This was the last cache of the weekend for krcamber and I. We missed the turn because we talk too much, but we made it to GZ anyway.

We read previous logs and krcamber made the tricky find about 4m away. Nice!

Thanks for the cache, Miss_Direction Smile

Swearah and I are on our way home this morning and this one is a quick stop off the highway. Missing the turn because I wasn’t paying attention at all, luckily there was a second option! This hide was a great one, and reading past logs really helped here. Not sure I would have found it without those hints. Coords were slightly off too. Fave point for the effort here, a great hide! I had intended to stop at this geocache given the high Favourite Point (FP) count (71 FPs as of the time of my visit). I did a search at where I had GZ before expanding my search (too much initially), and then zeroed into the geocache. I am not sure if it was just the tree bounce, but I had the coordinates slightly out by 7-8 m, with my coordinates suggesting the cache at S 27° 02.735' E 152° 52.934'. A well-camouflaged hide worthy of a Favourite Point, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Miss_Direction for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

----------

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).

Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

Miss_Direction I found your cache Bye-Bye Highway on 29/11/2022, 12:25 pm. This is my find 4489 and find # 6 today. Came back after it was found after my DNF. This time I didn’t spend much time searching as I did a lot of searching before. Searched a different area and noticed something odd. Is it the cache , yes or no. Dismissed it at first but decided to check it out more thoroughly after thinking about it. Yep, it’s the cache, very sneaky and very well camouflaged. A favourite from me. Thanks for the cache, mate! Alyce and I dropped the kiddies off at school and made our way back home, but we remembered this cache we've neglected for a few months. We pass it every day and finally managed to drop by to have a look.

We struggled for a few minutes to locate anything that that looked cache related and had to be weary of a muggle filling up his truck nearby, but we were persistent and kept looking, than all of a sudden the guy filling up his truck wandered over and asked if we were looking for a thing that had a log in it, with a big smile we said yes and he asked if we needed some help, and we both replied with a yes and he pointed out the general area so we wandered on over and uncovered the sneaky hide soon after.

Unfortunately coords are out a bit, but this area would've been our next target.

Thanks for bringing us here today, and have a fav point, we enjoyed the hide.

A lovely day to be out walking the dog, and finding a cache which I did not come over the busy highway to find back in December, so today, I parked off the bust road, with lots of roadworks, and made a very well made cache hide a yellow smile, a favourite point for construction, and Thanks Miss Direction, for the hide, which is in good condition, I notice that previous finder is my Son and granddaughters, two months back, this hobby does run in my family, my daughter also geocaches

Both kids out at work today at the same time! An opportunity to go for some exercise with Mrs FNG (Walk along the Wamuram rail trail).
Cache 8 for the day.
Moved the car again. I have been here once before with no luck,
Obviously having an extra set of eyes makes a difference.
Located it eventually after some phone bounce.
Loved this hide!
In very good condition - thanks for the cache!

ruzzelz Rides S3 - Cache the Caboolture Wamuran Rail Trail

The Caboolture to Wamuran Rail Trail showcases the history of the Caboolture to Kilcoy railway corridor, which has been closed since 1964, and provide a shared pathway from Caboolture to Wamuran.

A great roll out of people on a range of bike types including one or two that really could do with a bit of lube on the drive train. An early start meant the weather was cool and we avoided the rain showers until the end of the ride.

Coffee and cakes during a bike ride is a mandatory obligations and there were no objections when the local bakery in Wamuran was suggested as the first non geocache stop. A few hardy types even rose to the occasion and took a second caffeine hit on the return to Caboolture.

Thanks to the CO’s for placing caches and a big thanks to all the will riders who turned up for ruzzelz Rides S3.

PS - Production ruzzelz Rides Season 4 has been delayed due to the 2022 Flood even. Once things dry out the next episodes will be screened.

Joined a great group of cachers for a very enjoyable morning of cycling & caching along the rail trail & around Caboolture. Logs were signed as RR3 for Ruzzelz Ride 3, thanks to Russel for organising & the CO's for the hides.
We crossed over the road to reach this one & it was by far our longest search of the day but Beardman75 eventually found the sneaky hide.
Thanks for the cache Miss_Direction

Bye-Bye Highway
D 2.5 T 1.0 Small Traditional Cache

Lovely day for a 20k - 2 hour bike ride with RR3 (or Ruzzelz Ride #3). Totally amazed with how nice this bike trail is. Very well maintained and lots of users too. Equally amazing was the company, lots of fun and laughs. I fell twice. Doesn't matter, it wouldn't be a bike ride if I don't . Getting on and off, and turning left or right are not my forte . Need to ride more and adjust my seat again or maybe will get one of those e-bikes?

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Miss_Direction. Enjoyed the adventure. Slight detour from the trail to access the cache.

Day 15 of our Beachmere housesit.

Today, we were going on the Ferryman Cruise on the Pumistone Passage, but at the last minute, due to bad weather, it was cancelled. So, instead, muggle sister suggested a drive in the country. Of course, that meant finding a cache or ten.

The route we took from Caboolture, via Diagular to Mt Mee and Dayboro, before returning via Petrie.....

Saying Bye Bye to the lowlands, we stopped by for this cache, which came a heap of favourite points. We checked the nearby tree, which was not at GZ, we searched another which was even further away. Then another spot. Eventually, we crossed the road. By this time muggle sister had joined the search. I watched muggle sister staring at a partiular spot for at least 45 seconds before moving on to stare aimlessly elsewhere. Thirteen metres out, but I checked out where muggle sister had been stairing. Sure enough, she had stared at it, but not recognised it a a hide....

Just as we signed the cache, caller from accross the road called out "yay" . Not sure if he is related to Miss Direction, but he certainly knew we were there, and what we were looking for.

Thank Miss Direction for a well cammoed cache. You have earned another favourite point.

The girls and I had a work breakfast meetup at the pit stop café on Mt. Mee rd. After the event I said, girls I need one cache for the day and I have some fun ones for you to see. A little drive and I was at some caches I did yesterday. The excitement was too much and the caching bug had hit them. Let’s go and find some more we can swap at. So off we went, a search of nearby larger caches was started.

Now this one is not a large cache but it was a fun one to do and with a large number of favourite points we had to see why. We pulled up and the coordinates had as near a tree, hmmm. A look around and something was a little different. I wondered over and starting a better investigation, sure enough it was the hide. Maddie was very impressed, yet could not figure out why someone would hide that in there, I laughed and then explained.

Yes a worthy favourite point here, with log signed and cache replaced as found we were off, still looking for that swaps cache.

Up at stupid o'clock so I could get to Woodford Golf Club for a 6am tee off (it certainly wasn't my idea). Struggled all morning and lost far too many balls, so on the way home (for a cuppa then a nice snooze) I stopped to pick up a cache or two as I'm not up in this part of the world too often.

A very nice well disguised container.

Now to try and avoid the queues of traffic to get home.

Thanks!!

On my way home from Dayboro and Mount Mee this is my last find for the day... and it wasn't until I had stopped that I saw the number of Fave Points sitting here...

I will admit I looked at the tree and thought "What the????".... While making my way round the tree I was joined by a Maltese Terrier from the neighboring property... that's not good... so I picked him/her up and returned him/her to their mate behind the fence and returned to Renaldo... That's when I spotted the cache... nice urban camo... and appreciated the attention to detail.... Well worth another fave point.... TFTC....

Spending my day caching on the Northside of Brisbane and this one had me tricked for a while. A young guy on a motor bike (lived in one of the houses close by) came up to me and wanted to know what I had lost so I explained the game to home. He noticed my leg was covered in blood and was a bit concerned about it but I told home I had a fight with some lantana a little time earlier and my sock and shoe were also well bloodied but I was ok. After he left I checked out another spot that I had looked a few minutes previously but this time I checked it a bit better and was soon signing the log. Replaced all as found. Excellent cache. All hides were found relatively easy and apart from a few wet logbooks that we changed where we could, caches were in good condition.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.

Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

Sunday. Pulling up to GZ, we thought we were right on the money straight off, but since it was a very cloudy day, my phone arrow went off! So whilst Mr SP was keeping an eye on the nosy lady across the road who was watching us, I looked and knew where GZ would be (which was near to where we parked), and Mr SP drove the car just a bit further along so that the car was keeping us safe from prying eyes. I quickly signed the log and Mr SP pretended to get something out of the car. Fantastic cache container idea. Awarding a FP to this one for ingenuity! I also loved how the cache made good use of some local camo that looks like it belonged to that spot as well.

This was the 7th of 10 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Miss_Direction*** for showing us this place Razz

A well constructed cache container that did not cause us any grief except, according to our GPS the co-ords were out by approx 10 meters and had us looking on the incorrect side of the road, which then caused a nearby dog to start barking, it did not seem to want to bark at us once we weere on the correct side of the road. Lots of publishing around Wamuran yesterday and surprisingly when I woke this morning, none of the new caches had been found. With little planned for the morning, I decided to head north. Firstly, a coffee and a quick run over the puzzles, solving what I could.

Having grabbed some first to finds around Wamuran and Bracalba, I was heading back through Caboolture to Elimbah to test my luck with a few more. With all the favourite points this cache has accumulated, I said bye bye to the Highway and stopped.

A water truck was just finishing filling when I arrived and soon I had GZ to myself. A nice quick find of a well constructed container. Have another crooked favourite point for your collection here. Pink is my first colour choice by the way. Many thanks Miss Direction

Today, we decided to head to Esk to attend a Creation Celebration Event as part of the Creation Carnival promotion by Geocaching HQ and collect a few souvenirs while we were at it.

Our GPSr wasn't being very co-operative and had us wandering in circles initially. It didn't take too long though using our geo-sense and we soon located this cleverly constructed cache. With our name added to the log book, we continued on our way Cool

Thank you Miss_Direction for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Big Grin A favourite point for the clever cache construction.

Today was a work trip from Brisbane to Kingaroy for some work meetings and back again. We had a free day so a drive and a day of geocaching was in order . I had on my list of caches to do the “llama drama” Cache from a post on Facebook, because I just love those 4 legged creatures . We were on the gateway fanging it North when the first of today’s torrential down pours started ️ . My mum had a saying though, “if it rains, we will wear a raincoat and get on with it!” So onwards we head! ️

I found a safe place to park this time and saw a curious site in a tree (pic attached lol ). I then turned my energy to the cache and thought what about... and found it straight away. Booyah!

Awesome find just off the highway. Tftc
