For todays caching mission we decided on gathering a few strays that we had somehow driven around. These are the caches that your teenage kid leaves in their school lunch box for a week, or the caches your primary school child has tucked down the back of the bed board because they were bits of cauliflower that they hated, for a month straight and could even sleep through the stink of rotting vegetable rather than eat them.
I’m not saying the actual cache is in anyway bad, it’s just sometimes you have those hides that are just off the beaten path by a tiny amount and get missed all the time.
I’m a bit of an anal clean freak and so having something sitting there out of place can really rock my boat. On time I found a pen on the floor and instead of picking it up I watched it for a week whilst all 3 kids and my wife walked passed it every day and no one stopped.
During that whole week I was the one looking at it everyday. Then when the pen was suddenly joined by a tissue, a water bottle, a pair of socks and and old piece of skanky toast on a plate I knew that I was the only one suffering. So for that reason we chased some caches that were sitting by themselves on our map that we had left alone for too long. tftc

Lots of wet and soggy treasures around the cache almost tricked us into thinking it was lost. The cache is safe and dry, signed the log.
I continued down the road from another great cache and pulled up close to GZ after spotting the hint. There are some interesting bits and bobs around the container. I found the nice dry log, signed and returned all as found. Thanks for this one Miss_Direction
On my way home from Mt Mee I took a detour to look for this cache… I found the decorations as mentioned by others, and like the last finder thought there was no log… but upon a closer, or should that be deeper inspection found the actual container…

Loving the trails around here. A quick ride by to find this cute cache and decorations.
Easy find after a fun day out exploring the bike trails. Fun cache to find too. TFTC.
Out with GeoNayfee for the afternoon collecting some valuable target caches and a few as we passed by. We started at Wamuran head up to D’Aguilar and then down to Mt. Mee. It was a late start to the day but we still got a few in for the day. I was sitting at home when I got a call from GeoNayfee hey I’m going to do a few caches want to come along, how can I say no.
This was the second for the day and a quick stop near GZ and a short walk and the cache was spotted. A nice array of rocks around the sight and a few nice little trinkets above the cache, no interest to us so we left them. Log signed and all replaced as found, off to the next one.
Thanks for placing the cache here for us all.

Out with Chamad for half the day today. It was a bit of a late start, but we still managed 16 finds.
The day started at Wamuran after catching up with Grannysmith1947 to grab a cache with her. Once we finished up Chamad and I were discussing where we should go next. He said he needed a few more caches towards the north to fill in his 360 from home, so that's when we decided to head towards D'Aguilar, Mount Mee and back down to Dayboro.
Most finds were pretty straight forward, some were a bit of a struggle, but that's part of the game. There was plenty of people around, which is to be expected at the moment as they've eased back on the restriction.
I've forgotten how beautiful this area is, I don't come this way very often, so it's great to be able to escape the city live and spend a few hours out in the country. The recent rain we had not long ago has really brought this area back to life, everything is so green and bursting with life. It was a great day to be outdoors today, plus it wasn't hot either, which is always welcome.

Also meant to write that there was a lonely little garden gnome sitting all alone, so we’ve taken him for a ride

Just reading previous logs and one of today which mentions the painted rocks. Oh dear, I don't even recall seeing any rocks!! I however did see the delightful guardian sitting on his throne but no rocks! Was a quick find here thank you.
An offer to head out of Brissy for an adventure and more caching today Violet the Tabby came along for the ride this weekend

The last time I came down this way was to buy strawberries during the strawberry crisis. The fields look so different now with the plants all gone and the farmers plowing the fields waiting for next season.
I found a place to pull Gerty over safely and quickly spotted my target. I love the guardian and the collection of painted rocks.
Log signed and cache returned safely.

Out for an afternoon drive in the Woodford/Wamuran area always having to venture a bit further from home for a bunch of unfound caches these days. Past some unwatered strawberry farms and we found the bush we were looking for.
Not many places to park nearby on the edge of the road, so I jumped out and J drove up to the next safe turnaround spot and came back for me - I'd found the cache by then so it was a nice quick find.
Cute painted rocks and guardian.

Mrs YOF and I received a request to look after our Grandson in Taigum from 1530 for a couple of hours so I hatched a plan to find 14 caches on the way down to Brisbane and go to areas I had not been to for awhile. We left Nanango at 0715 and our little dramatic trip started then unbeknownst to us. 6Klm from Nanango we noticed a wall of flashing red and blue lights and I said " another accident on this straight stretch of road". I turned around and headed to Yarraman via a short cut I knew but drove past that road and decided to go another way to this GZ. Got to Crows Nest and took a road I have not been on for at least twenty years.
Arrived at an "T" intersection Close to the GZ for the cache I was after and there was flashing red and blue lights again. The driver must have been speeding or something. Drove past this scene. On the way down it was decided to cache along the Mt Mee road to gather a few there I would have liked and the very last cache, you guessed it, was on a long winding down hill run into Beerwah and was on the wrong side of the road on a bend so just had to drive past it.
(The additional hint did mention on the Up Hill side of the road) Little did I know I would be back many hours later. Left Brisbane at 1915 for the return journey
Having a good day out with Mrs YOF and this was the next one on the list. Very good roads leading towards GZ and the dirt road to here is in very good condition. Parked at the side of the road and made the short walk to GZ. Quick find. Signed log and replaced where and how found. Love the Cache Guardian. Now to head to a Mysterious Girl. TFTC Miss_Direction.

Today I headed out to see if I could finish off the current souvenir hunt. Only 12 more to go for the World Turtle!
After lunch in Landsborough with T-Tech I headed back to Wamuran to finish off clearing out the caches here. I thought I'd end up on dirt roads again, but was pleasantly relieved to find my 2wd Honda Jazz had no troubles here, and I drove all the way to GZ. A quick find in the logical spot and I liked the little guardian. TFTC, Miss_Direction.

2008, Neil Diamond reached the top of the US Billboard album chart for the first time in his career with ‘Home Before Dark’ the 67-year-old's 29th studio album. His previous highest chart position was in 1973 when the soundtrack to the film Jonathan Livingston Seagull peaked at No.2. At the age of 67, Diamond became the oldest artist to have a US number one, the record was previously held by Bob Dylan in 2006 with ‘Modern Times’ released when he was 65.

Stortigirls and I were out collecting a few smileys. The GPSr in the geomobile had decided that there were roads where, in reality, they didn't exist. Back to navigating by our phones, stortigirls managed to take us via this cache. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Selva Girls Gps "Christian" (aka Mr Grey) took us the wrong way in to another cache, but happily our backtracking led us close to this cute little number and we were able to make a find. Tftc Miss_Direction
Our car is locked in at dealer's workshop (brakes recall), so we took the replacement car for a drive.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Just checking in on this cache dropped a TB and added some decoration to this hide while here.
A free afternoon gave me the opportunity to find some newer caches which have been recently published between Caboolture and Bellthorpe. Having visited here before to walk in the woods and find a cache hidden nearby, I knew this road well. Quick find, grabbed the TB to take south to the Mega.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache **Miss_Direction**, this makes #4820. Discover our TB

Once close to GZ I thought I would park and walk down the hill - purely for exercise. Dogs barking on the property across the road had me bolting back to my car (they were behind a fence) and driving down haha. Tftc
Just had time for a walk in the woods on the way home this morning.
It was nice and breezy here and I wonder if we are going to get a spot of rain.
After a quick wander in the cache was located and the log was signed.

An interesting drive down this way, passing quite the unusual letterbox at the beginning of the road, and wondering what it was from. As we headed around further down the road, my interest did peak at the nature walk at the bend, I'm sure it would be a nice adventure for another day.
But soon we were pulling up near GZ and instantly knew where to look, making our find here rather quickly.
Thanks for the cache Miss_Direction.

Spotted the "cachey" looking GZ from the car. Sure enough there was the container. 1MinnieMoo, wombles and myself left our scribble and then replaced as found. Dropped off a TB.

Didn't read the description before we started off and spent quite some time trying to find the right road to this one - we should have known because we recognized it once we got there!! All good with the cache. TFTC Miss_Direction
After returning home last night from a mad dash for some local newly published caches, we noticed there had been a few more that had been released earlier in the night but a little further from home We debated whether to go out again straight away but in the end we decided to see what the find status of the caches were when we woke in the morning
Well, Mrs Just a Trifle was still fast asleep when Mr Just a Trifle awoke, so he checked and saw that this cache remained unfound He quickly had some breakfast and headed off for another round of {FTF} hunting It didn't take very long to get to ground zero and with our name added to the log book, it was off to the next cache on the list [^]
