Reperio 11:50Day 2 of my little escapade towards Albury for the weekend, and after spending the night at the Henry Angel Flat campground in Tumbarumba, it was up early to tackle the remaining caches along the Hume and Hovell Walking Track. Once back at the car, I made my way towards Albury for a fun weekend of caching and found plenty of caches along the way.Gratias youngnilsAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Wow I need to be talller.Even with a tool stick being magnetic makes it harderNice hide
On our way to Canberra Mega, decided to spend a few days in Albury as we cache our way to 4000 caches.Today was the day we wanted to explore Lake Hume. Another beautiful vantage point. Tftc.
Caching today with Weirdobiker, we were visiting some sites of puzzles solved over a long period. I dont come to this area very often, so I was lucky to have her to chauffer me around. Noticing this trad nearby, we sauntered down to find it with the accurate coords. Thanks for your work here, youngnils.
Almost didn't come as we saw the dnf yesterday but thankfully it was a nice easy find!
After a few hours of relaxing in the boat we decided to grab a quick cache on the way home.
Beautiful area.
We will have to bring some snags and bread next time.

A quick find with the eldest daughter on our way to a birthday party. All quiet here. Daughter helped to get this tricky one out of its hiding spot!! Thanks for the cache!

I've been past this one numerous times but its always been way too busy too attempt. Today it was empty! So I made my way over the spotted the hide every quickly. Quick pic and off i went. Tftc !

Over from the UK catching up with family, big brother Pprime allowed me to take Suzee his beloved 4WD for a spin today as he had to do something else so I was off out on my own this morning.
Out to grab the virtual and took the scenic route back via this cache. Lovely area. As I approached GZ and read in the description about the cache guardian I looked up and saw something somewhat larger!!!(See photo!!!) Was debating how much I really wanted this cache but then realised it was somewhere slightly different and could access without risking life. Although I was somewhat lacking in what was needed but luckily Suzee is a carrier of all sorts of great caching accesories and gave me what I needed to grab this cache.
All in good order. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing this cache for me to find!!

Out enjoying the day with OZREG as I have found myself back in town undertaking some much needed reconciliation with family and friends. Can't believe how high the weir is up at the moment. Cache found, but container needs a little tlc.

My last (hopefully) caching Saturday for this trip in Albury - it's 4°-5°C, it's raining, it's miserable - yep, it's Albury. What a lovely spot - pity about the rain, but can imagine this is popular.
Thanks youngnils for entertaining me at this location.

Tftc. A quick morning find after caravaning the night in this beautiful spot. Try spotting the pelicans when you stop over
Making our way back to Victoria after a trip to Jingellic - for caching purposes of course! A slight detour off our route home to pick up this lonely green box on our map. SL at 3.55pm and after a little bit of a clean up, and a sharpening of the pencil we put everything back in place. #7821 TFTC and the history youngnils
South NSW trip February 2021. Day 2. Fitzy_1965 joined me for a two day jaunt to Albury and the area to the West north of the River. We covered a lot of ground, but as we have done a lot of caching between home and there it has become the next area to spend caching time. There was a variety of caches scattered around, but the most interesting section was Monday morning spent in the Quatta Reserve, quite a few challenging caches and a wasp sting to remember it by.
Thanks for the cache youngnils

23,649. Found during a caching run to break-in albida33's brand new Geomobile.
Day 2 of our trip south. With a brand new Geomobile to test out, albida33 and I headed down the Hume cherry-picking caches filling in many gaps on our maps. After swagging overnight in Corowa, we hit our target for the day - Quat Quatta Reserve. After we finished there, we started the haul home grabbing a few more as we went. Next stop for the day. Enjoyed the short detour out here to get this one. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list.
Thanks youngnils !!

This was our first attempt geocaching as a family. Took a bit of looking as we had no idea what we were looking for. It was a real family effort and good fun.
we’re dumb and accidentally pushed it in further but thanks to some skinny fingers we got it out
Spent half an hour trying to get it out, had to do piggy backs and all
So fun
So fun
Found it on a very hot day. There were 17 cars within sight but all were down by the waters edge. I had a small tool with a hooked end and that made it easy. Thanks for this one in a nice area. I was down this way visiting my son and his family. Coords spot on.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
Cache was quick and easily found, no issues with this one. All looks to be in good working order. Thanks for the find
Quick find but had to use the bicycle for extra height. Electric bbqs in good order. Nearby shelter picnic tables and water tap.. Great lake view. Tftc
Found with K&EPearce. Great spot for the young bike to ride his bike and enjoy the sunshine.
Good find, my mate seen it and poked it but didn't click it was the geocache, 5 minutes later we found it
Some what obvious place but inconspicuous. Sighted the geocache a few times without realising.
Found on 22nd May while on a birthday mission to fit in 50 things on the day for geomum. 5 geocaches was on the list. Nice easy find find and luckliy didn't meet the spider. TFTC.
TFTC. Staying at Thurgoona for a day or two. Out to Ettamogah Pub this afternoon. On the way back we did a slight detour to find this cache. Nice quick easy find.
Headed to Albury with Roostaman, to pick up a few caches.
Cache found after a short search, signed and replaced as found.

**# 26397** Found on a warm summer day for a drive with The Drovers.
We both needed to find some more Albury caches, so today we did.
Mainly good safe hides and some quick finds.
Cache condition is OK/good.
Thanks for the cache youngnils,

Would have been much harder to find had there been some water this far up the lake, but hot and dry meant the water was a long ways from here, and so where the people cooling off in it.
Spent a bit of time looking in completely wrong area, much to the annoyance of some very hot magpies trying to keep cool in the shade. Soon moved to where I should have been and then found it quickly.
TFTC, Cheers.

Hot and smoky today will have to come back here if the weir ever fills up again, the cache was quickly found hidden behind the cobweb. TFTC

On my way home to Canberra from the last event of the 2019 Oceania Orienteering Champs held near Beechworth, I stopped for a few finds. This one took a few minutes to expose. Nicely hidden. TFTC.

Didn’t have much time to find a cache in between homework and sporting commitments today so this was the chosen one.
Nice sunny afternoon in a popular place for us over summer. We had a cache here many moons ago.
Had a feeling where we’d fine the cache even though it probably doesn’t quite fit the terrain 1.5, luckily I had a fit GeoKid with me.
Contents were dry even though the lid wasn’t closed and the bag was torn, seems to be holding up well.

Maybe we were looking to hard, although it's cold & windy so not nice weather. Will try again another time.
Bugger me, within a minute of logging as dnf, geomum points something out! I needed the extra height of my suv to grab the sneaky little bugger. This is getting a heart for me. Theredfox
After the rain we decided to come out for a drive and grab the cache. As there were no muggles in the area we decided to grab the cache while we had the chance. Nice hide. It will be tricky in busy times.
We then decided to use the opportunity of the low level of the weir to go for a walk out. The dog enjoyed running around the mud and water. It was stunning out here this afternoon. Lots of 4wd enjoying the lack of water level.

A little bit of spare time today gave me the opportunity to look for this one close to home that has been on our 'to-do' list for some time.
A perfect day to be out and after arriving at the Bowna Reserve we virtually had the area and GZ to ourselves.
It's been a while since we've been here, but it was perfect in an historical sense as we could see the location and the contours without the water (and a few remnants of previous civilisation).
Of course in the grand scheme of life we'd prefer plenty of water in the reserve mostly.
SL at 11.30am. Cache all ok and good co-ords made for a quick find.
A well-placed container and a great spot to visit at all times. TFTC youngnils.
