We arrived in town on our caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. We got the bikes out and went for a ride before our boat trip. We first found a few random coins on the floor and then the cache. Thanks for the cache
Found with Symonds6 while in Goolwa for a week. Lovely time away finding a few caches with wonderful friends. Signed log as GTS6
Spotted whales at Goolwa and on the way to see seals at the barrage.Took a bit of time to get it. Contortionist skills on display DunWorking, I found HIDE AND SEEK MkII today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in beautiful Port Elliot for a few days to cache the area. Heading to Goolwa on a cold blustery day. Thanks for the find. LCNU
Cute little bird hide! Not too much happening with the birds as it was the wrong time of day, but that meant the hut was empty for our search!
Did a Maintenance Check on our Caches Today. This one was missing so we replaced the Cache and now, "All Good To Go", ready for the next Finder.
Still staying in Adelaide picking up some more gems as we go. Venturing to Victor Harbour.Sad but no smile today.Caching with 6 for QLD including RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda Snickersallan patrol14 and grannysmith1947.TFTCache DunWorking - previously Sandalwood Cottage
Searched for a while without success. Sat and watched the swans and ducks for a while. Searched again and was successful!TFTC
We were here way longer than we needed to be, it is a pretty cool bird hide though and we had plenty of privacy to search, and search, and search again. Once ya know where it is, well just saying we definitely took longer to find it than needed. Its lovely to see these bird hides dotted along the rivers, such a non invasive way to observe some interesting birdlife. We haven't played hide and seek for years but that's an enjoyable game also. Thanks DunWorking for the cache, found it eventually, signed it and replaced it in its spot.
Caravan trip away to Victor Harbor, Deep Creek and surrounds.
Arrived late afternoon for some birdwatching. Ol found it on the second trip around... after Wal had already looked there ??

Staying in Goolwa for a couple of days, out doing some early evening caches, good time to arrive at the hide, after a through search had cache in hand. TFTC
Second time looking. First time searched for ages with no luck. Decided to try again but not at all hopeful. Found it after a couple of minutes and had one of those, “can’t believe I didn’t find it last time’ moments. Thanks
Took off to see some river views and a little southern countryside with Purrfect Di and Sebastbat.
Found this spot, noted the wheelchair accessible and T1 attributes. Thought should be easy.
Wow the reeds are growing well here!!
Turned out there was no way we'd reach that from a wheelchair - but a quick find once we looked up [:o)]
Some cute frogs watched on. [^]
Our appreciation to Sandalwood Cottage for placing and maintaining this cache on our ever expanding SA geo-map

Exploring allover wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!
*Almost all the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
C'est Fini.

This morning we set out in Goolwa for a early morning valentines walk along the water front.
We stopped by this cache on our walk, no body around so made the searching easier, the cache took some time but found it nicely hidden in the end

Good to see that the bird hide is back in good repair after recent vandalism....and the cache is in good condition and a nice hide. Black Swans are leisurely swimming around as I fill out the log. TFTC Sandlewood Cottage....hope to find some more as we check out the local area.
Nice find. Nice place. Carefully removed cache are replaced Moved cache less than 5m . Myd Birds nest made around the cache. All still in one piece
Bit of a scramble and it was found with Tigtog08 - beautiful view but not too many birds today. Tftc
Today I was finally Well enough to go and do Maintenance on my Caches. Luckily this one had not been stolen (most of ours have been lately - someone is out causing mischief - even the seats in the Birdhide have been smashed and trashed - Idiots!!!!!) This Cache though was still safely hidden in it's hidey spot so is all good and ready to go.
We like birds! TFTC. We walked past here yesterday on the Coastrek walk. Nice to come back.
With today's weather forecast to be pretty good compared to yesterday we decided to head on out. Weather was okay but pretty choppy still out on the water. Surfers loved it! We managed to grab a few caches out and about.

Out for a sightseeing day with newbie cacher The Skaffies. Of course, sightseeing always involves caching along the way.
I was sure we'de found a cache here previously, then the penny dropped with the "MkII" .
RoadieR and SkaffieK had a bit of trouble spotting this one, whilst I sat bemusedly while they muddled around. They finally had it in hand with a few hints.
Only some welcome swallows and a cormorant to be seen at the hide today.
Thanks for the cache Sandalwood Cottage.

A tricky hide as the view through the window is distracting
