Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Thor's day the seventeenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found it! Think perhaps the magnetic element has broken off because not exactly what and where I pictured it.
A scenic driving day as it’s drizzly. Popped my newly-knitted beanie on my head and headed up the road. A couple of multis, an Earthcache, a virtual, a puzzle and a bag of trads...
Read the instructions and took a tool to GZ. But the cache was just sitting there. I’m not sure where it was supposed to be

Quick find and I didn't need any special equipment to get it. A nice alternative to the main road.
Getting some more finds in this LGA. quick find.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

On a Christmas Holiday with sir_spectre, visiting family in Mount Gambier and then on to Victoria to visit some new places as well as some old haunts.

We were heading home after visiting friends and remembered we hadn't found a cache today to keep our streak going. We're not keen on caching by torchlight but sometimes it has to be done!

I was really expecting this windmill to be larger- it's still quite cool to look at. Cache located and signed..Thanks to the CO for their time and effort in this series. I really liked this series, straight forward caches that where all different and all in areas that you can safely pull over.
Familiar with these hides, I simply parked and dashed without a car passing by. TFTC!
Suscoe was up early this morning for the trip home.
We left Sale not long after the sun had peeped over the horizon.
It was a cool start but as the day passed by the sun got a little warmer.
We enjoyed the caches that we were after this morning.
Some traditionals, an Earth Cache, an Adventure Lab and a couple of Multis in the mix as well.
The Gippsland countryside is a delight.
Thanks to Scrappy 1, we appreciated the fact that you had thought about safe parking spots close to all caches, thank you for this consideration for the safety of others.

YAY I've finally found "There was a crocked windmill". Thanks Scrappy_1 for setting this one up. It's not often these days that you get to see a windmill still in working order. YEP - the road was incredibly busy but the cache was soon in hand, log signed and replaced back in its hidey spot.
PS: The Troll Dolls (TN6TR0) were with me today on my great caching adventures.

A quick grab and sign before we were on our way. Co-ords were good. Thanks Scrappy 1.
A quick look but being busy with traffic & avoiding mozzie we left this one for another time
lost my pen here, lucky have a spare, tftc , found pen returning the cache lol..... also found a metallic L plate
Got up super early in the moring while visiting my in laws in Rosedale to drive the back road to Sale to grab some caches. Some lovely views and a spectacular sunrise!
Looked everywhere (well obviously not every where - I didn't look where the cache was).
Thanks anyway!

On our way back to Leongatha today we decided to take this side road and collect your little series. Some fun hides! A slightly tricky spot to park but all good. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
GPS was jumping around all over the place. Hubby found where I had already looked
Feeling cabin fever I've come out for the day to explore. This cache was part of my journey. The weather has finally cleared and it's turned into a nice day.
Took longer than it should have but finally found cache in good condition. The windmill in the nearby field makes a beautiful scene. Tftc

With a rare good day arriving a plan was hatched with Rebel Acts to head out towards Rosedale and complete the Giffard Road series and then loop back through Woodside towards home.
It was a great day with lots of frivolity and fun with the most common comment to each other being 'amateurs' when we found a cache. But we are not competitive!
We picked up a number of other caches outside the series and managed to get to others we hadn't planned on as our progress through the list was impressive. A total of 60 finds for the day!
We heard the crooked windmill squeaking in the breeze as we made a short search to find the cache.

Sun was shining and a day off meant a caching trip with Ski Pair, a plan was hatched with a list of around 70 caches on it as we headed out to tackle the Giffard Road Series and a few other caches we passed along the way. We managed 2 FTF's and I found My 17,000 cache. The windmill was actually turning tioday.
Thanks Scrappy_1 for the cache.

Found by Mary and David at 11:35:00. Burnt kangaroo bones. Cache is ok, but the attachment is missing Our thanks to Scrappy_1.
Catching up with some very late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
We really enjoyed this series with the different hides, good co-ordinates and safe parking. a great way to finish our few days caching in this lovely part of the world.
Thanks Scrappy1 for placing this series.

We found this one after a bit of rummaging around the Ground Zero area. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Thirteenth for the day, quick find, cache container is damaged but contents all good, coordinates were 8 meters off. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Found with gwd.aussie and Sharon14. With a previous DNF on this cache it was decided to undertake another attempt on this cache wondering how the recent fires affected all the caches in the area. It was nice to find that although the surrounding area was burnt out that this cache was safe and we were able to make the find this time.
Thanks Scrappy_1

This one is good to go, the ground around it has been burnt but cache is safely nestled therein. Go get it!
Temporarily disabling the series on the Rosedale Longford Road as there is a bushfire here.
It was a gorgeous morning, and the time is our own. Good to get out and find a cache or two. Health problems are limiting us to shorter walks these day. We've been here before to do this cache, but it was missing. Nice to get it this time. TNLN SL

Thanks for the caches to break the trip.

Yeehaa, appointments all done and dusted and today we are free to cache. The weather has turned sour but we couldn't resist knocking over this tempting series. Rain's coming down heavily now so it becomes a bit of a discussion about who is getting out to grab the cache. Given the dnfs we made only a quick survey of gz and then gave up and headed back to dry car.
Too cold to stand around reading older log, so after a
bit a search, we moved on.
Thank you anyway Scrappy_1.

Combining a bit of retail and caching therapy whit gwd.aussie and Shaon14. Surprisingly the road is busier than expected with passing vehicles interrupting the search. So after a bit of a search and 2 close encounters with creepy crawlies this will have to be a DNF
Thanks anyway Scrappy_1.

Alas, my only DNF of the day. I cannot see what I'm supposed to extract, somewhat hindered by my messy curls flapping in my face. I had tools ready but had no idea where to use them. I will be back.
Due to the hint and previous logs I got very confused regarding this cache. I ended up going into Rosedale for a coffee and then returning for a proper "cachers" look. Ah!Hah! There it is.

Out for a spontaneous cache with Aslanmane and TG4thewin. Didn't find this one the first time as felt a bit exposed... Once I had a bit of a think it was pretty obvious - signed to the log with Aslanmane. TFTC
We missed this one the first time as it came up on us a bit fast and we drove past it then couldn’t find an easy place to park. Never mind, we got it on the way back. Thanks for the cache!
Out for a day of caching with NoonaB on a wet cold windy day, perfect for park and grabs with a nice warm car to retreat to in between caches. Thanks for placing the caches along this road.
