Time to say goodbye, thank you everyone who made the time to come and find this cache. Area not suitable for a large container at present, due to the removal of some of the trees Sad

07-Feb-24
It is confirmed the barrel is missing. I have removed the bag. More trees have been chopped down since my last visit, really sad, as it will only encourage the gorse and blackberry to take over. A sad day

04-Feb-24
Bag still there but empty might need maintenance!

04-Feb-24
Bag was empty sorry Sad

07-Jan-24
Cache not missing, you do need to open all bottles, until you find the well concealed log

30-Dec-23
Not a great start to our day but a nice walk here all the same. This could be a case of sticking a cache between a wealthy home owner and their view of the sea. Result; lovely Manuka trees hacked and killed because home owner does not deem them view worthy

Replaced the missing log, csche all ready for next finder

The cache was indeed easy to find, though despite double checking every possible location of the log, I couldn't find it. I did have one clever idea, but no luck. I did manage to sign something, so maybe that was it? CO might want to check up on this to confirm if the log is actually missing. Thanks!

Cache number 3 for me today, on my walk from Mt Roskill to Waterview. I saw a heron not too far from GZ, so maybe that's where this park got its name Smile Phone was having some issues at this point so the GPS didn't settle and it took a while of searching around before finding the cache as per the hint. Then it took probably the same amount of time, if not longer, to find the log... but that's what made it fun Big Grin Eventually found it, signed the log, mixed everything up again and replaced. Took the TB. TFTC!

(Oh, and nice to get a Large size cache too--this one gets me the next Project-GC large cache badge!)

29-Oct-21
Found it thank you! ️

12-Oct-21
If the owner hadn’t just done maintenance on this I would have given up. I have no idea how I missed the cache for so long! I may be the exception that I found the log faster than the cache. I thought I was clever with finding the log, but even then I got out smarted!

I haven’t geocached in ages, but needed to get rid of a travel bug that I found among my late brother in law’s things, and one that I simply forgot I had!

Thank for the amazing cache.

11-Oct-21
I was told that the container might need a top up of bottles, so today I am on a planned maintenance run checking up on a few of my caches.

Well got to GZ to discover the cache had moved between 5-10m, so I have moved it back! away from the path/motorway/shortcut to the park.

Some extra bottles have been added, and I checked that the log was still in place, which happily it is!

My work is done, so Happy level caching day everyone Big Grin

06-Oct-21
Out on a post work walk with Gorby (same work bubble!!) and stopped by this cache, I have been meaning to for quite some time!

Found it no worries, evicted a ton of cockroaches from the bag.

Actually found the log very quickly! Nicely camoed!

Thanks for the nice cache!

26-Sep-21
Thanks to the creator.

25-Sep-21
Couldn't find the bear or the log...will have to come back

12-Sep-21
*this was completed while wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and complying with the restrictions of lockdown - therefore the logbook is not touched & signed.*
Beware of the spiders and the dog next door Wink

Last cache of the day before I went and sat in traffic for ages to get home. This was a nice quick challenge though I left my pen in the car so will attach a pic of the log sheet as proof of find. Second Large sized cache of the afternoon too.

I haven't taken much exercise over the last couple of weeks and have been yearning for a good leg-stretch, especially as Autumn is here with cooler mornings, and rapid loss of evening light. And so with an early start at work(before 0600) and working through lunch etc, I treated myself to a slightly early finish and headed along the Northern motorway to do some caching out Waterview and surrounding area. I ended up walking 10km plus in the afternoon sun and not too many people around so time to search and look for caches. I ended up with half a dozen gorbys, 7 rustys and a funky munky cache for 14 finds total. Thanks to the COs.

01-Mar-21
Had real fun trying to find it.. almost walked straight past it... But found it at the end..no log book though so might have to visit again to check in...

This was so cool! We should have checked the gallery before we set off. It didn't take long to find the bear, but the cache was not wedged at head height. Following from previous finder (Agazo) we replaced it where we found it (most of the hint for the Field Puzzle could apply here).

This was such a fun cache to find, especially finding the log. It was so good we sent Daddypig123 and Daddypig's Assistant in to also find it whilst we held on to the geohound.

08-Jan-21
It was both fun and really frustrating trying to find the log but we managed. Absolutely loved this cache it's one of the best ones we have found so far!

30-Dec-20
I was looking in the place suggested by the hint, but the cache seems to have moved (or maybe gravity took its toll), so after a fairly thorough search in the wrong place, I stumbled on the cache location. If we didn't already know where you worked, we could figure it out from this cache.
I returned the cache to where I found it. TFTC.

14-Dec-20
Easy find.....a couple of surprises. Barrell of fun???

Heading home from a working bee at my youngest brother's house, I stopped off here to use the toilets, and to find a geocache of course. Easily found this time. TFTC. Pen didn't work, but I did (eventually) find the log sheet.

18-Oct-20

17-Oct-20
Checked on cache, and it is still there for the next cacher to find Big Grin

Remember the finding of the cache is the easy bit, it is the log, that is the tricky bit Wink

14-Oct-20
Could not find according to hint. Scarcely anywhere here to wedge anything. Sorry.

11-Oct-20
Cache has been replaced, the challenge is finding the log - you will need to look within Big Grin

With part of Team BOP - (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, and NZFlossy... All logs were signed RoT - Rotorua or Tauranga. We have been planning this mini raid of Auckland for a short time. We have discovered that we need a small push to kick onto our next milestone. Hopefully, this weekend's haul of caches will bring us a little closer...

We decided to focus much of our attention on Te Atatu this weekend. The sheer number of caches, the walkability factor, and the rumor of some high quality caches sounded appealing... We also agreed to stay together on the trail rather than split up - This proved to be a good idea considering the reputation and hiding prowess of the COs in this area. Four pairs of eyes didn't miss much...

Relocating our vehicle so we can reach the last stretch of caches along the North Western Cycleway... A pleasant walk out to this one. We climbed up the small hillside and quickly found this neat field puzzle - The fun came from trying to find the log. This was not what we expected... A family passed below as we were in full swing. I don't even think they noticed us... Take my favourite point... Thanks rustynz and TFTC.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, NZ Flossy, Squirrel Nutcase and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed ROT and I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers

On an Auckland adventure with three other BOP cachers. An early start with lots of fun and a night in the big smoke. I don’t venture up here very often but we were on a mission. Thanks to the COs for some great caches Signed as Team ROTTFTC

#771. I was intrigued by the description of this cache, so I started my afternoon caching session with this one. It said that the cache was easy to find. Well, it was! I could see it from a long way away.

And the reason for that is... it was out in the open, with the contents strewn everywhere and the lid off. And there was a lot of contents - you'll see what I mean when you find it.

Despite being all over the place, I picked everything up, put it all back together, located the log and signed it, and hid it behind a tree. Obviously I've got no idea where it is actually supposed to be hidden... but it's such a big cache you should easily be able to find it.

I even managed to find the three trackables listed in the cache, they were hiding in the grass in various places. I took them and will move them on.

I guess, fortunately, the cache and trackables were of interest to muggles but not enough for them to actually take it away. The cache lives on!

Earlier today, I had a mission to try and set a record for 200 caches in one day. That went spectacularly bad - I only ended up getting 14 before my car broke down - you can read about it in my log for [GC4WCKK](http://coord.info/GC4WCKK). Despite that, I wanted to at least get to 30 today, so I set about getting caches around Waterview and Oakley Creek on foot. This was my first for the afternoon and 15th overall today.

Thank you very much for the cache!!!!

Just a quick break to get a couple of caches today and decided to get a few a bit closer to home including this one. I came here with Albert the Geohound as it's an excellent park for dog-walking and I wasn't surprised to come across a few other folks out and about with their hounds on a beautiful day like today.

Took a bit of a look on the map and a satellite view to have a guess what would be the best way to make myself get here without trouble and in the end didn't have problems at all. Nice big cache to find with plenty of room for swag, dropped a piece, took nothing. Very well done way of doing the logbook and that's all I'll say, good job.

Travel bugs galore - picked up three dropped two. All good here, thanks for the cache.

13-Apr-19
Wandered along here from another cache and it was soon located. Finding the log book took a bit longer but we got there in the end. TFTC
