A quick pit stop on the way home from a work day in Horsham. These two have alluded me so a slight detour was in order. This was nicely done. Fav added.
Found by Mary and David at 11:30. Spotted this one quickly, but loved the placement. Gets a FP. Our thanks to Nards_Nuggles.

TFTC. We had previously failed at this one as it had gone walkabout. We are back in the area for the Long Weekend so made a plane to rectify some of the DNFs we have in the area.. This was the first of 3.
We needed to go to Ballarat for an appointment and we have found that there are quite a few caches that have been placed since we have been this way. SL TFTC
replaced log sheet. Stopped to get a cache or five in a new LGA. quick find.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

Out on a Christmas break with sir_spectre, exploring southern Victoria grabbing lots of smilies, finding caches in LGA's and of course signing a few more challenges.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
A tricky little hide it took me longer than it should have as I put my hand on it several time’s before I realised it was there, definitely didn’t have my geo brain working, thanks for placing this cache
So we bottomed out the Tesla on the way in, but it was worth it nonetheless. A beautiful, quiet spot, with the odd ute cruising for firewood, dogs yapping in the back.
Nice find.

Well I made this much harder than I should have. After pulling up, a 250m walk over 2 dry river beds brought me to GZ where I found the cache container neatly tucked in behind. Thanks Nards_Nuggles.
I found the cache here lying amongst leaf litter so signed and replaced in the correct spot. Thanks nards nuggles
Not sure whether it was us or the cache was not there. We checked but not for us today

A long weekend and being able to go for a drive, well that means only one thing...... Caching is back on the Cards.
In the last few months the old Geo truck has only been out a couple of times, for NON geocaching related trips. So a check of the map and what caches around, are available and where I can take the truck for a nice long drive. I came up with a trip plan to drive around Ararat, Great Western, Ararat Hills Regional Park, Armstrong to see what smileys I could accumulate.
I left home just after lunch and got back at around 1930H.
It was and interesting trip, seeing all the wind turbines and not a single one turning around. Disturbing a couple of mob of roos in the bushland. A couple of wrong turns on the back roads and some quick U turns made when I over shot GZ, well I was enjoying the freedom of the drive.
With a good number of finds for the day I did managed to get a couple of DNF's. Maybe another day for them one’s hay.
All caches were found, signed and replaced back as found!

It has been a while since we have cached in this area and we enjoyed in an obvious hide location returning today as we headed east. Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Nards_Nuggles for the cache.
Out after the mega event. Day 85 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 15 for the day and 2465 for the trip. TFTC
Out for an hour with Ruthie91 & theKoala. Going to pick up the geograndies for an hour or two
Found on a slow (caching) drive over to Melbourne for a family get together.

Ah the things we do for a souvenir. Day 7 of streak week and another quick dash up to Ararat. Nice hide Nards. Fave from us. TFTC.
Last day of the school holidays and they are driving me nuts!! Must be time to get out of the house for a few hours. Luckily for my sanity, there's been a huge spate of hides in our area recently that need our attention! So, back to Ararat for this week's grocery run and a gorgeous, beautiful, sunny day; perfect for some family FTF action! This time it was Geo12 and Geo10 up for the action, I was just deso driver And OMG, if they weren't fighting over who found it first, they were laughing and giggling at each other when they were slipping and sliding in the mud. I just can't win...
11/12 caches found today.
As we drove past this one to go to #3, we came across a flashy looking Land Cruiser parked off the side of the track on the grass, with a lady sitting in a camp chair, reading. Kids thought that a bit odd..
On our return, I said to the kids, wouldn't it be funny if she was parked at GZ? Turns out she was!! Well, 15m away anyhow. I was going to keep on going, but kids demanded I stop. She looked worried, I was nervous, but as soon as I explained what the kids were up to, she was like, "oh is geocaching like that Pokemon game?" yeah..... nope. After a few minutes the kids had the goods in hand.... secret of life, eh??..... and then they had the best time showing this lady all about about GC, showed her the cache, showed her the app, showed her all the GC's in the area. (I don't think she really cared, but she enlightened them nonetheless...) Told us she was on her second-last day of a 3 month trip around Aus with hubby, who had left her sit to read while he went walkabout with a metal detector. Didn't come across him in our travels. Another funny story to add to our day out.

Headed west for a short break and decided to take the country roads rather than the hwy.
Day two of my break had me leaving Lexton and heading south west today.
Back on the black top after the trails around Beaufort I was making my way west.
Another detour off the highway to delay my arrival at my destination due to Geocaching.
I remember Petticoat Junction on TV but this area is not familiar.
I disregarded this one at first as it was to obvious but after scratching around I came back to it and there it was.
Should have gone with my gut the first time.
Thanks Nards_Nuggles TFTC

When you pull up at GZ & look out the window something screams out to you about the answers to life , the universe & everything - you think 'nah, couldn't be it'. but after scratching around everywhere else you find out it is
Suscoe enjoyed a rather long road trip today from Geelong all the way to out past Moyston and back to Geelong again.
We had an early start and soon the rain set in for most of the drive to near Ararat.
We covered around 500 kms.
We saw sheep, cattle, horses, alpacas, roos, yellow tailed black cockatoos, hawks hovering, a few trucks, lots of cars, a half full lake, some motorbikes and plenty of brown grass and lots of hills and mountains.
All in all it was a pretty good day with 20 cache finds to pop the icing on the cake.
Thanks to Nards_Nuggles for this hide, a nice placement and a quick find.
Thank you for placing these caches for us to find.
Much appreciated.
A favourite for the work done.

I haven't been up this road since 2014 to grab an Alansee cache a little further up the road. This one was quickly located as l made my along the quiet road grabbing a few caches. A little sneakier but again another quick park and grab, thanks again Nuggle Nards for the hide.
Heading over to the Mega in Melbourne and spent the afternoon caching around Ararat TFTC

We always make time to find a few caches travelling between Melbourne and Adelaide. It was great to stretch our legs in this pretty piece of Victoria where we could search for caches without concern for muggles. A quick find at GZ thanks to the cover on the hide! TFTC
A pleasant Friday arvo drive through the bush to collect these couple of caches - a nice area.

Final leg of an amazing trip to S.A.'s iconic Yorke Peninsula. We allowed time around Ararat, to seek out the caches, left untouched last time we were in the area.
We missed Petticoat Gully on a recent trip to Ararat, so it was good to collect three smiley tokens today.
Thanks to 'Nards_Nuggles' for the hunt and cache placement

Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! Easy find in a lovely spot!!!
Aussie Mary spotted this quirky hide from the car. I do love a bison hidden in such a way that it can be spotted by the driver. Thanks for the hide.

After heading off the highway it was good to be back in the bush chasing a few unfound caches in the Ararat Regional Park. As we were counting down to gz we spotted something that stood out to us immediately....what if.... no... it couldn't be.... Once out of the car we had our hands on it straight away

After spending the afternoon chasing a few first to find on Mt Cole Neville_devil and I though we would go a few extra kilometers to grab a couple more for good measure.
As we got to GZ Neville_devil was onto this one in a flash as I was still approaching from the other side.
Thank you Nards_Nuggles for placing this cache for our enjoyment
