Another suburb taken care of. No log in the cache. It requires a specialized log. I will notify the CO. TFTC
With original plans to head up Mount Majura, I heard those magic words from the Geo-Mum, "I feel like going to a café". This is great because it allows me to go way further afield as I can get Mum to drive out a bit further than normal!
So I wanted to go to Evatt because of a particular multi however the plans holted (get it?) and we were going to Holt instead which was a bit annoying because there was not a lot of caches where the café was.
However I was dropped off at Holt shops and did this loop on the bike and then slowly made my way back to the the café. I had a time limit which did limit a couple of things however I managed to still make it back without going too crazy. Then after than a stop at Belconnen to do some shopping and get a special cache because it had a rare attribute...
TOTAL FINDS FOR TODAY: 13
THIS CACHE: A quick find here, the sign is cool, I like it. The cache is all safe and well. TFTC Mr Windy!!

What an adventure. Found it, and had a great time.
The robot clicked disapprovingly, gurgled briefly inside its cubical interior and extruded a pony glass of brownish liquid. "Sir, you will undoubtedly end up in a drunkard's grave, dead of hepatic cirrhosis," it informed me virtuously as it returned my ID card. I glared as I pushed the glass across the table.
He heard the loud impact before he ever saw the result. It had been so loud that it had actually made him jump back in his seat. As soon as he recovered from the surprise, he saw the crack in the windshield. It seemed to be an analogy of the current condition of his life.
She asked the question even though she didn't really want to hear the answer. It was a no-win situation since she already knew. If he told the truth, she'd get confirmation of her worst fears. If he lied, she'd know that he wasn't who she thought he was which would be almost as bad. Yet she asked the question anyway and waited for his answer.
Spending time at national parks can be an exciting adventure, but this wasn't the type of excitement she was hoping to experience. As she contemplated the situation she found herself in, she knew she'd gotten herself in a little more than she bargained for. It wasn't often that she found herself in a tree staring down at a pack of wolves that were looking to make her their next meal.
Having already had a DNF here I was really frustrated at again not being able to lay my hands on this little blighter. I used a PAF while I grabbed a nearby cache for my required cache for my streak. Luckily I was given a hint that helped me find this nasty little fellow. I had a very different interpretation of my previous hint which explains why I couldn't find him before. TFTC Mr Windy SL
A quick find on a cold day. Signed dsd, thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Had to wait for a man whipper snippering the lawn nearby to move away. Nice easy find. Note only a few places left in the log
I'm the area today so decided to rectify a dnf from last August.
Quick find today, but only three spaces left in the log.
TFTC, Mr. Windy

A quick trip to Holt, so I decided to grab this one today. Arrived at a decent time in the afternoon for not too much muggle activity, but still had to keep my discretion. TFTC a nice hide.
Went for a walk with the Geo Dog today and confirmed the cache is still there. Cache on.
A big fat DNF for me today. There isn't even a hiding spot that fits with the hint. I may come back one day as it isn't far from home, but I will wait until the CO has checked it out.
Spent the morning finding caches around the northern side of town. This one found without issue right on GZ, although the container was unexpected for this location (though effective). Thanks Mr Windy.
Finally located this one... Didnt realise it was disabled but TaytoTaffy and I were able to redeem our last 3 attempts. Tftc
The lure of a CITO today was push enough for fitzy_1965 and I to head back into Canberra for more caches. And what a glorious day to be out caching!
After the CITO we cached our way around North-West Canberra.
I was muggled out a bit earlier so had to leave it and come back. Given the hint, I thought it would be a quick find but unfortunately not. fitzy eventually came to help and found it on the ground. Have put it back according to the hint.

A busy day but managed to pick up this cache. Hubby grew up in Holt and knows these shops well. Great to be out checking out my new local area.
Condition Report:. Good and dry
Log Status:. Nice new log roll
Thanks for hiding this cache Mr Windy

My final unfound cache in Holt - and after a bit of a search it sadly remains unfound. Very specific hint, but no joy for me today. CO check required I think .
Thanks anyway Mr Windy

Very quiet at the shops today and no around the GZ area .
Thanks to Mr Windy for the cache hide.

Found on Remembrance Day. Didn't even realise these shops were here - as you say, it unfortunately shows th demise of small suburban shopping centres. A quick find at GZ - nicely hidden. TFTC Mr Windy!
With Travelgran today and she found this one. Did not know there were shops on Holt. Thank you for bringing us here and for the cache.
Today was a pleasant sunny day and perfect for a 'top down' trip across Belconnen picking up some the of the new caches placed since my last trip, as well as some of the puzzles that have finally been solved.
All caches found without too much fuss, being on the coordinates. I was surprised at the age of some of them.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache

Out grabbing some caches with the FFLL ladies collecting some of the caches with clues. Sun was out but so were the winds. Signed and replaced, thanks Mr Windy
Out on a balmy day collecting smilies for the new detective adventure.
Quick park and grab at this one.
Thanks for the hide Mr Windy

Out for the day on northside, quick find and placed back where it belongs TFTC Mr Windy
Checked on cache. Replaced log (and container) as it was almost full and had been wet.
Not a lot of action around here and a nice, easy find. Log has obviously been very wet at some time but is usable.
Goodness, I never knew there were Holt Shops, thank you for bringing me to a new area for me, guess the shops looked a little sad, but did have interesting sculpture figures, cache found easily. tftc.
Another great day out with woolwood9 hunting containers today.

Busy busy busy. I’ve done no logging for another two weeks. Now I’m nearly four weeks behind with my logging, less the eight days I logged last night. I'm not having any trouble finding caches, though. I am doing my usual activities with my lady and her kids, I'm also starting a program of cleaning and tidying my house, including disposing of lots of old possessions. I'm also helping some mates move stuff between houses, which is taking me all over the place, and which is giving me caching opportunities. I’m only doing logging now because yesterday’s cache needs maintenance …
I've dropped off the load of stuff I picked up yesterday, and I have a small load heading the other way, ie south. Today is a much nicer day than yesterday. I’m up for a quick park and grab, which this one delivered on, for day 250 of my current streak. My target is 366 for a couple of challenge caches. I’m short of time, as I need to take my lady to have her broken arm reviewed. I pulled up beside this one, and found it quickly and easily.
Thanks for this one Mr Windy.

It's a nice morning so I decided to get out and get some fresh air and find some caches. TFTC
Found on a hot day in the Nations Capital after a visit to the Beconnen makets with my dad.

Out and about before the real heat set in decided on a run out around the old stomping ground. Had no problems with any of the caches and all were found without issue.
Thanks for this one, and for showing me my old suburb.

The shops seemed pretty dead at 1pm on a Tuesday! Managed to park within a couple of metres from the cache itself, so jumped out and made a quick find and sign before jumping back into the car and heading off again!
A good little hide, and a container I have seen a couple times but isn't overly popular!
Thanks

Very quiet down here this morning and was able to make a quick find. TFTC Mr Windy
A super helpful easy find on a creepy evening on canberra. Sprung by ghouls and witches, princesses and zombies. I had to pause awhile with cache in hand! Finally a gap in the hoardes allowed me to sneak it back. Tftc! And happy Halloween
Today my mum moved into an aged care facility here in Canberra. A huge thing for both of us but she was very excited by it and the staff were very welcoming. After such a busy and full day, I realised I still needed to get a daily cache (day #142). Oh no! I tried another cache nearby but I couldn't find it so I fell back to this one, hoping for a quick park and grab. Thankfully, it was quick and easy. Just what I needed. Now I can go home and go to bed. TFTC
I've been past here many times, but I think its the first time I've stopped at the shops. Cache found quickly and all OK. It is a bit obvious where it is, so you may want to check and hide it a bit better.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Quick drive by pickup after visiting in-laws. We didn't know that there were shops in this location. Well done on your first hide Mr Windy. Worth a favourite point. TFTC Mr Windy.

I've got a few geocaching goals this year one is to clear out my 10km radius. This is one of those. It might be less than 10km from home, but it is about a 35km drive to get here! So finding myself with half a day to spare and an event to go to in Belconnen I decided today was they day to clear some out.
Thanks Mr Windy

Had today off to do some running around and saw this one as it was just around the corner of a friend I was going to visit and thought yep got to get it as I only need 4 more finds to earn the last hidden creature souvenir. I also had to get some milk and nibblies so perfect pulled into carpark, got the snacks and off to the tree and saw the likely spot for a hide and there it was. There were a couple of kids playing in front yard so took back to car to sign log then pull over so they couldn't see me put it back. Tftc Mr Windy
F(H)ound it! #2679 @ 12:35 AM
Good park and grab. Very quiet around here on a cold and windy day.
There was a muggle in the bus stop across the road who may have wondered why I was so intent on photographing the Ridgeo-pup at GZ. Once she was gone I grabbed signed and returned.
Thanks for the cache, Mr Windy
