My first geocache meetup. Brief for me but very fun — I am a very casual cacher compared to some! I enjoyed learning about the Ape caches for the first time and how cool to meet two people who have logged one! Safe travels and thank you New Zealand for being such a wonderful destination.

It was a great event with a lot of local geocachers and even a cacher from San Diego. It was really nice to meet you all!

Nice to meet up with the hosts and others here this evening to a spot I don't think I've ever stopped to check out. Thanks NiMa&theBlackdog for the event and I wish you safe and enjoyable travels throughout New Zealand.

It was lovely to meet you. Enjoy your trip around New Zealand. It was nice to meet up with 1066 again and also nice to see the regular event participants. Lyttletonwitch, KCN and I found a geocache together after the event, which is always fun.

Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au

If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Thanks for organising the event and I hope that you enjoy travelling and caching around New Zealand. Enjoyed catching up with some of locals as well that turned up.

We were having an evening walk through central Christchurch looking at all new buildings and park areas. We had a visit to the new library and enjoyed talking to one of the librarians about the genealogy. As we left the library I noticed there was an event being held only 350 metres away in 45 mins. I had seen this event several times over the last few days but didn't think we would be so close to it. So we found another geocache and then headed towards the event.

We arrived just as NiMa&theBlackdog did and had a nice talk before other geocachers began arriving. It was nice to meet geocachers old and new and talk about geocaching adventures. It was nice to see Nosynel and Me and Pedro again as well as lytteltonwitch, KCN and abl973.

Nosynel gave us a travel bug to take back to England as she could not find a cache big enough to leave it in when she was in Scotland over Christmas. I told the group about the UK Megas in Aberdeen in August this year and the Sussex Mega in August 2020 and several of the group were interested in possibly going.

NiMa&theBlackdog are from Holland and have geocached all around the world so we wish them happy journeys around New Zealand. There are so many wonderful places to visit in our great country.
