Out on the Geo-EUC filling in the calendar while in the city for work. Recommend pedalling the tracks if you can. I did 44k into the CBD from Epping, all on the trails. TFTC.
Nice easy find. With roadworks nearby the path from here seems closed. Thanks for the cache
A nice sunny Winter afternoon so we decided to head out for a walk and look for a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache VK3TV.

A great day out with Omegaman1971, Our trip last weekend got canceled due to the five day lock down so we were glad we could get out again this weekend, we had a great day out exploring new areas.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Thanks VK3TV for the cache.

This cache ended up being exactly where I thought it would be. A nice speedy find.

Oh, it's so good to be on the pedals again. I finally got around to getting a new handlebar bag, and shoes that fit, and today's sunshine was too tempting to let slip by. By the time I arrived back home, the sunlight was just a memory, and I'd covered over 45km of bike paths, the zigzag between the top end of Edgar's Rd and the newer parts of Epping's sprawl... and a number of ride-by Geocaches.
Next time, though, I'll remember to pack the extra thermal top for the temperature drop when the sun sets. The chill was definitely an incentive to keep the pace up.
Thanks, VK3TV... again, exactly where I hoped it was and quickly signed. I wish I was rugged up enough to continue down the creek, but those caches will have to wait. Time to hit the back streets of my old haunt to get down to the Ring Road trail.

Well I didn't go away anywhere for the long weekend and neither did OzHockeyChick. So today we went on a bike ride along a couple of trails and this was one of them.
After completing the aqueduct trail in Research/Eltham area we headed over here for another nice and not too hilly ride. It was a busy little trail along here today with the beautiful weather but it was handy having the bikes and a companion so we looked a lot less suspicious.
Explained to a muggle who was trying to make some phone calls what we were doing here so we could make the find and move on. Then we started chatting (a little too much) about annoying phone calls that was receiving. He seemed a little interested but I don't think we converted him.
Thanks VK3TV for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

With our respective caching buddies out of town or otherwise occupied this weekend, spiffy and I decided to team up, drag out the bikes and find a trail or two.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, VK3TV

TFTC VK3TV....out for a ride along the Darebin Creek trail while the weather is a bit cooler and snaffling some caches. Nice hide...had to be a bit sneaky with all the traffic...but got the prize.
Plenty of traffic here but that was not going to stop us. Found, signed and returned. Cache is in great condition. TFTC.
I wasn't intending on doing the caches on this side of Childs Road but after parking on Hawkes Drive and pulling out the GPS, I realised that I was only 40 metres or so from this cache. Too close not to try and find in my book! It was a nice quick find. I just had to time the extraction and return to avoid major traffic muggles. TFTC VK3TV
Out with xambo4u, we decided to walk along the Darebin Creek in Mill Park. We had a successful day with only one DNF.
Easy find. Thanks VK3TV

Out and about with echidna44 for another fun day of caching with only one DNF. Nice easy find here. Thanks for your series around here VK3TV
About to set off on the Darebin trail. Should have found this one quicker than I did.
18th find of the morning and another good hide in pretty much the obvious spot.
Thanks
Thanks
At first I didn't see this one at all.
After searching in various other places I returned to the initial ( = obvious) spot I'd look before and there it was.

TFTC VK3TV. Nice hide. Rain holding off but no more sunshine. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
Quick find, but it took longer to cross the road that find the cache.

It was now time for a walk and this was the first cache on our walk up the drain trail. Nice quick find, and we thought this was a good sign of things to come.
It was a long day of getting a number of caches in the area in out for a run attempting to get the 100 caches for the hidden creatures souvenir.

Non-stop traffic along the road as I approached with Shadow the geodog. She's not too keen on cars so I decided to go under the bridge to get to GZ. Fortunately an easy find meant we didn't spend long enough near the road for her to get upset - plus they weren't travelling very fast!

Its been a few weeks since TrailStevo and I have been able to escape out cache, but last night we managed to get out. Im trying to get at least 50 cache per month and here we are just over 1/2 way through June and im on zip! So we looked for a trail and/or area of congestion to rack up a few numbers but we wanted some exercise too. First up was the south side of the CSS series plus a few others along the way. I good variety of hides and some of our favorite (not) hanging in tree hides. After walking about 8km, and back to the car we headed across to nearer Mill Park/Epping for another brisk 7km collecting another handful of cache. I think we totaled around 20 cache, the dog had a ball! In fact the dog had a lie in today and only really seemed to wake up at around 3pm . TFTC VK3TV
After finding some of the CSS series. moved over to this area to pick up a few along Darebin creek. Gunks and myself did about 7kms of walking to boost our haul for June. TFTC

Back to find this cache which I couldn’t see last time!! A lot quieter on the roads this time so it made it easier to search. Soon found, log signed and returned safely to its hiding spot. Nice to have a smiley here now. TFTC
Very quiet here today, no muggles to be seen, and a quick find was made signed and returned in a minute, Thanks for the hide VK3TV, will get more of your caches when I can get over this way

It has been awhile since I've been able to do any caching, so I made the effort today to fill in some blanks around Epping and catch up on VK3TV hides.... Walked about 10 km today.

Found @7:50 on Mother’s Day. Easy this early on a Sunday to stick your arm in places between traffic. Nice view in the sunrise. TFTC!
Suscoe decided to spend this mid Autumn rainy and windy day up in the north of Melbourne collecting caches that we have noticed located here for a while now.
It was a strange day with sunshine, wind, raised dust and rain of all sorts including a fairly heavy down pour at lunch time.
We found 26 caches in total which was a nice number seeing as though our caching outings have been few and far between over the recent months.
Thanks to VK3TV for this hide. Our 18th find of the day.
A quick find and sign, boy those trucks sure roar by and the planes were heading to Tulla in big numbers too.

This was super hard to retrieve between cars, but loving all the caches popping up in this area tftc
In the area to drop something so I had time to find this one as I would be driving past.
Being Sunday I was able to park out the front of the school and walk down to GZ.
As I approached GZ I had an idea where it would be and in between a few cars passing by I was able to retrieve the cache.
I walked down a bit then sat down signed the log and waited for a few more cars to pass and I was able to replace the cache.
Another VK3TV cache done and dusted, I am slowly getting through all of these.
Thanks VK3TV TFTC.

Found this quickly, but even on a Public Holiday I had to time my retrieval between people driving and riding past. Had to re-hide in a sneaky way too. TFTC VK3TV.
Found this one with amaali, a great hide, thanks for this one VK3TV, I love the bike tracks we are so lucky to be able to ride without cars.

After performing my 'mum's taxi' duties this morning I had time to visit Epping again to find some more caches. I parked in Hawkes Drive, walked along the Hendersons Road Drain Trail and back along the Darebin Creek Trail. I was successful in finding five of the six caches that I searched for.
After safely crossing Child's Road the search for the cache was easy. It was found, signed and replaced without attracting undue attention.
Thank you VK3TV for this cache.

Second did not find today although it was right on school pickup so I felt pretty conspicuous searching too hard. Another cache I’ll come back for.
A lot of traffic this morning. But used a bit of stealth and all was good. TFTC.
The family wanted to stay in the cool of the house so I decided to take the bike out to the Epping area as I don't really get North too often.
The heat was not really a problem but there was a wicked Northerly that made some legs of the ride a bit more challenging than should be.
I had a good idea where this could be and I was correct. TFTC.

Found after zeroing in and checking around in between the muggle car traffic nearby. TFTC.
*FTF* finally I get a first placing on one of VK3TV’s caches, they’ve been published at all sorts of times and I never seem to be close enough to head out and grab one. Tonight was a battle in the traffic from Campbellfield through the bottleneck that is Epping and eventually to park around the corner from GZ to sneakily grab the cache whilst cars zoomed by. Thanks for the hide and the scratchy
