TFTC!Found @ 11:50amHave heard of this park over the years but never visited. We enjoyed the loop around the lake, such a beautiful little area.Cache spotted quickly, a nice tribute to old logbooks. We don't have any to add today but will keep in mind for the future!Signed proper log and returned as found.Day 59 of caching streak Find #586
On my way to this cache I met with a fellow walker who grew up near here. He told me this water collection was originally built and used for the steam trains to use in Mount barker back in the day. As a child he had played and swum here and he went on to tell me he had only seen it empty once. Apparently in the 50s Mount Barker had run out of town water so they used all of this water! I love hearing stories like these. After saying goodbye to this fellow I continued to GZ to make a very quick find, pay my respects, sign the log and continued to enjoy the serenity of this magically little woodland hidden in the hills.TFTC hevwalkerKeep smiling

This is day three of my week-long adventure in South Australia. My first time to the state, and I intend fully to make the most of it. I get up as early as my eyelids will allow and make my way out of the CBD to pick up a hire car. Today is all about geocaching and covering the hours of driving to Renmark for the weekend. And some late-night planning has me a rough route and list to complete.Along the way, I need a stop and a geocache vaguely near here. And so in my rough spreadsheet is this geocache. A healthy size, a healthy number of favourite points, a quicky off the highway and in a little bit of nature. Plus, I had the pleasure of watching the CO run a workshop at the Mega-Event just yesterday. So that's what I do. After laying down some distance, the navigation exits me off the fast stuff and towards this little reserve. Other geocaches caught my attention, but I just have to be picky with the time I have today. Eager to stretch my legs and enjoy blood flow, I jog down the track, then take a left, then along the oasis-like lake.It is such a perfect day out. Calm and cool, clear skies and the flowers here are singing out loud. Just off the track I make a quick find and enjoy the little trick with the container. Inside I find the correct logbook and sign my name right around 13:00. It reminds me in my early days, I used to have a half drawer full of dried-out logbooks that I'd replaced for years and years. Then realised it was pointless and chucked them all. So, I love this idea for a cemetery. None to add - not when this far from home. Thanks for the geocache, hevwalker
TFTC! 27 February 2024 2:58:16pm 7385 thanks to hevwalker for the cache! Off to the Great Leap Tear Mega in Adelaide. A stop off along the way! A lovely walk, a little worried about snakes today, but found the goat track!

A nice stroll around the recreation reserve. Cache and contents were in good condition. Love the camo.

Wow, what an awesome cache! Loved the effort that has been put into the hide - brilliant! Everything all good at GZ. No logs to drop off, but happy to sign in with the resident. Replaced as found, and a fav added. Thanks so much!
Travelling from Perth to Canberra with lots of side tracks.TFTC.

What an unusual container, not quite what I was expecting. Out for a stroll with sir_spectre enjoying an unusual free Saturday.

Owl was invited by CPWanderer to go on a walk and find a couple of caches in Totness. Owl agreed, provided she could also achieve her 12,000th cache. With goals in place they set out. Owl had trouble with this one as she was worried it contained something unexpected. However, CP had more muscles than her and managed to get it open. Owl's old logbooks end up in landfill, but she might need to rethink that.
Find 2 of 33 on a busy caching day - out to Mount Barker for a bush walk, Hanhdorf for lunch and an Ad Lab, then e-scooting all over town for the afternoon and finally out to Port Adelaide for a FTF.
Excellent cache. We paid our respects.

Today, I and J plus the little one visited a farm to pick some strawberries, and found some caches in the area. We found 5 caches today, all traditional caches.
This was the second find for today. I selected this cache to try, due to high favourite points.
Parked on the end of the road, and walked to GZ. Took a photo on the way.
At GZ, cache has been found easily.
Interesting cache! Interesting topic!
Took nothing. Left nothing. TBs visited. Signed the log book. Placed it back.
Thanks for the cache, hevwalker.

Had a great day out in the Adelaide Hills today with some Totness caches to finish the day. Left the car at the end of Milne Road just on dusk and when the drizzle started. We guessed what we were heading towards and found it under torchlight. A great idea for a cache and well executed.
No spiders were seen on our dark excursion. Took the trackable.

Out exploring the Adelaide Hills to get away from the rat race and to enjoy the fresh country air.
What a great cache. I wasn’t expecting something so elaborate. Favourite point from me.

Great concept. I didn't know that this existed otherwise I would have brought some old log books. Thanks hevwalker for the great idea. Ps I met my wife at a Mount Barker combined church's Easter camp 45 years ago.
Surely this is a cache. Very creative, love it!! Could not open so may have to come back. Took a photo today as proof.
If i was to bring all the old logbooks i have swapped the co would need a bigger container. With my team i replaced the whole of the geo art on the york's, almost all of the ROTF series, and myself FITG series and the first 50 of the FTF series plus at least 150 around the 2020 ( or 2021 )mega in october.
found after my last day of work for the year. Took a stroll past this point to check on one of my caches and place another one. quick find.

A fun cache for Find #1800, this made me smile. I know what to do with old logbooks now. I grabbed the TB, Mr FPC. Thanks so much Hevwalker.
The best cache I’ve seen, absolutely brilliant.

Great fun cache whilst out with friends. Vale Monsieur Journaux de Bord. Dropped in a travel bug.
What a great idea. My husband was completely freaked out when he found it, but the geokids were brave and opened.
Picked up the travel bug and will try taking it to Melbourne when we are allowed to go interstate again.

Great cache! We've always just discarded our old log books but what a great idea to have somewhere to put them! Pity it's so far from home. Anyway, loved your cache, and enjoyed a walk around the lake. Left a TB Thanks
Back to Totness and surrounds today on the way to Robe for a week. Needed a multi for the day so had saved one of the ones I’d researched with JJ52 yesterday for today.
It was pretty hot and I was very tired after an insomnia night last night so we only found 5 for the journey but kept the streak alive and another multi date ticked off.
We were nearby so couldn’t resist this one seeing it had lots of FP. We can see why now very clever and a favourite from us, good spot for those used logs. TFTC Hevwalker

I love this cache. So appropriate. If I ever do put my own cache out I know where to drop off a full log. Was interesting to see all the logs that have come before.
Wow! This one is unreal! What a cool idea for a hide... i loved it!! [Fave Point awarded here for the construction of the cache and the idea ]

We remember Astro's ammo can collection many years ago . Today, we have our own collection tub that lives in the shed - an interesting history lesson as we remember the cachers that have come and gone over the years [^].
Great camo at GZ . TNLNSL.
Thanks again Hevwalker.

Found cold day but nice to be outside cute little park very cool container. Found on a cold day but nice to be outside cute little park! The start of a lovely day caching and lunching around the hills!
With an excessively rainy day the day before, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to do a bit of geoaching around Littlehampton and Nairne. It was a cold and at times, wet day, but we think we timed our outside activities right in between spells of rain. We did a small walk around the dam at Totness Recreation Park, collected various geocaches around Littlehampton, and then headed to Nairne to see some of the murals, before calling it day before we were able to complete that respective multi-cache.
I remember when this was published a few months ago, and I thought it was a really good idea by the CO to acknowledge the used logbooks around the place. Today, I got to see the great location also that this was placed. At GZ, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I both marvelled at the fantastic creativity of this constructed cache, and very well sorted and organised. Great one from me, and worthy of a Favourite Point. We both signed the logbook, and I took the TB that was here, cheers hevwalker.

Decisions, decisions. [?] One one had - it is a beautiful sunny winters day - perfect for caching. [^] On the other I need to do some house work . Guess which one I chose. [:o)] Well at least until lunchtime, collect a few nearby caches and drop off a few recently acquired travel bugs around the area.
Picked the wrong time for this one. Three cars parked near the entrance to the park. Walking down towards GZ I encountered four muggles and three dogs. had to wait a few minutes, sitting by the dam waiting for them to disappear from sight before I could get into the bush and find the cache. Great cache design. FP for that. Dropped off a TB here.
**Thanks hevwalker for this cache. **
