Kristy was on fire, another one in hand!We (LetThemEatCache, Kristy's Adventures and I), aka SLiK, enjoyed this walk through Treasure Island. Some great camo hides too. Thanks GoneFishen07, we intend to come back to finish the series soon.
Phillip Island sure is Treasure Island - I would happily be marooned here for a little while with the good company of team SiLK (Snipsandco and LetThemEatCache and I)!This was a lovely walk where we were greeted by many wallabies and kookaburras and I wondered which creature was doing the most selfies with the wildlife cameras, we may or may not have peered in a few The caches here were well crafted and placed.Thank you for the hides and we have planned another trip to come back and explore further.
**Treasure Island Rhyll Inlet series #15-21**Nothing better than a quick road trip with like-minded geo partners-in-crime. Today it was to Phillip Island to grab a few TDOC23 and nominated caches, and any others that took our fancy. We started at the southern end of this Treasure Island reserve (at #21) and worked our way north to #15 in this series. A great walk with no DNFs, all were hidden well and very clever camo on most of them. Quite a few swamp wallabies were interested in what we were doing, or not phased at all! Lots of lovely birdlife too, and thankfully no wriggly sticks. Sorry for the template, but Im behind in my logging. Our group signed collectively as SLiK, SiLK or individual names as space would allow. Thanks BorisB&Natasha, all good here. Cache on *Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**---Cant wait for Christmas? Come along to the next best thing, Cachemas in July! Out and about on trusty treadles AKA my MTB exploring the trail and the different landscape to my homebase. The planets aligned and a spontaneous decision to head down to the Island for some sea breeze, ozone and coastal vistas on a free day AND of course caching (or casheering as dear mum would say) transpired. This great hobby is such an invitation to explore aspects of any location and the ISLAND has plenty of that. Quick find at GZ with a good hint. TFTc and the FUN.
Nice easy find soon signed and then had to wait for muggles to pass to return to its Hussey spot
With our annual Phillip Island holiday coming to its last couple of days, we decided to start the day with a walk to clean up the rest of the caches we don't have smileys on in the 'Treasure Island - Rhyll Inlet' series. Being 3/3 so far throughout the day we were pretty confident making our way to GZ for this cache. We continued our streak for the day almost instantly, as the cache was found in the first spot that we looked. Tftc BorisB&Natasha
This one was a bit more exposed than it possibly should have been which made for an easy find.
1 2 3 4 geocaches ah ah ah.I love to count.Imagine The Count from Sesame St.TNLNSL TFTC Jeffjulie
Day two on Phillip Island with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies. We got the deadly treadlies out and rode the caches around Cowes, also filling in a few AdLabs.A bit lower but still a similar container. Thanks, Robmc.
21417. Day 2 of our little Phillip Island Adventure. Looked like being the best day of the week so we loaded the doggies into their trailer, jumped on the bikes and headed out for some caching between Cowes and Rhyll and then more around town in the afternoon. Great to get a ride in although it was very very windy.Thought we were going to have a DNF here until I was making my way back to the track and there it was looking at me. Added our name and continued on.Thanks BorisB&Natasha
Thanks for another terrific cache BB&N. Found with Jimmytherat. Nice day for a caching stroll.
#23 - As mentioned by previous finders, looks like the camo on this cache has come off. Put it back where it belongs (it has an obvious “spot” & gave it a bit of cover so it’s not quite so obvious.
Nice weather for me to decide riding my ebike along the track to find Treasure Island-Rhyll inlet caches. Found most of it without DNF. Had a great day. Nice hide. Thanks BorisB&Natasha for placing this cache
Looked over it too many times. Fresh set of eyes came in and found it straight away. TFTC
TFTC. This one was missing some camo so a quick find. Covered her up a little to help make it slightly tougher
It seemed to us that the top part of the hide had disappeared, so we just covered it when we left. All good apart from that, tftc.
Youngest found his first find for the day, bounced back after spider fears early on. The morning fog has burned off and it’s getting quite warm! TFTC

Visiting the area for a catch-up with friends. I found Treasure Island - Rhyll Inlet #18 today. Another very well disguised one here.
Many thanks BorisB&Natasha for providing and maintaining this game piece for our enjoyment.
The log book and container are both in good condition.

Staying in Phillip island for a few days and noticed this trail, so while Mr geco had a nap I headed out to explore. I enjoyed the trail and the search for the clever hides. Shame to see some of the camo's had become unstuck but enjoyed the hunt. Sorry for the mass log but they merged into one when I logged them after the walk. TFTC
lol, I was not expecting that type of hide. But found after a short search, though the rest of my group left without me! TFTC from Tennessee, USA
Not so much that the TKBs couldn't find this cache but it was the meter long red bellied black snake that was the problem but we had a crack at it
All day we were expecting to encounter a wriggly stick but had so far not seen any! This was the one and we decided it would be safer to let it be for now.

On a hike from Rhyll to Cowes around the inlet, then via the Oswin Roberts Conservation Reserve.
Quickly found once in the right spot... this might have been tougher when it had whatever camo originally hid it from view.
Thanks, BorisB&Natasha.

Spiffy- and I decided to take advantage of this rare public holiday and went to the Island. Luckily we headed off early as on the way back the traffic getting on to the island went for about 10km.
This cache was found without issue.
Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for the fun and the adventure.

Today we headed off early to Phillip Island and glad we did because the traffic was at a standstill coming onto the island when we left. For a public holiday the weather was surprisingly good. After finding the main cache we needed today we deployed the scooters at the car park here and rode each direction along this awesome trail. Geez they went to a lot of trouble building all these boardwalks. A great range of caches were found along here today.
Spotted the camo on arrival and then the cache.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Out on my own today about while staying with friends and looking forward to early morning walk. This is a well made well-maintained path and bonus to see there the Wallabies and the birds moving freely. Like precious finder this one was out in the open. Replaced in its cubby and with a little bit of coverage. Cache in good condition. Thanks for the walk Boris&Natasha I have never been along here before.
After a solid morning finding part of this series I had a. Real and a feed before this section in Oswin Roberts Reserve Found this out in the open. Placed as best I could. TFTC BorisB&Natasha
Down at Phillip Island for our holidays, we went for a lovely bike ride to Rhyll. On the way back, we thought we'd stop off at this carpark/walk and find a few of these caches. Got this one fairly easily after a bit if a search.
Down at the island for a few days before Christmas, took the opportunity to grab some caches this morning. Beautiful area, tftc!
After a long day out, started with a walk along the beach to find a series of caches at 7am, to morning tea and coffee at Silverwater prior to the CITO, the Weeding and planting at the CITO, plus numerous walks we had walked over 12km for the day. With the thunder happening for the last hour, decided to get as many as we could before the rain especially as we have enjoyed the variety and challenge the rest of this series has been.
Last one we did here today as it’s getting dark and the rain isn’t fair away with the thunder coming faster. Took a little to find here, and found. A couple of hundred metres later the rain started and on bursts all the way back to the car park we were certainly wet at the end! TFTC and all of the variety!

Accompanied with silence49. Found your cache BorisB&Natasha, thank you so much for placing it.
I could not find this for the life of me and the gps was taking me all over the place. I gave up and moved on. Two caches later and this was still bugging me so I returned with a different idea of where I should concentrate my efforts and found the cache fairly quickly
Beautiful fantail nest directly above and parents going crazy! Understandable! Tftc
Out with Omegaman1971 to do a few caches in the area and attend our first event in along time.
This was one of the caches we found today. We had a great day checking out the many places the island has to offer.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for the cache.

This was a devious hide but I actually got there rather quickly in the end about the 3rd place I looked. Thanks.
This could be the sneakiest hide of them all.
After widening the search area we came back to where we started. I couldn't quite believe it when I picked it up.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for this tricky cache.
Chiefton!!!

It was sitting m out on the ground. I rehid it but was not sure where it was meant to go.
From 23.09 until 24.11.2019 Stadibast and I spent our holidays in Australia.
During the first four weeks we drove with a camper van from Darwin to Perth along the West coast and its amazing national parks, in which we made several hiking tours.
After that we flew to the wonderful green Tasmania for a roundtrip lasting two weeks.
For the last three weeks we went back to the continent and followed the South-East-Coast from Melbourne to Sydney.
We had impressive nine weeks in Australia, in which we hiked through various national parks, visited interesting sights and met many friendly and helpful people.
Thanks to all owners for setting and maintaining their caches.

Having arrived on the island yesterday evening we took a look at the map and decided to hike the Treasure Island - Rhyll geo-trails. We had a thoroughly enjoyable walk, did some good bird watching along the way, and of course had great fun finding lots of geocaches, many of them well camouflaged and cleverly hidden - and so many thanks to the CO for having provided us with the opportunity for another great day out geocaching. This one took us ages to find once in the Ground Zero area, then just as we’d allowed ourselves another 2 minutes before giving up Mr Team GBS found the cache exactly where I had looked before! We signed the log book in position 24 and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Had to wait for 2 different sets of muggles yo pass before I could start my search found in the 3 place I looked. Sl thanks Gonefishen and Borisb&Natasha for the caches
Out and about on the island today after attending the Parkrun event. My 117th parkrun today, and another 20 cache to my name. A bunch of drivebys, a maccas breaky, ice cream at the chocolatier snd back home for a rest. A pleasant mornings fun, tired now, might snooze.
Down for a weekend with a few mates and thought we'd go for a bike ride (and cache) to pass the day. Logged as RACK (Melro9, myslef, Colinw178 and Kremmen). Quick find here. TFTC
On a caching road trip with gwd.aussie in a effort to complete the Mystery of the Museum Promotion. Thankfully a better day than yesterday enabling us to get the bikes out to undertake the series. A bit tricky but I eventually spotted the hide.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Some tricky hides in this series.
Some took some time to find, others were quick.
This one was one that took a while, but D@geo found it near our start point of our search.
On a caching run trying to complete the Mystery in the Museum Promotion
Out Caching with D@geo on our bikes
Thank you for the cache BorisB&Natasha

Find #10351
After completing my volunteering duties at #Parkrun this morning, I began heading for the CITO nearby. I stopped along the way in Hampton park to pick up @n0w0rries and then in Tooradin to pickup @buhfuhguh Now we were on our way. Time was tight for the CITO, but we made it with half an hour to spare.
After CITO was done and dusted, we headed for a small trail of caches nearby.
Many thanks to BorisB&Natasha for the cache. TNLN.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2019?*

n0w0rries found your cache Treasure Island - Rhyll Inlet #18, on 3 August 2019
I was tempted to use the old "shortest distance between two points" to reach this one but did the right thing and stayed on the formed trails.
Good thing too.
a & b walked past within mere centimetres of the hide.
For the first time in ages, I spotted the cache as I arrived.
Sometimes the angles are just right.
A discussion ensued about the merits of these classic pieces of geo-hardware.
I love 'em.
Not often found in environments such as this and nice and dry inside.
This one is just fine. [^]
Thank you for placing and maintaining this Micro geocache for us to find, BorisB&Natasha.

After getting lunch at a nearby bakery n0w0rries, ahomburg and I decided that we would tackle this little series of caches in this reserve to wait for the tide to go down for us to attempt one of our main targets for the day. So with our rain jackets on and pens at the ready, we were off.
Most of the caches in here were quick and easy finds with us progressing along nicely, all bar the last one in the reserve that took far longer then what was really required of it.
Anyways thanks for the caches and the nice walk through this well-maintained reserve.

I came here with t00thpaste. I thought it might be a bit tough to find. We looked around and I climbed a tree. There was nothing too obvious around. All of a sudden t00thpaste reckoned he'd found it. I looked up and he was right. Thanks for the cache and the clever hide, I didn't think to look there.
We are having a holiday in Phillip Island this week. Being the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, coupled with some lovely weather, made it very busy, with muggles out everywhere you went. There were many people walking and riding along the trails today.
We broke out the bikes to do this interesting little trail, where we found a variety of good hides in different containers. A reasonably quick find by the geoson.
Thanks for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Sometimes when riding a bike from cache to cache, you can miss the beauty of the area. Being in holiday mode, we took our time and enjoyed our surroundings while picking up these caches along the way.
Thank you BorisB&Natasha.

Nice quick find although I lingered linger to watch the family of wrens nearby. My nan used to love wrens so seeing them always makes me smile. Thanks for the cache!
Quick find while riding my bike. Seen a few beautiful wallabies. Becoming a warm sunny day
Took quite a while on this one, until it was spotted from the path by geograndma! Nice!
Headed out this morning with my dad in tow to find some caches and get my steps up. Since it’s a hot day, we set a rough time limit and left a car at Conservation Hill carpark, then drove down to the bottom of Oswin Roberts Reserve and walked back to the other car. We found 5 out of 7 looked for, then left the rest for next time as we started to get hot and bothered. Despite the heat, it’s a lovely 4km walk. (No dogs allowed, though.)
After a bit of a search (this reserve has so many dead logs and branches where things could be hidden), I read some logs and returned to the path. Spotted first by my dad (again - oh dear) from the path. To my chagrin, I had already searched this spot thoroughly — or so I thought. No excuse for not finding it then, except for the fact the container is not quite like most of the others in this series. Anyway, another smiley for us today — our fourth. (Dad - 4, Ellen - 0)
