Logs
Going to log this one as one up the road is telling me it's only for premium and my friends can log it but I can't
Pretty sure this is where it was meant to be as there is a broken cable tie, no cache though looks like these trees have recently been trimmed
Thought I knew where it would be so dived off into the trees, only to be called back as caching buddy had spotted it from the car - unable to sign as log book is wet and mushy.
When I got up today and realised it was International Geocaching Day, I thought I better get amongst it, Gabby59 are you keen? Yes she was, but first we had to get some jobs done. Rendezvous at 4.30pm and cached till the sun went down.
TFTC it was in great condition

Day two of my road trip through Southland. Today's journey takes me from Invercargill back to Mosgiel. My rather indirect route goes by way of Riverton on to Tuatapere then through Winton, Mataura and Balclutha. With a final detour up to Middlemarch. Old School Challenge caches are the focus of the trip, but there's a few others to look for along the way as well.
I enjoyed doing this series. It certainly helped to give the days total a boost. TFTC

A nice quick find thanks. I completed all of the series today, 25 please Bob caches. (where is I? Hmmm looking back I found it in 2019!!)
Ms_KR and I are on a wee South Island break. A day spent collecting smileys around and about Balclutha. It rained a wee bit about lunchtime, but it was a glorious day for caching!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After shifting my snail shell to Balclutha, where I have never stayed before in my six years of travelling the country, it is only today that I have managed to get some caching done. To make up for the lack of signed caches I decided to do this series to the South of this burg to get my numbers up. Also it is the start of a new Climb The Peak mountain.
This is another in the series.
Cheers for the cache.

It is strongly recommend that whilst we go for a walk for exercise, we need to take care on shared surfaces and geocaching should not be done at this time; https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/New+Zealand
To remove temptation, I am disabling this cache and ask kindly that you do not find this cache during lockdown.
Remember there is more than physically finding a cache, there are plenty of puzzle caches you can do at home. Or if you live near a multi you can walk the trail and save the find for another day. For more info or connect with wider community see Geocaching New Zealand on Facebook.

Off on a weekend travelling up to and around Balclutha grabbing caches here and there plus hunting up the new Challenge Wonders Souvenirs. This was no.6 *Paricutin Volcano* of the 7 Naturals. I had left a fair amount of the A-Z series, glad I did! Picking up what's needed an extra thanks for the series Natalie
#19039. J was close to V (geographically, not alphabetically). so I jogged down the road from V to J while Troodles as finishing up at V. Quick find at J. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we slowly make our way north from Invercargill. We encountered a bit of rain in Gore, but luckily it cleared up and we were able to carry on caching .

Friday 13. Balcultha to Gore and back. Another long day with Gore on the agenda. But got sidetracked with back to basics with the ABC series. So lets hit the road!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Day Two Of Our Journey to South Island With Squirrel Nutcase
The huge rain falls that had arrived a couple of days ago have now passed. Amazed as to how quickly the area has dried out.
On one DNF today due to the cache been washed away by the high river levels.
Another good day, thanks to cache placements and successfully arrived in Dunedin tonight.
Thanks to all the Cache Owners for these placements.

With Fap and Gap... Late last year, we started to plan for a trip to the South Island - The goal was to complete the TMGT trail.
Invercargill - Dunedin: Gap had some solved puzzles in the area, and we were suckered into driving this big loop road by the volume of caches along it... A quick find with a specific hint and good coordinates. Thanks Natalie247 and TFTC.

Had to do a few jobs around home, and then the mission was accepted to find clues for the mystery at the musuem challenge.
We figured the only chap that might have answers might be Bob, so we then decided to head that way.
Great fun visiting the outer and inner workings of Balclutha
Tftc.

After doing the needed work around home we decided as this was the only free day for a long time leta go and try to pick some clues for the mystery at the museum, but where to start so out with the trusty magnifine glass and with a little detective work come up with s person of interest.
So we decided to go and see Bob as we believe he may have some need info. After we talk to Bob we are now on the right track to find the jewels .
So first we needed to grab this cache ????? with a bit of detective work we the right info and got what was needed
Still alot of detective work needed but each clue is a bit closer to solving the case. But we are getting very close not long now and I think we will have uncovered what is needed
Heading out of town in hot pursuit of the last bits of the puzzle. Here's another bit of the puzzle back to Bob to get the last bits needed now do we have enough to crack the case????
Looks like we have got the treasure in site and are closing in
Log book all good
Thanks for the hide

Headed down south a beautiful still autumn afternoon south which was new territory for me with CO to help with her maintenance run while convalescing in the car. Great way to find caches and check they are all okay. TFTC Natalie247
I decided to tackle this series today - having decided a couple of weeks ago I was rather annoyed when I suffered an accident yesterday which hampered my efforts a little. Nevertheless, I managed all twenty-six today!
Again, a useless hint - but this time I was a bit more switched on and found it almost instantaneously upon getting to GZ. Nothing else special here - cheers!

On a road trip, chauffeured by Saethwr as she gets some more driving experience. This is a good run to get further on my quest to find the world turtle.
Bit trickier parking here and we ended up practising 3 point turns at the next and previous cache.
Windy here today.
Thanks for the smilie Natalie247.

Having a day out and picnic in the clutha area. Enjoying the winter sunshine. Again going to places never visited before. Thanks to all cache owners.
Dakotacats and I decided to make a full day of caching in the area and one of our main targets was this A - Z series. We found all caches in this series and enjoyed the different roads and scenery along the way. TFTC
4Clubs and I spent an enjoyable day caching in the area. We found all 26 of the Blockbuster series, and we travelled on roads we have never travelled on before. Thanks for putting this series out Natalie, we had fun.
Haven't done this many caches in months! What fun! - especially since I am finding them !
Down South for a geocaching day trip with the main intention being A - Z please Bob. Started this series with A but then all order was lost! A fun series which was very much enjoyed. TFTC Natalie247 and the time and effort for this series which many of us feature in
Haven't been on a caching "dawn raid" for ages! Set off before sun-up to clean up the Blockbuster A-Z series. Early on Easter Monday proved an excellent time to do so as, away from SH1, there was just nobody around. On way home the traffic was heavy heading south out of Dunedin. Apparently some second-rate musician had done a few concerts over the weekend in town, which generated a few visitors. All 26 A-Z caches found, plus another at Kaihiku Falls. All the side-roads were pretty much new to me so that was a bonus. Apologies to the CO for the generic cut and paste logs for most of the series but when you're "speed-caching" the whole thing becomes a bit of a blur. Thoroughly enjoyable outing. TFTC.
A trying to have different comments for each. No copy and paste here. Tftc
Traversing the side roads for pillcans. Wet outer container, poured water off. Bag was ok. tfts
Coming home from being on business. Thought be a great chance to get these new caches, TFTC.
When the notifications for the caches in this series started coming in I randomly clicked on one of them - this one! What are the chances and I sure sat up when I saw my name in the description and in the hot chair. Honoured to be included thank you Natalie. TFTC # 11,933
Another stop, another satisfying find, really enjoying being passenger and taking in the countryside.
Thanks
