Disabling due to COVID19. Geocaching is not an essential activity and I feel that to protect the caching and muggle community/s we should put a hold on our caching activities for the time being.

Off to find clues... as there is a Mystery afoot!
Teamed up with Stumble's Mate for the day. It took us a few caches to decide our signing name was HUMS and boy did we "hums" putting a big dent in the caches around Camden. Thanks to all the CO's and thanks to Stumble's Mate for the wonderful company.

The day started with an early morning event in Mittagong.
Happy Uke mentioned that she was heading up to Camden today to grab some caches and as I had no plans for the day, I asked if she would like some company.
So we headed off with Uke driving and me navigating targeting caches that would help us with the "Mystery at the Museum" event.
All up we found around 31 caches. All are signed "HUMS" as either HUSM or SMHU just didn't cut it.....LOL
Thanks to the CO's for putting these out and apologies for the generic logs.

Today Muppet95 and I set out to complete as much of the "Mystery at the Museum" challenge as possible, having earned the initial clue and souvenir at his event last night. Muppet95 had laid out a plan of attack centred on Camden, so he navigated while I drove the trusty GeoForester and we shared the finding duties. We had a couple of DNFs and, factoring in caches that one or the other of us had already found, we took a little longer than anticipated but both managed to get to the final stage of the challenge, collecting enough clues and jewels to earn the relevant souvenirs. All up a very pleasant and rewarding morning exploring the area.
This is indeed a very tucked-away little park that would be easily missed. Fortunately the cache itself was a quick find, although we had to squeeze our initials onto a little space as the log-roll is full. TFTC!

Today I teamed up again with marj01 for another day of caching, this time around the Narellan/Camden/Cobbity areas. We had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding a heap of hides but also a few DNF's along the way.
A quick find.
A quick find.
I quick find with some geo friends late at night. TFTC .It's really great discovering these hidden parks.
The Rats have had a slow caching start to 2019 but today we set about rectifying that. The Camden/Campbelltown had seen a plethora of caches published since I was out this way last time, so on a beautiful Autumns day I had a great day caching through the burbs.
My first find for the day.

#5945 (4 of 7 today)
Heading a bit south today for some finds - and hoping the weather holds...
Decided on the Camden area and managed to get seven out of eight attempts - including avenging a previous DNF.
And managed not to get rained out.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well except for a few muggle issues, this one was another easy find.
As I pulled up one muggle was pulling out of their driveway, and took ages to drive away. Hmmm... Then the muggles on the other side of the park were out and about.
Thankfully it was an easy find.
Grabbed when no one was looking, then completed signing duties and replaced. Time to get outta there!

Clearing up a few icons on the map while house/dogsitting in the area that I never seem to have time to stop for or make the detour, managed a full day just in and around Camden. Spotted cache surprisingly quickly however, made time for a mid-morning snack waiting for a muggle to pass before I could grab it.
Quick park and grab. Effective use of this type of camo. Looks like it belongs there. TFTC mushu.
Travelling home to Canberra after spending Christmas in Sydney. A quick find here. TFTC 007mushu.
Found it, nice and tricky... until Mum decided she would find it and leave the kids on the slide
Out with Gundrills, searching for this cache for half hour he found it. This was our first cache. TFTC
Out with the geokiddies for our 1st time. What a great way to get out and about. Took a bit to find and see how it all works with the phone and all. Love it. TFTC.
Camden South seems to be full of little park reserves and this is one of the smaller ones but also one of the better views. It didn't take long to work out where the cache was, but I was still here long enough to enjoy a couple of magpies carolling in the tree nearby.
And a hidden park it is. I strolled in a made the find quickly, then noticed that I was being watch by a magpie as I was walking out. All good. It did not seem to be protecting its nest...or maybe it just likes geocachers.
#2254 Out on an afternoon cache run collecting some GA trigs as well as some GC caches. In all we found three GC caches including REALLY SideTracked - Menangle Park Racecourse Stn, Hayters Reserve & Hidden Park 2. This one took a whike longer to locate but soon enough we had our hands on the cache
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache 007mushu

Today I teamed up again with 154crows for another epic day of caching this time around the Picton/Camden area,we had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding a heap of hides but also a few DNFs along the way but we finished up a great day out finding more then expected so that was a bonus and left with plenty of funny and some odd caching stories to talk about.

The WaywardWoman wanted some company on a trip she needed to make to Grasmere so I went along. After she had concluded her business we tried a few caches. This was our second , but I had already found the first. It was a 50/50 choice as to which road to take to this one. We naturally chose the one that had the longer walk and the trip between houses and barking dog, not the nice, easy drive up option. The cache was an instant spot, though. Thanks
#4669- Today I had to visit a new exchange student who had arrived and is living in Grasmire. So bikerbuddy came with me so we could do a spot of caching afterwards. It's a long way to drive from the mountains without using the time well.
The GPS brought us right to the spot, and this one stuck out somewhat, especially since I'd found two of the same kind in the last week or so. A nice little park, quiet today, especially considering its school holidays. Thanks

Found after watching the junior geogangsta play soccer against the Camden Tigers. TFTC
Quick find after a game a Tigers. Haven't had much time to cache lately so it was nice to grab one with Brizzle11 and the geo-gangstas!
This cache is appropriately named. This park is well hidden. Nice views of the rural setting. Not too hard to find. TFTC
I quick find here this morning, thankfully no muggles about. This was one of the areas I did some years ago as a census collector, thanks.
While geodad in america we thought we would do some caching since the kids are sending me NUTS at home
Pretty park, lovely views and an easy find. I liked this one much better!!!

I did not realise this was such a new cache. It is a hidden park and took a bit of navigating to find it.
Good to get another calendar day out of the way. Thanks 007mushu

I've been to busy lately too keep up with new caches in my local area, so i was quite happy to be able to grab a few this morning before work.
The park was nice and empty of muggles, but full of birds chirping.
Thanks for the cache.
