Family day packed with fun finds and lots of laughs. Unfortunately not here for us today.
While staying in Casino for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , we just had to get out and find a few caches in the area and surrounding towns ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Out caching with RoddyC , Hatzofff and Echocage1.
RoddyC had to do a maintenance run and the rest of us had caches to find. Quick find and log signed before replacing as found. Great scenery around this area. TFTC

TFTC. We are camped at Kyogle Showgrounds with our motorhome group for a birthday get together. We spotted this series along Collins Creek Road. With a couple of hours to spare this morning we headed out to explore this area. My first job in Melbourne was on Collins Street and we know the CO as well so it seemed appropriate to do this small series. We did not have any issues finding the caches although a couple of logs had got a bit wet.
After gathering the fergs over the weekend away the fab five enjoyed hunting a few trads puzzles Wherigo and multis to add to the collection. Some fab pub times , lots of laughs. My favourites of course were the cemetery caches!!! Tftc
Hard to see the ponds because of the lush grass that has sprung up with the recent good rains. Another smile for the trail.
I've seen enough water this trip that I don't need to bathe til the end of the year. Unlike Casino where the mozzies were rare, this spot bought us back to the Qld environment where mozzies reign supreme. A little search and a number of bites to everyone had the cache in hand. Thanks RoddyC for highlighting this line on the map.
Ponds like this bring the mosquitoes! And this pond did not fail to deliver... TFTC.
Another nice spot. The views along this road are pretty gorgeous especially with the rain making everything so green and lush! TFTC
Heading out to Kyogle today, as we are travelling this way with the caravan, and luckilymwe did, as there was not always enough room to get off the road.

We left the caravan at Rathdowney and took Running creek road heading south. Our aim was to collect caches and enjoy the drive and scenery. We haven't been this way before. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. The green of the countryside was so beautiful and the creeks running were so pretty and clear. The high grass caused us some grief when searching and a bit of time was attributed to removing cobbler pegs, pesky things that they are. We didn't realize we'd get as far as Kyogle but as we followed the caches we found ourselves getting closer. Went to town for a late lunch, fuel top up and purchased some lovely fresh fruit and veg from the fuel outlet. Thanks for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Thank you, RoddyC, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Thought I would do some more finds along Collins Creek Road today on a day off work. Love this road it’s such a pretty drive. Log was quite wet so may need replacing. TFTC.
For the month prior to my visit to Australia, I spent some time trying to solve some mystery caches around the Brisbane area. At one point I had to contact RoddyC for a question one one of his caches. We got chatting and he kindly invited me to join him on a maintenance run which we did today. This led to my most productive day caching so far.
Another amusing joke I must try to remember. No probs to find this one. Tftc and UTV

Found it and as I unscrewed it the zip tie broke. I have placed it in a nook within 10cm of original location. Next people who come looking if you could bring a zip tie that would be great.

Out today, trying to obtain all these clues for the ‘summer’ promo....
I’m now trying to gain all the last 35 caches, which is harder due to the distance I have cleared.
Nice drive, and good coords had CIH quickly.
Cheers

A quick find, sorry about the late log. Going through my GPS and found two caches I found last year that I still hadn't logged.
I used to live not far from Collins Creek, a beautiful spot indeed. Thanks, RoddyC!

Checked out our Northern NSW placements over this weekend. Happy to say most were in very good order - thank you fellow geocachers!
Out today on a weekend caching run in the area with RoddyC, Hatzofff & Snickersallan. Stopped here to find this cache. SL then returned as found.

I found myself going backwards and forwards on these dirt roads. Made a quick find here. A lovely pond. I think that I may have put 4/1 instead of 4/2 on the log. In fact I may have written this on three different caches before I realised that it is now February. Thanks RoddyC
Quick trip to town to grab a few things late in the day so grabbed a few caches along to make sure we got the last souvenir.

A nice trail on Collins Creek Road.

A few days around Kyogle district looking for caches. Always enjoy doing caches in the countryside compared to suburbia. Doing the caches along Collins Roads and nearby was most enjoyable bring us (that being cachers) to roads we would probably not decide to travel along. Thank you for placing these caches. TFTC Mr and Mrs RoddyC
Having a caching day along the roads just north of Kyogle - the cache placements certainly took us along roads less travelled and some amazing views were discovered. Cache with water views - prime real estate! TFTC.
I am still on my way home from the OZ Geomuster Mega event held at Morisset over the Easter week-end.
I arrived in Kyogle mid morning after staying the night about 30km and started finding all of these new caches up in the hills. I ended up finding them all, which makes for a good day. [^] The Lancer did good.
A short search before I found this one nicely tucked away. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

A quick find at the ponds today as we headed north up Collins road. A Shame we had a lousy weather day but it sure beats sitting at home.
Thanks

Spent the afternoon out and about with Stortigirls and Selva Girls collecting some smilies in this lovely area . TFTC Mr& mrs RoddyC

Our first thoughts when arriving at GZ was that this would be a perfect spot for a swim considering how hot and sweaty we were from the scorching summer day. But with geocaching business to take care of we decided to abandon any ideas of a dip and hunt down this cache instead. Seemed to work out inadvertently that we were taking turns finding the cache and this time I was the one to spot the hiding place and sign us into the log. TFTC
By this point in the day we'd been on the go for a while, and I was becoming concerned for my companions' health, as they both swore blind they witnessed a large mammal taking a refreshing swim in the nearby water feature.
No matter; GZ and the cache were quickly located using some stellar tracking techniques. TFTC

After an Australia Day event at Sheepstation Creek this morning with JeznDez and SeffnJarah, we completed a loop collecting these new caches. I have it on good authority that these ponds are where local exotic wildlife comes for a swim and water. Wildlife tracks led us through the longer grass on the roadside to this cache.
Many thanks RoddyC

We are glad you pointed out the ponds by placing the cache here. We enjoyed the drive to just a few of this string of caches before heading to town for some milk and back to camp for a late breakfast. Cache found and log signed. Cheers! Happy Australia Day!
