the adventures begin. Thanks.

Second dgs in 2 days and this one was a little tricky it was a few meters off where gps was zero and I knew it wasn't in that fence post but the search made the find more rewarding. TFTC
This cache itself had an interesting little cache guardian. But before that, upon arriving on the parking area I soon made my way over to the cache and soon spotted what i needed. Aha I thought this must be the dirty hole the name references. But as I looked in I saw a certain pattern right next to the cache..... huh there is an echidna in the tree hollow..... he seems to be asleep so lets try a different angle and not disturb him.... with tactical precision I extracted the cache and soon signed and replaced it in its hidey hole.
We very tentatively brought the kids on this adventure after completing another series nearby.
Having done a couple of DGS caches we of course didn’t know what to expect, but we are pretty sure the kids won’t get the innuendo (although the geoteen might :/).
Parking nearby, we soon found the hole and a very, very beautiful cache. This will stay dry!
Thank you DIRTBAGS DOWNUNDER, we’re off to a great start!

After attending the 3am WWFM event in Officer and then spending a few hours at Lysterfield finding a night cache and now the day was just beginning so off I went in search of so more caches that I have not found, this was one of them.
I wasn't going to find this series today but as I was going passed I thought just a couple and the letterbox but after starting, I kept on going and found them all.

A rather easy find, after the last 2 caches. Tnsl. Must be good views here of Pack'em -if the trees were'nt there

I have been meaning to come out and check out the aqueduct trail for years so finally today I decided to come and have a look. I parked at the main parking area and headed off with the goal of completing the series of 4 aqueduct caches plus any others if I had time.
I gathered clues for the multis and alternated between caches as each next waypoint came up.
A few horse and walking muggles out today but overall pretty quiet which suited me perfectly.
I continued my walk to this one since I was nearby and made a nice quick find in great hiding spot.
Thanks DIRTBAGS DOWNUNDER for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I have always enjoyed my DGS adventures, and I haven't had too many DNFs, so while driving past collecting the new ANZAC series caches I had to stop here again. Second visit to this cache and I parked in the same place but took a different way towards the GZ.
Last time my search was called off because of time and it getting too dark to see, no such worries this time unless the search took me a few hours.
The previous visit, the GPS was bouncing around way too much to determine a localised GZ location. So this time, I left the GPS in the car. After studying the maps, I had learned that both sides of the fence near the rough GZ were public land. So this time I focused on the other side of the fence to where I had been previously. The cache was very quickly found this time, in a place that I never even looked at last time.
Thanks for the cache Dirtbags Downunder and Toolman

A DGS Dirtbag cache that is a T1.5, a D1.5 and a Park and Grab?
Dam I've fallen for this COs trap again.
After 20 minutes searching had no luck.
In contact with the CO, still no luck after 10 minutes, and now its dark and I'm late for cooking dinner.
Will be back another time

Heading towards Melbourne after a massive day caching we picked up 2 dirtbag trads as we made our way to the nearby letterbox. beckNmonts didn't need this one as they were FTF so they waited patiently at the gate as we quickly signed the logbook and continued on our way.
Thanks for the cache.
