Great find! Such a sneaky find! Unfortunately didn't have tweezers on us and couldn't get log book out of container. Tftc
Think this one may have gotten away. Husband found a peice of the container nailed to the location. The rest was missing
After a couple of DNF trips, I finally wised up and brought a PF along. He watched amusedly as I fumbled around, then told me to look in a different spot. TFTC.
2nd week of the school holidays.
Neither long boots nor incoming tide would stop me. Yup up to my knees! Lucky it is as beyoootiful day today!
Thanks for bringing us here Found with downsouthinv ( who still has dry tootsies)

It's a beautiful day so let's go.
Tha ships navigator said to dock here so We droped anchor and all went a shore well yup you will see .
So Annielin was a little at sea and not adrift to nab this one .
We soon had the log all sorted.
We wheigh anchor and headed off.
Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!

Whew! Thankfully low tide today otherwise there was no way I was going to attempt this. In the end, a quick find. Took maybe a minute. Cunning hide too, but a sensible option. TFTC Shorty1766, nice to pick off one that has foiled a few people recently.
Today’s big plan was to go to the Mapua Easter Fair.
We did that successfully, along with half the rest of the planet it seemed. RG1972 bought a couple of things but there was not much that interested me. Still, we had a good time.
Since the weather was great we then decided to head to Motueka. This is where the caching part started. We got a few on the way into town, had a great lunch at Toad Hall, then went on some short walks around town. Bumped into Kiwimykl for the second time today then eventually made our way home through the inland road. That was pretty much the day. Thanks all COs.

Made it to the Mapua Easter Fair this year, I do love this fair although every time I go it gets busier & busier. Found some beautiful pottery bargains so I was happy!
We headed into Motueka for the afternoon & to enjoy the sunny weather, stunning day!
This was the start of Ricardinho's caching adventure

I hadn't noticed the recent DNFs before I started looking for this one but I did find what I believe it was attached to. CO might wanna checkup on this one.
Well, I went as far as I was prepared to without getting covered in mud.. but no luck
Not very good, better than that! A beaut hide, perfect, thought we would be stumped and still there at high tide but no, nailed, all dry and happy....as was the cache, thanks, well worth a favourite.
SJT_NZ and I had made several stops at this spot as it's pretty close to home but always left with a need to go back again. We knew it was a clever hide given the number of favourite points, today we were successful and it had been an area we'd looked at before that had caught our eye. This time is was smilie time. Thanks Shorty1766 for a fantastic hide, all in good order.
Glad to have this one sorted. We had a good idea of what we were likely to be looking for, and it turns out we were right - last time we simply didn't use enough oomph. Today we looked again and made the same observations as last time but gave it a bit more force and were rewarded. All in good order - thanks Shorty1766 for a well constructed cache.
Last dot day of the year we are well on our way. Had us fooled to start till
we spotted something. Then presto a smiley heading our way. TFTC . like this hide .

A quick find for a dot day nice to be out in the sunshine after work to grab this one as we both worked on our day off but both finished in the daytime lol Thanks for the cache - a novel idea for a cache
Found during our Christmas and New Year vacation roadtrip around New Zealand.
We are staying in a house 200m away for the christmas

Found it, no wet feet here today. Despite position log dry. Gets a fave from us TFTC
We have driven past this cache several times on our way further afield but today is all about finding caches in and round Motueka/Moutere area.
Luckily the tide was out although Hazedarus did have gumboots in the car which he changed in to. I managed to get to GZ without getting wet feet but let him sign the log with just our initials as we do on small log.
Thank you Shorty1766.

There was a time that we had the area pretty much cached out and made the trip to find one new placement a bit long. Then there came a point that the wrong colour on the Tasman/Mot map started to deviate a bit much from yellow. The approximate ratio of cache finds to distance travelled to enjoying a beautiful sunny day couldn't be ignored anymore. The newest placement was chosen as a starting point and we took it from there. We made a few finds and were in the groove. I was prepared with the appropriate foot ware in the boot. Although the tide was out I still changed and slopped to GZ proper. For some reason something looked wrong at the first place I looked and the rest is history. Nice container and great hide. A fav. Thank you Shorty1766
Arrived at GZ with Ulmuslynx we searched around decided to check the photo to make sure we had the right place.
Noticed something.......... and there it was
Very clever hide

A second attempt for this one and arecently posted spoiler photo was enough to gibve me enough of a clue to make a find. Nice camo here and worthy of a precious FP, nice effort here. T F T C Shorty1766
I've had a busy couple of weeks at work and was originally supposed to be working today, but with a couple of other things looming on the horizon I asked if I could have the day off before starting back on night shift tomorrow night, and yes was the answer. So, with mrs capperz supposedly at work this morning on the early shift I also got up and underway and was on the road from home at around 0615, with a full days caching ahead, culminating with the event near Mapua at (I thought 1500, it was actually 1400 - oops, made it in time though).
With thick fog all the way through from Wairau river bridge to the Whangamoa saddle it was steady driving to get me into Nelson just after 8, and a full day saw me back at home for 1845 after a catch up at The power of 3 cache with Ricardinho, the Seagnoid, TB Dragon and Jojo. A successful day was had with some park n grabs out Central Road way, a couple of previous DNFs conversted to smilies (and a couple of new DNFs to add to the list!) and a few points towards the latest souvenir scramble. Thanks to all COs for their hides, specific stories where I remember.

at the first time i was sure i have the right object, but i can’t find something. than i read the activities and try it again. now i don’t look at the feet and look for something special. i was so happy, very good, beautiful hide. so much work!
Found this one the other day and somehow missed logging it. So here I am, logging it today.
Great cache and love the amount of thought put into hiding it. Very lucky that one member of the tonyflew crew was looking in the right place otherwise I don't think we would've found it. TFTC!

We came out a couple of days ago to grab this cache but ended up abandoning the search due to some muggles in a broken down car across the road. Today we came back and the way was clear for a good search. We found the cache fairly quickly, signed the log and left everything as found. No wet feet for us. tftc
Timed my visit perfectly. Found after a short search. Nicely done. Cheers and TFTC
We looked at the tide times and put gumboots in the car this time before heading away. After we had quick finds on the other 2 caches on the plan for this drive, we headed for this cache and found a suitable park. We could have managed without gumboots, but they did mean we could focus on looking at the item that was not adrift rather then at our feet. Mrs SoBad was checking another spot, when Sobad made the find. We had allowed for a long search so were happy it was a short one - especially as someone arrived just as we were leaving and so we didn't have to explain what we were doing. A very nice hide so it gets a favourite point as well - luckily we have a lot as all three caches today are getting one. We stopped for celebratory icecreams on the way home.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We saw this on the GPS and stopped for a look. As it had appeared when we were away we had forgotten that it needed some forethought. We will be back at a better time better prepared.
It has taken a couple of visits to find this cache but thanks to a previous finders nudge the elusive beast was found and log signed. That was an all together tricky hide even though I had a good idea of what I was looking for. Worth a Favourite thanks Shorty1766.
Wow (& OMG) That was a tough hide.
With the grandchildren in town we headed to Ruby Bay for a fire on the beach and some toasted marshmallows - yum.
After that we headed to this hide. Missy B in her jandals had no trouble with the mud and then climbed upon and searched from there. Ms M and I were smart enough to pack the Wellies and we needed them.
I had already done the PAF call before leaving home, having read all the logs, and knew just where it was - yeah right.
We searched and searched and then Ms M went back onto the mobile and was "talked down" to the hide. Very clever Missy B grabbed the container and handed me the log to sign. She was pretty imprssed with the hide too.
TFTC Have an FP.

Dam, came well prepared with gumboots and circumnavigated the object too many times to mention before giving up. I knew this was going to be tricky and so really took my time, but like the two prior cachers it wasn't to be. Perhaps worth a check?
Today we were out kayaking around Jacketts Island and the inlet, we got to within a couple of hundred meters and I did consider making a slight detour. I'm pleased I didnt as it was full tide at the time although I was wearing wet kayaking gear but more importantly I would have looked pretty silly crossing the road in all of that gear. Picking up a few caches on the way home, it took a number of circumnavigations around the item before I sudden spotted something. That is a very clever hide and worthy of a favourite. Thanks Shorty1766

Out this way doing some maintenance on a couple of caches today so decided to stop off here for a look at his cache. I knew it was going to be a clever and/or tricky hide by the COs other hides and the logs. Wasn't wearing quite the right footwear so grateful for my predecessors and their path building - added another for good measure. Stood still and observed intently up and down till I spotted what could be likely - and so it was. Excellent hide Shorty1766. I am another one that found the one at the school then found I wasn't able to log as it had been locked - only ever seen that on old virtuals before so I guess we live and learn. Thanks for another great cache - another favourite. TFTC # 12,620
Its Queens Birthday Weekend so we are off caching for the long weekend. Todays route took us from Motueka through the Rai Valley to Blenheim. A really nice hide here. We were wearing the appropriate footwear so it only took a couple of circuits to spot the nice camo. Adding a fav. Thanks for placing this cache here for everyone else's enjoyment.
I followed the progress of this cache as it slowly drifted in from somewhere out in the bay. Today was my first chance to have a look for it since it washed up here. Took a bit of close inspection before I finally found the cache. Whew! A clever hide. TFTC, Biggles.

needed help...sneaky thanks
could not log the Mapua Intersection eon...."LOCKED"...never seen that before

Followed the footsteps and soon honed in on it , a great cache, gets a favourite from us. TFTC.
A late start to work paired with low tide have me the chance to stop on my way past. Still plenty of footsteps in the mud but not a guide of where to look. Round and round poking and looking for something unusual finally meant success.
A great hide, thanks very much!
A great hide, thanks very much!
This was worth the wait. We circled GZ a couple of times then started looking with a bit of purpose. A few minutes later I found it. Having found a couple of the CO's caches in the past I was expecting it to be well constructed - and it is. Thanks for a great wee cache
I had seen this one published way way out in the Bay somewhere that a cache could not possibly be. How did that make it through the new cache process? But then again having now found the cache perhaps that location was possible and it just took a while for it to get to where it is now. Stopped by gz on my way home from another couple of caches this morning. Circled gz for a bit but couldn't find the cache. I thought a PAF might be required but before any help came back realised I had actually found the cache already but hadn't quite seen "it". Nice hide. Thanks Shorty1766 for the cache.
2TF at a shade before 9am.
It was good to see this cache finally wash ashore and so was keen to check it out quickly in case it drifted away again all too soon.
A quick whizz towards Mot before work having seen that no one had logged a find yet.
Just pulled off the highway, checking for a parking space when I saw Sidewaze with a definite spring in her step.
Knowing I had missed the FTF by a matter of minutes, I wasn’t about to head off empty handed, so having booted up I set off for the GZ. Under the eagle eye of the FTFer I couldn’t *not* find it so happily after a look here and there I wheedled the cache out of its cunning hiding place.
Nice hide
Thanks

Oooh hoo. An instant find. Well I spent an hour looking last night but not counting that it was an instant find . What a great hide and the coordinates were spot on. Thanks!!!
There's no coordinate update log on this listing. When the erroneous coordinates are too far out, you need to get a reviewers to help you. Post a reviewer note and they will usually make the change for you in a a day or two.
It appears the posted coordinates are inaccurate.
Please update and re-submit for review.

Looks like I have finally got it right. All my devices needed recalibrating. Get your gumboots on!
Sorry coordinates are wrong. Gps had a bad air day. Will sort when I get back from holiday.
If this cache is where the coordinates indicate then it cannot be reached either with low tide or with high boots so the description is not accurate. If the coordinates are correct then surely the guidelines would indicate that the terrain rating should be 5. IMHO.
