Not quite wedged in anymore, good find on my wedding anniversary.. and yes, hubby remembered...lol
#23461. Just as well our detour resulted in a find (a second DNF and Troodles would have been very grump). TFTC.
Today StreetWalkerNZ and I are travelling home to Christchurch after an enjoyable week caching in and around first Dunedin and then Invercargill. It's a long way to travel so we have to limit caching along the way. After failing to find the cache up the road, it was a relief to get this one (though did miss it on first pass). Also happy that the long grass separating us from the cache was dry. TFTC.
Day two of my road trip through Southland. Today's journey takes me from Invercargill back to Mosgiel. My rather indirect route goes by way of Riverton on to Tuatapere then through Winton, Mataura and Balclutha. With a final detour up to Middlemarch. Old School Challenge caches are the focus of the trip, but there's a few others to look for along the way as well.
I enjoyed doing this series. It certainly helped to give the days total a boost. TFTC

A nice quick find thanks. I completed all of the series today, 25 please Bob caches. (where is I? Hmmm looking back I found it in 2019!!)
Ms_KR and I are on a wee South Island break. A day spent collecting smileys around and about Balclutha. It rained a wee bit about lunchtime, but it was a glorious day for caching!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

It is strongly recommend that whilst we go for a walk for exercise, we need to take care on shared surfaces and geocaching should not be done at this time; https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/New+Zealand
To remove temptation, I am disabling this cache and ask kindly that you do not find this cache during lockdown.
Remember there is more than physically finding a cache, there are plenty of puzzle caches you can do at home. Or if you live near a multi you can walk the trail and save the find for another day. For more info or connect with wider community see Geocaching New Zealand on Facebook.

LOL got this one sorted. cheers.
Friday 13. Balcultha to Gore and back. Another long day with Gore on the agenda. But got sidetracked with back to basics with the ABC series. So lets hit the road!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #532.
Quick find hiding in the rain from passersby with headz123 and co , tftc first to find for the new decade yay happy new year .
After doing the needed work around home we decided as this was the only free day for a long time leta go and try to pick some clues for the mystery at the museum, but where to start so out with the trusty magnifine glass and with a little detective work come up with s person of interest.
So we decided to go and see Bob as we believe he may have some need info. After we talk to Bob we are now on the right track to find the jewels .
So first we needed to grab this cache ????? with a bit of detective work we the right info and got what was needed
Still alot of detective work needed but each clue is a bit closer to solving the case. But we are getting very close not long now and I think we will have uncovered what is needed
Heading out of town in hot pursuit of the last bits of the puzzle. Here's another bit of the puzzle back to Bob to get the last bits needed now do we have enough to crack the case???? Thanks Bob
Looks like we have got the treasure in site and are closing in
Log book all good
Thanks for the hide

Had to do a few jobs around home, and then the mission was accepted to find clues for the mystery at the musuem challenge.
We figured the only chap that might have answers might be Bob, so we then decided to head this way.
Great way to check out the big smoke of Balclutha

Headed down south a beautiful still autumn afternoon south which was new territory for me with CO to help with her maintenance run while convalescing in the car. Great way to find caches and check they are all okay. TFTC Natalie247
Heading off on a random road trip, may end up at an event In Invercargill.
Thanks for this cache, Natalie247 - log all dry despite significant moisture in the containers.

I decided to tackle this series today - having decided a couple of weeks ago I was rather annoyed when I suffered an accident yesterday which hampered my efforts a little. Nevertheless, I managed all twenty-six today!
This one took me a touch longer as the cache appears to have suffered a bit of cache creep. Still, found in good nick otherwise. Cheers!

A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches down this way. A nice and easy find and on to the next one. TFTC
Thanks drove past this one on the way up this road so stopping on the way back to collect it.
Traveling down to Gore to my uncles memorial service so left early so I could cache on the way.

We found it after a long day at cross country was a nice distraction me and my daughter are loving this treasure hunt
On a road trip, chauffeured by Saethwr as she gets some more driving experience. This is a good run to get further on my quest to find the world turtle.
Convenient parking here, thought we might have trouble and have to catch it on the way home, but didn't. Wiped out the outer container.
Thanks for the smilie Natalie247.

Having a day out and picnic in the clutha area. Enjoying the winter sunshine. Again going to places never visited before. Thanks to all cache owners.
Found with Kiwinutter - hunting for more hidden creatures - this time in the dark!
Dakotacats and I decided to make a full day of caching in the area and one of our main targets was this A - Z series. We found all caches in this series and enjoyed the different roads and scenery along the way. TFTC
4Clubs and I spent an enjoyable day caching in the area. We found all 26 of the Blockbuster series, and we travelled on roads we have never travelled on before. Thanks for putting this series out Natalie, we had fun.
A quick find today while travelling through, this was the first in this series for us. We will enjoy trying to track all of these down over the next few weeks/months. TFTC [^]
Down South for a geocaching day trip with the main intention being A - Z please Bob. Started this series with A but then all order was lost! A fun series which was very much enjoyed. TFTC Natalie247 and the time and effort for this series which many of us feature in
Haven't been on a caching "dawn raid" for ages! Set off before sun-up to clean up the Blockbuster A-Z series. Early on Easter Monday proved an excellent time to do so as, away from SH1, there was just nobody around. On way home the traffic was heavy heading south out of Dunedin. Apparently some second-rate musician had done a few concerts over the weekend in town, which generated a few visitors. All 26 A-Z caches found, plus another at Kaihiku Falls. All the side-roads were pretty much new to me so that was a bonus. Apologies to the CO for the generic cut and paste logs for most of the series but when you're "speed-caching" the whole thing becomes a bit of a blur. Thoroughly enjoyable outing. TFTC.
First of the alphabet. Good challenge would be to get them all alphabetically. Tftc
Hoping my notes and memory coincide here - lots of lovely looking rolled hay rounds sitting in the paddock and hopefully no trucks will arrive to pick them up as I'm parked right in their way. In and out without incident. TFTC # 12,015
After a few days in Te Anau I've got the time to do these P and G's on the right hand side of the main road.
Another stop, another satisfying find, really enjoying being passenger and taking in the countryside.
Thanks

Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots. many thanks the cache - Bitsprayer
A quick easy find as we started off on this slightly different series. We replaced the cache on the ground, where we found it, as it didn't seem to wedge well into the hint location. TFTC
TFTC - time to grab a few new caches on my trip home from Dunedin - thanks for placing Natalie
