A quick stop on the way to an event in Daylesford with Wombatwandering, but no luck in finding this one.
*5 Oct 2024, Not Found @ 9:19am.* When I arrived, noticed that the last two logs were DNFs but decided to have a quick look anyway as that doesnt always mean it isnt there, I had a poke around but wasnt seeing anything and those spike on the leaves were certainly keeping you from getting too close so in the end I decided to move on .**Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for placing this cache even though I couldnt find it.**
Next stop on a drive around the area, but alas this one wasn't to be. Managed to get a good look under the ivy, but still couldn't spot it. Being well camo'd, as another cacher mentioned, I'm guessing I've missed, so it's a DNF for me.Thanks anyway Benjamin Screamer...will watch and see what happens.
Had a good long look for this with my grabber but couldnt find anything. 1.5 difficulty & terrain is a bit rich unless the cache has been muggled.
Persist, its well camouflaged and within reach of the edge of hollywe left a pencil
Warm day, I'm in a tee shirt and don't have gloves. I can see it, but no way I'm reaching in to grab it.
Last stop for the day.
Mrs Cogs has a soft spot for the name Leonard as it was her dad's middle name and there is a story behind that as well.
As this involved Holly bushes, we drew straws. I had to go first but the problem with that is there was only one straw. Havein had one in our back yard growing up I knew only too well the pain they can inflict. On with the gloves and start searching. Only where there were obvious gaps and before long the cache was in my bleeding hand. The gloves only have a cotton backing. Signed the log, replaced the cache and hit the frog and toad for home.

Nice an easy find for this large cache, the bush is looking lovely too.

Fortunately we didn't need gloves as I think the shrubbery had been recently trimmed so this was easily accessible. Mrs B spotted this one from where we had parked across the road so I wandered across to retrieve the cache. My mate couldn't see the cache so walked over to where he thought the cache was and in the process managed to blunder into the water filled gutter/ditch. Luckily for him he was wearing decent boots so avoided getting his tootsies wet. Sharp as a bowling ball is my mate!

On a road trip to Daylesford for a walk around the Lake and we stopped to pick up some caches along the way. This was the third for the day. Wetjala and Mrs Biggles spotted the hide on their approach to GZ before we had even arrived on the scene. We did leave a TB to continue its journey. TFTC.
Coordinates were great, which is just as well in a prickly area of GZ. Photo from just down the road.
Mr and Mrs Dromaniax had been to Hepburn Springs for a well-deserved soak at the hot springs.
We also enjoyed a delicious Devonshire Tea. After this relaxation, we stopped in Daylesford to do a little shopping and grab a bite to eat for dinner.
On our trip back to St Leonard's, we decided to stop and find this cache. We were caught behind several very slow cars, so stopping and finding a cache significantly reduced our frustration.
We parked nearby and made a very quick find as the cache container was out in the open. We signed the log and placed the cache where the hint suggested it should be.
The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this Traditional cache Benjamin Screamer.

My plan for today was to kayacache at Pykes Creek - despite only solving 2 of the 6 puzzle caches.......
I've driven this road countless times but never had time to stop. Today, I made that time!
I love holly & this bush even had wee green baby berries. This is where I struggle with Victorian seasons....... I've only been here for over 15 years but in Scotland the holly has red berries at Christmas!
Dressed for kayaking, I didn't hold back (even wearing a tshirt & shorts) so emerged covered in wee scratches. I was close to giving up on this but had 1 final look and there it was. Many thanks

Could not find it amongst the growth. Oh well bought a bearded iris from the stand for $5

After a long weekend in Bendigo: time to catch up with non geocaching friends from the past and make tracks for home. Naturally a few detours on the way to collect a few smiley tokens for our collection.
The turbines were synchronised in their ballet and the holly was getting ready for Christmas.
Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for placing caches with a story.

A quick find to break up the drive to Melbourne and a nice opportunity to show my partner a classic country town hall. TFTC.
As I pulled up at GZ I started to swear under my breath when I saw all the prickly holy.
Luckily all I had to do was reach on a little to collect the cache. All in good condition here
Thanks for the cache.

Took a bit to find, very prickly bush. I haven't seen a holly bush since I was a kid, can't seem to buy them now, maybe they're a weed
A couple of caches ago i was complaining about the blackberry. I should not have complained, i think Loki was listening and decided to test my patience with holly. That is one healthy holly warrior and i think he almost won, but i got the cache.
Almost gave up, but persistence and alot of pricks ended getting my hands on the cache. Wish I had long sleeve tftc
Spotted the large holly bush on approach and just had to dive in and brave the prickles. It is a beautiful shrub ‘tho

TFTC. Found while out caching with Aussie Fun Seakers ang my hubby. Lots of water around.
Cool spot, but the cache wasn't hidden very well. So we tucked it back where we think it should have been.
Holly there was a lot of it! A nice easy find. Love the cache container. I wonder if two windmills is enough to power the town? Thanks for the hide.
Picked up the trackable to take on a journey.
Picked up the trackable to take on a journey.
Had to look on all three walls but eventually found it was fun doing the walk to find it.
Having had lunch at Daylesford, we took the long way home and fortunately I checked for any caches and noticed that this one was waiting to be found. What a great spot to place the cache, perfect co ords. Signed and replaced. Thanks Benjamin Screamer
Found by Mary and David at 14:10. Almost a month since our last find thanks to Lockdown 4. Today was a chance to escape. We were in the area for some cache maintenance, and as we passed by this one on our way there, we notice that the Market was in operation. Happily they were finished when we returned, and we quickly located the nice big container. Dropped off " Muggle Hubby’s Power Surge" trackable Our thanks to Benjamin Screamer.
We took a lovely drive in the country today, and it included a few smilies along the way. This was our first find. We just missed out on the market, which will be on this weekend.
Thanks for the hide and for the info on the page!

After Chook and her friend Wendy had enjoyed a fabulous 9.5km hike around the Sailors Falls area, this cache was one of a few found on the way home. Cache found quickly and in good condition. TFTC Benjamin Screamer.

Quick easy find make sure not to touch the bushes though when you go in and get it
On my way to visit a mate nearby and dropped in to collect this cache. A relatively quick find and the log was signed. Thanks for hiding this cache.
This geocache is currently disabled because I support the government's non-essential activities restrictions that have been introduced because of the COVID-19 virus crisis. I encourage you all to suspend your geocaching activities ASAP. We must all work together to stop the virus spreading. The cache will be enabled in the future.
With all the on going issues in the media I was keen to get out and get some fresh air and grab a few cache around Daylesford while out.
A quick park and grab after a tiring day
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Benjamin Screamer

We did enjoy our drive to find this well hidden cache that was well camoed. Thanks for the interesting notes on Leonards Hill - good to visit an area we had not been to before.
TFTC Benjamin Screamer - we get amazed at all the different areas in which you have placed your very many caches.

heymissjo and I are homeward bound now.
Thanks, Benjamin Screamer, for this nice sized container. It's in great condition and was just the thing we were looking for.

Just as we were pulling up, we saw a huge wombat walk and then run near us. As we were being careful of wombats possible unpredictability, we hung back until he run into his nearby burrow. Leaving us to park and explore gz.
This is our last cache for the day after a huge day caching! The Welder and I are driving home after the weekend at the Mega in St Arnaud. As we don’t have to work tomorrow, we have been able to take our time driving and collecting more caches to help with challenges. This one will help us with our LGA challenge. Thanks for the cache.
