My muggle wife and I headed up the range today from Brisbane to enjoy a weekend away with her cousin. We stopped at the bottom of range to pick up a trad to close out the alphabet challenge and then needed one on the lake for a month attribute challenge however that access was closed to the public. Parked the car and made my way to the cache found quickly, signed and returned safely for the next cacher.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
We were in the area for a Rural Safari event and stayed a bit longer to visit for the first time the Cooby Dam and to get some more caches. We found this cache and signed the log. Tftc Jess and Car
After the Rural Safari, out and about with TBU1Bikesu for more smileys. Tftc Jess & Caro

Easy peasy! When I saw the location, it reminded me of a hard cache near Leyburn way, but this one was definitely easier! (Thank goodness)

Hi there Carø, we found your cache Dam Fake Rocks today.
Day seven touring out from Toowoomba. Today we’re touring in town. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.
A nice quick drive-by geocache with a wonderful view.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the countryside today, & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: We replaced the log sheet.
Regards
Ian & Penny

After an epic lunch with KellerClann nearby, we drove up here to get some fresh air. I inspected the first set of rocks I came to but Ms.KC made the find at the more obvious looking rock. TFTC
Stopped off here to show a mugble who I am staying with a geocache. Soon found and logged and all in good order. TFTC
I stopped for a quick find around lunch today after exploring the markets in the town of Carbalah! This dam looks small on the map compared to some around the area but once here its very impressive. Thanks Jess & Caro.
Day two of my three day weekend of caching. A later start than normal for me as we had a team of cachers ready to take the fields today. To reduce the amount of cars on the road, Charli and I got to jump in with Domsky and Esmiley. This was a fantastic time and a memorable one, I got to have a lot of fun today. Not just with my caching buddies but some good quality time with my little girl, before she drops the geocaching thing.
We set off and just drove all day; there were hills that gave us some great scenery and crop fields. Some beautiful country roads and a variety of animals to see, yes a variety, cows, horses, lizards, frogs, an echidnae, a Clydesdale horse (striking), sheep, kangaroos, wallabies, birds and a black cockatoo. Two stand outs would have been the Clydesdale and the echidnae.
The caches today varied in size and with some really nice and clever hides. The regular and large containers kept Charli busy while we signed the logs. It was just a great day out some really good company.
This cache was an easy find. We singed the log as team GRAV, rather than writing 10 names in it. Thank you for placing it here.

Came back as we missed the cache when we get the answer for the multi. Who puts a cache on top of a waypoint? Lols!

This is the second time we have been at this location today....could of saved ourselves a second trip!!!
On our drive today from Toowoomba to Brisbane, we took a few slow roads and some detours. We have never had the opportunity to visit this area before and today it seems that we had the water and the dam to ourselves.
We could see that there are a few puzzle Geocaches in the area which we would also like to do, however it looks like we’re going to have to do a bit of solving at home on those first, so I suspect we will be back here again sometime.
This was a lovely stop on the way to the water.
Thanks Jess & Carø

An easy find here. Signed the lg and replaced. Reading the plaque nearby I was transported back to the late 1960s when a group of us arranged a visit to the 'NASA' earth station here. Later I was able to speak to one of the engineers from Dept Civil Aviation who was seconded to the station to hear more stories of their exploits there. I shall have to dig back through photos taken at the time. TFTC, Jess & Caro.
Overshot this cache on the way in so stopped in on the way out and made the quick find. Tftc Jess & Caro
Visiting Toowoomba and finding a few caches around the area. Came to visit the dam but the gates were closed, forbidding entry. Was glad to make a couple of finds at least.

Goombungee Day 2
Camp at the Goombungee showgrounds for a couple of days.
Todays trip was into Highfield out to Cooby Dam & return.
After 5 caches we realised we had a flat tyre so had to make a detour to have a puncture repaired.
We travelled to many new & interesting places, many dirt roads again today.
Thanks for placing this amazing series Carø

Clever, sneaky hide. Thanks heaps! Little fella and I enjoyed discovering what that spot there is! All in good order.
Well now! What do you know! Imagine that! The things we wouldn’t know if we weren’t geocaching. Thanks for showing this to us Jess &Caro. A great spot to teach us something we didn’t know. Out adventuring and geocaching with SaintsMadHouse today in this glorious countryside. Found the cache, gladly signed the log before replacing as found out of sight.
Cheers and happy caching!

I am celebrating my Birthday this week with a Camping and Geocaching week based in Crows Nest. All Finds are logged as SMH if too small for my stamp.
Thanks for the cache and all is good here, I was looking for one of these but wasn’t expecting it to be like that. Clever

Out for a day of caching fun with grannysmith 1947 and Brislions. I found this place very interesting as I had read about what used to be here when I visited Tidbinbilla last year. Pity there is nothing except this rock to remember this by. The cache was located after a bit of a search and our names added to the log. TFTC
Out today with Selva Girls, grannysmith1947 and Miss Millie the geodog. Toowoomba here we come. For me I found 5 AL, 5 mystery and 6 traditional. Some tree fishing, and tree climbing. Had lots of help with some of these mysteries. We had lots of fun and a long day.
Sorry for the generic post.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. Jess &Caro TFTC *528* streak. *3118* Finds

Dam icons hiding other icons. Missed this one when I stopped to start the multi. Cruised by on Evie on the way back from the dam wall.
Our last day in Woomba Woomba sees us going for a bit of a drive. Find went to geoP after geoD had already searched there. Thanks for highlighting this little piece of history.

No luck for me today, I had a good look but chose to move on after a few minutes.
Hopefully it is still there, and very well hidden.

A quick find and nearing the end of a great day driving around the country side collecting a cache here and there. Thanks Caro.
The long awaited Toowoomba geocaching weekend is finally in progress - Gcoven, Team ARF, Ardom and myself have booked out a house, gone on a mad puzzle solving frenzy and made some crazy plans. Time to collect those smiles.
Whilst grabbing multi WP info, this was collateral damage and just waiting there to be picked up. Luckily the fake was quickly picked up. Shame our little will need another trip to Cooby to collect the other caches that were in the closed out section of the park. Looking forward to that trip. Cheers Caro for placing the cache.
Out for the day to visit Cooby Dam and this is the first find of the day with Geobuddy Lil! TFTC
Out and about to find a cache to fill the calendar and this one called out to me. Loving the new road out here and here is hoping with the recent rains access to the others will be happening soon too. Quick find and all is good here. TFTC Jess & Caro

Fake it till ya make it, and we made it, after leaving home at 7am at Wamuran for an adventure which took us out the side of toowoomba near Ma Ma Creek up to this beautiful dam and back down via two other dams. A quick find, thanks to Ms Maddy for waiting as she had already logged this one. Tftc!
T-Tech and I are staying with Brother Colin and Triciac2 in Toowoomba for a couple of days, and today we are visiting Cooby Dam. We stopped to gather a WP for the multi right here so of course grabbed this cache as well. T-Tech made a quick find. TFTC, Jess & Caro.
Up from Brisbane with IolantheK for the CO's BD Plus an Event at Cabarlah [^]

A traditional cache was needed today but the weather was bleh and I had very little motivation. A park n grab was just thing considering the car said it was 36 degrees at GZ! TFTC Jess & Caro.
Shooting the breeze out Cooby Creek Reservoir way & after having secured a nearby FTF we decided to grab a few quick smilies on the way back to Toowoomba for lunch with some Vegan amigos!
Deja vu, we were here not long ago chasing down some info for a local multi (a shame we couldn't complete it as the area is closed & fenced off).
As I began my search there was a beautiful little specimen, about 3 cms long, of an Australian scorpion species, tail up & heading for cover! LOL …
A quick find soon revealed the cache.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
TFTC Jess & Caro:-)

We came out here for a drive today to claim the New Year's Souvenir. There was another cache that used to live here and having worked with a gentleman that once work out here in the day I knew exactly where to go.
Thanks Jess & Caro.
Thanks Jess & Caro.
After a disappointing discovery that the dam was shut today we turned around and made our way back to this GZ.
What an interesting location that you might just drive past if it weren't for geocaching!
Thanks for making us stop and the cache Jess & Caro

Heading home from Toowoomba today, via a detour or two of course, we had a plan to head to the dam for some caches. Unfortunately we couldn't access Cooby dam today, it was closed for some reason or other, which was quite disappointing. However we did stop past here and make a quick find. As to the dam....
we will be back!
Thanks for the cache Jess & Caro.

Was fortunate to have been with HippyDonna a few weeks back when she found this. So today was my turn to add my signature.

You and your damn dams Caro! I ventured out on a respite day with hubby and he hadn’t seen the other side of Cooby so it was a good look around. Found some answers to clues for our future hike around Cooby - like, you know, when it’s 3am and cool or in Winter
To think I was so close to it before. Thanks for this one. All good here today.
3rd cache for the day while scouting around the Toowoomba region after recently moving to the area. What an amazing bit of history. I certainly had no idea... but now I do.. spotted a very dirty but rare white eastern grey kangaroo nearby. So that and this cache was a real treat. Found with my amazing Geo-wife KaleidoscopeCass
Well that plaque was definitely not something I was expecting to read - but a great spot for a cache. Geohubby WallabyTim and I had decided to go for a drive on a wet, blustery day and ended up heading to Wellcamp, Oakey, Meringandan and then Cooby Dam. We were not prepared for how cold it was going to be in October up here so only got a few smileys but will plan a day to explore Cooby more, perhaps with some geofriends from Brisbane as the local wildlife was amazing. TFTC
I came down to the area a day early so I could attempt these hides at Cooby Creek Dam. Had to stop very close by to gather the answer for a part of the multi out here but after having gathered that I drove down to the next point for the multi and realise than that I had not found this one.
Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and regular logs as I tend to write a little on the big side.
TFTC Jess & Caro.
