On a visit to our old home suburb, we needed a puzzle for 7 April towards a challenge back home in Christchurch, NZ. This one was easy enough to solve, and the final was indeed a quick park and grab - especially with the helpful parking instructions in the Geochecker. TFTC!
Walking along the river, Torrens from the Black Hills to Windsor Gardens.Taking a short detour to find this container, and maybe get some food.No problem solving the puzzle or finding the container. TFTC
A nice easy puzzle for me to solve then a quick drive-by tonight. Log stamped and all returned as found TFTC
TFTC! Night was the only time I thought I could possibly close the deal on such a busy final coords. Got traffic breaks this time but still had to wait for nearby busgoer to leave. :-/
Thanks Bob From Elsewhere for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #7591 on 17/11/2022 at 5:04 pm.
Cache in good condition, signed physically by myself and returned as found. Thanks

That's not a bad point of view. There were a couple of our indigenous friends vacating GZ as I approached and looking for a park. I think that they were resting and having a few drinks. By the time I had parked and got to said location of fair quality view the couple had moved down the path towards the river. After I signed one of the two was waving to me from down the track. Maybe he thought that I had found something of his or maybe he's a cacher as well. Dunno. Thanks Bob from Elsewhere for the hide.
Another adventure in the big smoke with Mattycat mainly northern and northeastern areas today , a great day and only one DNF and bonus lab adventure done, once more entering BFE territory one of many for the day, love a easier Bob puzzle a quick solve and we soon had our Point of View

I think I spent more time waiting for an appropriate moment to retrieve the cache than I did solving the puzzle! Reasonably quick and easy in the end though. TFTC Bob
Close to home, but not so close once solved. Thankfully an easy find when nearby for an appointment
2 bfe caches today and both times its been raining.
A busy little spot but my point of view is "just do it".

Found it! The only cache tried this weekend.
Due to the COVID-19, we did not go geocaching often. This Sunday, I got some spare time between two appointments, and I tried this cache as it's on the way.
Tried to solve it long time ago, but unsuccessful. It's only 1.5 star difficulty rating, almost the easiest one. But the number just not make sense. So I put it aside.
On 3 November 2020, I attended a geocache event, and mentioned this cache with another newly published cache which I think it's similar. I was given an important hint by Laighside Legends, that made me realised that I was totally misguided by the red herring. Then I got the right answer on the next day. 1.5 star difficulty indeed.
Parked on the other side of the road, walked to GZ, and found the cache in the only possible place.
Signed the logbook, and returned the cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, BFE.

Well this was definitely one of the easier BFE going around. Parked across the road and made my way over to GZ, the cache was found in the first place I looked and is all good.

Another Sunday with the JAMMS crew. We are still targetting BFE caches but we seem to get distracted from this mission and find so many others. A great day out working as a team to find and solve these challenging caches.
Thanks to Bob From Elsewhere from mogni

Out and about with the JAMMS group again ( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, Michells&hound and Sir_spectre ). We had a run down sheet of 50 caches to find and found about half a dozen extras with 5 dnfs. Most of the group visited caches they had found before at some stage of the day, so others could make the find. As usual i was the team navigator and Allister w was driving. A wide range of caches found today some with high d, some with high T free climbing or with the aid of different TOTT's but we did forget the UV torch. A fun day was had by all.
Found with Sir Spectre, mogni, JJ52, Michell&hound on a day driving around the area finding caches. A good day with great weather. TFTC BFE
Found during an afternoon of caching in the north-eastern suburbs after saving up some long ago solved puzzles in preparation for the tour. A little challenging with the retrieval but managed to make the find after the bank of traffic cleared from the intersection. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Bob from Elsewhere!
Out and about caching with locus cache and earthlight on Australia Day.
One of my geo-buddies had the solve and we found it.
Slowly chipping away at my unlogged finds... apologies for the late log.

Geopartner wanted to know what all those blue ? marks were on my geocaching map. Oh, they are mystery puzzles where you have to work something out. They are usually too hard. So I showed him one, and guess what managed to do it. Thanks to e.gregory I had a flash of what to do and the ? was soon a smilie on the way back from having my computer fixed. Thanx
SPOILER ALERT!!
There is a website (http://decodemoji.com) that is very useful for solving these types of puzzles. It decoded the emojis for me to provide the following:
"The hand puts on jeans for the flexed and high-protein evil creature and the round bear checks the time while sitting in a cab."
and
"The affirmative and spooky alien kills the flower blossom, but the dressed up and roundabout tool gets a call from the tour bus."
It was then just a matter of working out what it all meant and I had a solution that the checker agreed with in no time.
Thanks BFE for the puzzle and the cache.

Another nice day for a cache.
Certainly is a nice view from here. I saw right through it!
On a clear day you can see so many caches... or can you?
Cache was in mint condition.

Never let it be said that I am behind in my logging
I've been pretty well up to date for almost a year now [^]
Pretty well means that there was ONLY the small number of 29 cache finds sitting in GSAK from last year's Christmas / New Year's trip home that needed to be published
So today (27-12-2019) I'm taking care of this little matter and publishing them [^] so that I can reload the GPSr and maybe find a few more while I am here this year
After waking late [|)] and missing the morning Freddo event (it may have had something to do with finding a cache at about 3am on our way home from The Bay's fireworks), muggle partner, Rex and I headed out in crazy heat and found 17 caches as well as a $50 note blown up against a fence
We even found a house selling great [:X] cherries, tucked away in a backstreet in Highbury [:X]
My thanks to all the CO's [:X] (particularly the lovely BFE [:X] (Hmmm, I wonder what colour jocks he had on when he created these puzzles[?]) for a fun day out with many sights and sites seen and many memories recalled of my earlier years spent in the NE suburbs

Solving many Adelaide puzzle caches must be what a journey on the Titanic was like !
I set off to the solution smiling and waving,
the journey goes smoothly for a while ...
... then in the middle of the cruise,
I hit the proverbial iceberg and am left floundering without a lifeboat,
and with no obvious way to continue [:o]
So what went wrong on this caching epic ??
Nothing !! [:o][:o][:o]
I saw the iceberg !!
I had to pinch meself to make sure I wasn't dreaming,
and that the mythical green tick was indeed on the computer screen before me !!
So this morning,
I set sail on the pushbike to GZ.
I didn't hit anything,
the bike didn't break in two,
and I didn't fall off
Cache found at the base of the mast !!

I mis-read the note in the geochecker and spent 5 mins searching in the suggested parking area. I was just too keen to bag myself another BFE smiley.
It eventually dawned on me when I checked the geo checker.

First night out with Moneydork in quite a while, and it was a good one for caching, with the rain holding off and mild conditions ensuring we had a great time.
Moneydork had done the ground work on this one, I solved after the fact. Cache found in a very Bob like place.
This was find number 4 of 6 for the evening for me, TFTC Bob From Elsewhere!

From my point of view, we are definitely not getting out geocaching enough recently. We are not even getting much time to log our finds (so sorry for this extra late log BFE). Sometimes you need to look at BFE puzzles in a number of different ways before things align and you realise you have the Reel point of view. This one was no exception.
At GZ, I tried a bit of BFE-style searching, following a hunch as I waited for a bit of sat lock. Then I needed new batteries..... Just before giving up I heard the beep as the GPSr kicked in and realised it was over there. So I eventually got there, but it took way too long from my point of view.
Cheers BFE!

Well this was a Bob puzzle that was a pleasure and I didn't overthink it. In fact I nearly fell off the chair laughing when I solved it and got the green tick on geochecker. Into the TBF queue till the right moment.
Today we were out and about and was heading past so made a quick detour, park nearby, wander over to GZ and locate a cache. Sign and replace. All in between traffic muggles with stealth mode engaged. The Reel Point of view is that this was a reely enjoyable BFE cache.

Another BFE that had been on the to find list for some time but we had not been in the area for some time. A usual BFE hide and a need to tie shoelaces came in handy. Just needed to wait for a couple of muggles to wander by and clear our search area. Another BFE off the list. Thanks Sir B.
Muggles were the story of my life late this afternoon, starting with the reel point of view. Pulled over in a familiar area, walked to GZ and quickly grabbed the container between tranches of traffic. But the replacement exercise was much tougher with muggle intensity increasing. After about 10 mins an opportunity arose to whack the container back to its home. Phew! TFTC Bob
In preparation for next week’s Yurrebilla hike I decided on a reconnaissance trip to the Adelaide Hills today and to test my legs on a couple of short hikes.
I was also keen to finally re-enter a state of temporary Bobvana as it has been quite a while since that was achieved.
This cache was conveniently located en route, albeit the retrieval and replacement took quite a while with frequent traffic driving past from all directions.

That was easier than I was expecting. (I don't think I've ever said that on a BFE cache before!) I was a little worried Bob might have moved beyond ASCII when I first saw it...
And then a quick find at GZ today! GZ offers a very close up point of view of the Liberal candidate for Torrens at the moment...

After a successful trip to the badlands with Michells&hound last month we prepared for another visit and today was the day. [^] We had a new list of BFE puzzles that we had solved and at the end of another fun afternoon 14 were found.
This was one that I solved as soon as I looked at it...that doesn't happen very often. [^]
Michells&hound had already found the cache but we stopped here so I could find it too.
Well that took some time. Spotted the cache as I walked towards GZ, but there was also a muggle walking past so I had to wait for her...made a quick grab and signed the log trying to not look conspicuous...then just as I was about to replace it a bus pulls up with a long stream of cars behind...waited for them all to move on and then I could replace it...
Thanks for the puzzle and cache BFE.

Time for another Reel cache finding day with SA Sewer Rats. Another new one published since our last day means we needed to get her back to reel Nirvana for the second time this year and me a little closer. As usual there would be a few other caches to find along the way. [:o)]
Time to get Mrs. Rat back to what will surely only be temporary Reel Nirvana. [^] Pretty quick find this one as it was lying on the ground. Perhaps it is just a bit of CITO. Mrs. rat recovered it and upon opening, - nope, log book inside. Reel Nirvana achieved. replaced and magnet worked just fine. Go figure. [8)]

A rare low difficulty BFE cache, or so we thought We learnt much about emojis, as our knowledge extends only to frownies and smileys, buy no matter how much we tried to translate our newfound knowledge into coordinates, we failed again and again. In desperation, we turned to other means of exploration and the answer stared us in our face At GZ, Saturday afternoon proved to be very busy and it took a good few minutes to grab and replace the cache, but we got there in the end. Bob !!! You are a tricker ! Fired up the washing machine (as I always do for Bob puzzles) and started looking for numbers and then saw something that jumped out in front of me. Now to find the time to go for a look.... PS Doctor Owl, I too jumped the gun and looked at the parking co-ordinates (lucky I hadnt fired up the car) Good One !

A new BFE cache. Second to solve. Well, that was easy. Just up the road too. And that's where Owl's problems started! The owlmobile was in the garage, blocked in by various airconditioning installer vehicles. Wake up Hawk and borrow the hawkmobile. Drive to GZ, being careful not to gain any speeding tickets. Odd, nothing likely at GZ. Not like BFE to get his coordinates wrong. Spread out. Come to the slow realisation that Owl had written down the parking coordinates and not the final. Search every likely BFE hide in the area. Head home. Fire up the computer, redo the puzzle and get a red tick. What? You dolt, putting in the listed coordinates doesn't work! Get correct coordinates. Drive back. Search correct location - the only BFE hide not searched in the first place! Finally claim *FTF* at 9.51 am. Head to the shops for milk to make celebratory coffee. Return hawkmobile intact, as promised. Any more FTFs today are someone else's problem!
