I have a fair idea where this would be hidden but there is nothing there. I searched through adjacent grass but all I found was snails. I think this one may have gone.
On my way to drop some items at a friend's house in Mernda I decided to take the opportunity to do some caching on the way there and back.
I spent some time enjoying the area but was unable to locate the cache.
Thanks amaali for getting me out of my house.

Well I didn't go away anywhere for the long weekend and neither did OzHockeyChick. So today we went on a bike ride along a couple of trails and this was one of them.
After completing the aqueduct trail in Research/Eltham area we headed over here for another nice and not too hilly ride. It was a busy little trail along here today with the beautiful weather but it was handy having the bikes and a companion so we looked a lot less suspicious.
Another tricky little one and glad I read the description which saved some time and with a nearby makeshift tool we had the cache extracted.
Thanks amaali for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

With our respective caching buddies out of town or otherwise occupied this weekend, spiffy and I decided to team up, drag out the bikes and find a trail or two.
Another find after a dnf. This had us scratching our heads for a while. Once we realised where it was we fashioned a tool from nearby resources.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, amaali

Reading the description is the key! We were able to improvise a tool for retrieval. Happy finders!
Out and about with Trailstevo, on a 10km walk, which went wrong and ended up at 16km. Having reviewed the map and seen a few more cache being published in the area I thought we would do a lap. Certainly know we had covered some distance by the time we got back, but were rewarded with 14 (I think ) cache. Two of which were prior DNFs. Thanks for the exercise and adventure Amaali
Well, that 10km walk with Gunks to do a Mill Park loop collecting caches turned into a 16km trek. Found all except one. Good mixture of hides. Plenty of muggles out early but got a bit lonelier once darkness descended. TFTC
I have visited this geocache a year ago and spent about an hour here and had to log a DNF. The second visit was looking no better. I searched high and low once again. Then finally resorted to actually reading the description, which is a failing of mine when I don’t do it. It gave me a whole new mindset. And I have finally found the damned thing. Excellent hide Amaali, the whole thing is a fantastic red herring in itself. Well done. TFTC
Taking advantage of the cool change that has blown in and taking a break from watching the cricket (Go Labuschagne! 200). Out on the bike to cruise the Darebin trail...first off the bat (see what I did there) is the crossing. Nice hide. TFTC
Second go at this one but had a more focused search and soon found it. Did need a magnetic tool but possibly could be accessed without one
This one took quite a while to find. I even had to resort to moving on to the next cache and then coming back a bit later once I'd thought about other possibilities. If there was a CCTV camera watching I'm sure it would have been amusing to watch me. There was lots of crawling around and peering through gaps and then a few fake phone calls while muggles walked past. Then I had an "Ah-Ha" moment and then the cache was found. Once the extraction method was worked out, the log got signed and returned exactly as found. This one gets a favourite. TFTC amaali
Checked today for amaali and the cache is in it's hide and ready to be found.

Out and about with echidna44 exploring this new area to us. Having a good day with only one DNF. Found the excellent hideand by using our handy tool and between muggle walkers. Thanks for the cache amaali
Out with xambo4u, we decided to walk along the Darebin Creek in Mill Park. We had a successful day with only one DNF.
A little searching, and use of a tool, we were soon signing the log. Thanks amaali

Found this one a little while ago but forgot to log. Found with my youngest while out for a bike ride this afternoon. This one had us going for a little bit and didn't come prepared with the right extraction tool but improvised and soon had the little hide in hand. Thanks amaali for the hide.
Who would of thought finding two pick up sticks in Bunnings tool shop (see attached photo) would take three times as long than finding this cache. A well hidden cache - and glad I checked the hint before leaving the car. TFTC amaali
Had to improvise, definitely dont need a magnet though. Good spot, hidden by the grass. Love it.

Suscoe headed for the Bundoora area on a mild day with a bit of sun, a bit of cloud and a mild breeze for a Summer's day.
20 caches visited and 20 caches found.
All caches are in good order and are well maintained by their owners, thank you.
Thanks to amaali for this hide, a neat bit of work and a favourite from us.

I'm so glad I checked the hints before we headed out as my magnetic telescopic torch was not in my bag. It came in handy here, although the 6 or so identitical places it could have been did not fit my torch, so I'm glad it wasn't in one of them. They had spider webs in most of them too, a sure sign I was in the wrong spot. My wife ended up finding this one. TFTC amaali. Loving the new conrete paths!!
It took me a while and much too much hunting around to realize what I must have been looking for. Thanks amaali.
Thanks Amaali for the help after a DNF. On a second attempt with the GPS giving a more accurate location so I was able to look on the correct side of the footpath this cache was so much easier. Quite a challenge anyway. TFTC.
On a pleasant day for a walk I thought a little geocaching was in order. A nice stroll along the creek to find a little cache or not. No luck here. Tftc.
A third DNF in a row. Never happened to me before I think time to give up on this whole trail and find a new one
I read about the 'tool' but had to improvise here and at Marathon cache.
Nice hiding spot too.
Cheers

Got to GZ and checked a few places to no avial. Then I checked a few more and found the cache.
Fortunately I had done my home work before attempting this one, and I had the required tool at hand.

I came over this way to get an urn, and some caches, but here I got more than I wanted, I miscalculated GZ, and went under the structure, slipped onto my back, and slid into the wet stuff, a muggle thought it was hilarious, but NOT ME,, any way I did finally locate the item I was searching for, signed my name, discovered I had some skin missing and was losing blood, so this became the end of todays caching still all is good when a person can walk away and have a laugh, Thanks amaali, this cache is in good condition, and after a shower and a couple bandaids, so is this cacher

First for the day and think we found it but did not have the requisite tool. Maybe next time. On to the next on
Had to resist the automatic troll response to these kind of caches before finding it. Tftc
Another one we were prepared for and soon had it (after a few spots checked). Signed and returned. Thanks.
It was a long day of getting a number of caches in the area in out for a run attempting to get the 100 caches for the hidden creatures souvenir.

Fantastic hide, but very hard to retrieve without the right tool.
Should have read the hint before leaving home. Almost had it several times, but no luck.
But persisted till I finally got it out. Just could not leave without signing the log.

Whilst on the phone, I was walking to Gz and had to end my phone call so I could see the cache page and the. Realised then that I needed a tool, which I didn’t have, used a wooden one instead and after a few adjustments the cache came out. Nice little hide that looks muggle proof.
I had to make the trek twice to this one !! Next time I’ll read all before leaving the car.

Found while walking Shadow the geodog. Nicely hidden and a fave from me. Had a number of problems here. Dog jerking on the lead caused me to drop part of the cache which I didn't realise straight away. When I did I searched for over 30 min, weeded the long grass significantly, and managed to break my retrieval device, without finding it. All in all, apart from the find it was a bit of disaster.
thanks amaali

Very nicely hidden. Gets a favourite. Luckily I had checked the attributes and had the necessary heavy equipment on hand TFTC
Found on this cold morning after we ran out of night light this is going towards hidden creatures
Second to find! Found @8:15 with the help of my tott. This one earned me the Unicorn Souvenir!!
Thank you amaali for your great cache and hide, it's well thought out and it's a great area and should have a lot of visits as the bike path is very popular and there's great parking nearby. A favourite with me.

On a cold winters night I got the email alert and thought what the heck, I might give it a shot for FTF. Being on a caching frenzy for the latest souvenirs, I need a few caches. A nice easy find with the required tool. An Excellent hide. A Favorite Point given.
