Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Thor's day the seventeenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Lovely morning out on the road with the fantastic Mr Fox and thought wed grab a few easy grab n go caches in between destinations. Thanks for the hides
We were both surprised at where this cache was located and surprised that is has no favourite points. We believe it is a novel way to place a cache and haven't come across it before. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Out for a work trip and discovering the area, thanks or taking me this area. TFTC

A scenic driving day as it’s drizzly. Popped my newly-knitted beanie on my head and headed up the road. A couple of multis, an Earthcache, a virtual, a puzzle and a bag of trads...

That's a new way to secure a cache, not seem anything like it in my first 3500 finds, but it works well.
Getting some more finds in this LGA. quick find.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

On a Christmas Holiday with sir_spectre, visiting family in Mount Gambier and then on to Victoria to visit some new places as well as some old haunts.

We were heading home to Golden Beach after a long international flight when I remembered we needed a cache to keep our streak going. This one was the perfect choice although I was a little fogged by jet lag and it took longer to find than it should have

I was disappointed I couldn't see this grand house from the road - I shall have to resort to Google to satisfy my curiosity. This cache marked my 300th find. TFTH.
Suscoe was up early this morning for the trip home.
We left Sale not long after the sun had peeped over the horizon.
It was a cool start but as the day passed by the sun got a little warmer.
We enjoyed the caches that we were after this morning.
Some traditionals, an Earth Cache, an Adventure Lab and a couple of Multis in the mix as well.
The Gippsland countryside is a delight.
Thanks to Scrappy 1, we have enjoyed this trail, thanks so much for placing these caches, just one more to find now.

YAY - I found 'Holey Plains' today. This was a quick find, log signed and cache returned to its hidey spot. Love the history of this place and I loved seeing this gate way. It's a pity that I couldn't see the house. Thanks for the cache and the history lesson Scrappy_1.

This one took longer to find than it should have. It is nicely tucked in. Thanks Scrappy 1.
So lockdown is finally over in melbourne.
So me and the geo wife decide to head down to gipssland to a much needed get away and to do some caching.
Caching more on my part than hers.
So we started by heading down to a small place called The Honeysuckles stopping at a few caches on route.
Arriving we discovery, no electricity or water.. can't even flush toilets as water on electric pump...and of course no phone signal..
How am I going to find caches now?
So we have to pack up and head back up the road and ended in a motel in sale for a couple of nights.
A few days later power is restored and we are back in this beautiful beachside community.
After a few days we head towards Walkerville just across from Wilson prom. Was incredibly happy to find a cache directly behind the house we are staying in.
Anyway lots of caches found and TB's collected and some left.
First cache of the trip
Thanks for the hide and the cache
Log book signed and returned

Got up super early whilst staying with the in-laws in Rosedale to drive the back road to Sale and do some caches. A very pleasant mornng out with some nice hides found.
Took a while to find this one, but when I did I discovered I had lost my pen! I def put a pen in my pocket prior to leaving and then after a further hunt around in the spots I had already been looking for the cache, I found my pen!
Pen was put in a more secure pocket after this. TFTC!

Interestingly enough we got to meet some relatives coming out of the gate just after the Melbourne cup event.
This gentleman riding a motorbike and holding the gate for the other cup watchers to depart , told us that his wife’s sister is married to Richard Crooke
He also showed us where the long driveway ended up at the fine Homestead. He confirmed about the height of the Bell Tower and the handmade bricks.
He did tell us though, disappointingly, that the current owner never rode up the stairs in the Bell Tower on his bike.

On our way back to Leongatha today we decided to take this side road and collect your little series. Some fun hides! Fascinating history here - we Googled the house, would love to visit it on one of the open days. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Feeling cabin fever I've come out for the day to explore. This cache was part of my journey. The weather has finally cleared and it's turned into a nice day.
Found cache in good condition.

With a rare good day arriving a plan was hatched with Rebel Acts to head out towards Rosedale and complete the Giffard Road series and then loop back through Woodside towards home.
It was a great day with lots of frivolity and fun with the most common comment to each other being 'amateurs' when we found a cache. But we are not competitive!
We picked up a number of other caches outside the series and managed to get to others we hadn't planned on as our progress through the list was impressive. A total of 60 finds for the day!
I walked straight past this one, but Rebel spotted it quickly. He's good!

Sun was shining and a day off meant a caching trip with Ski Pair, a plan was hatched with a list of around 70 caches on it as we headed out to tackle the Giffard Road Series and a few other caches we passed along the way. We managed 2 FTF's and I found My 17,000 cache.
Thanks Scrappy_1 for the cache.

Found by Mary and David at 11:45:00. Pretty cool today. Found this one ok. Our thanks to Scrappy_1.
Catching up with some very late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
We really enjoyed this series with the different hides, good co-ordinates and safe parking. a great way to finish our few days caching in this lovely part of the world.
Thanks Scrappy1 for placing this series.

Straya Day Weekend - 60 Caches - A Guy, a Gal and a Boy - Great Family Day
We decided after a two year absence of serious caching that we need to get out more and gather some finds. Today had us heading East towards Rosedale and Longford before having lunch at Sale, we then tacked the Gifford series before having dinner at Yarram at the pub and heading home.
Nary a cache evaded us, and our competitive juices flowed and we couldn't be separated at the end of the day with 18 finds each, with a few joint finds.
Thank you for all the hiders for their efforts.
Katy and Campbell went to an obvious hiding spot, Trent made the find much to their chagrin!!

Had a lovely day out caching with Mummy Short Legs with the sole purpose of collecting trails in our local area that we hadn't yet been able to seek out. I'd tried to find this one ages ago but with two kids in the car and a steady stream of traffic past the area it just didn't seem like the best timing for the search. Today however it was just there, and so obvious to me! Don't know how I missed it last time. TFTC Scrappy_1
Check my cache series today and enabling those that are OK. At this stage Ive lost 1 completely and will leave a couple of others disabled as the area around them was burnt. No need to have anyone traipsing on sensitive ground.
Temporarily disabling the series on the Rosedale Longford Road as there is a bushfire here.
On the way home from Seaspray after spending the long weekend there.
Thanks for the caches to break the trip.

We returned to the area to complete this series today. It was a miserable day and well suited to a roadtrip and sightseeing. Thanks for the cache and safe parking.
Yeehaa, appointments all done and dusted and today we are free to cache. The weather has turned sour but we couldn't resist knocking over this tempting series. Interesting way of securing a cache. Tftc
