Had to change the hide due to the original location being completely removed.
Had to change the hide due to the original location being completely removed.
Had a good look and couldn't find it. No sure if I'm blind or it has gone given all the "easy find" logs.
Quick grab while driving past looking for an AdLab location. Must bring the kids back for a play! Hammered by mozzies while signing the log
What a cool spot that I’ll come back too with the Ez boys one day, maybe on a less soggy day and when the mozzies aren’t out, they were vicious today!
Cache was located quickly and signed fast as mozzies were not keeping to themselves!
TFTC Jamin. Disc golf will be fun

Big micro. Forked it. Log full needs replacing. so nice in sun. Thanks for all the caches in Wang, great way to see the town by bike.
Caching in this area with Crank1 during the Mega event. Jamin Appleford, thank you so much for placing it and highlighting this area.
Found this one as my intent to shower at the aquatic centre was delayed due to their opening time! tftc
A nice little walk from the mega event and an easy find but not the container I was expecting. TFTC.
We love disc golf so when we saw we had missed this we had to come past this morning on our way out of town. Thanks for a great weekend.
Today we found Wangaratta Disc Golf on our travels. We were stretching our legs or sneaking out the back door (in a break from the GPS maze, well that’s my story anyway!) .So nice to have company!
Thanks Jamin Appleford for being part of our geocaching fun.

TFTC. One last one in the Mega Area. Thought we had better go for a walk to sign this one before departing .
TFTC! A morning walk along the river, enjoyed picking up all of these caches. Very hot and humid especially in the sun.
Wangaratta Mega trip Day 4. It has taken quite some time to get this trip going so it is a great feeling to be on the road for a great weekend away with great caching with friends and new friends. Today was the second day of the Mega itself. I spent most of the day with Gliss, Nibbletricecakes and Smitten Granny. We spent the day visiting as many of the caches around town as we could, doing multis and the puzzles that we had already solved amongst the large number of traditional caches. Another hot day that was very satisfying. The day ended with the farewell to the Mega event and at dusk the second CSI Night cache.
No one was out playing, but even at this early hour the sun was hot out in the grass.
Thanks for the cache Jamin Appleford

Mega Weekend at Wangaratta we had a great time finding your cache Jamin Appleford, thank you so much for placing it.
Found on a week long trip to Wang for the Mega event with Roostaman.
Lots of driving around town and avoiding the heat often.
And lots of different caches found as well.

We have one of these Disc Golf parks down near where I live back in the burbs of Melbourne, down Clayton South way I think. I've never seen anyone play it though. Good idea though to try and get kids out to enjoy some physical games instead of their heads constantly buried in iPads.
Thank you for the cache here Jamin Appleford

Made my up to Wangaratta to attend the Mega event over this weekend that we have finally been able to attend.
Thanks to everyone behind the scenes for making this happen on this weekend.
After spending yesterday driving and walking to find as many caches of various types as I can and squeezing in a few Adventure labs around town then the tea event and of course a late night jaunt around some of the OMCT caches today was going to be a bit more of a relaxed day before helping out at the Mega site.
Another warm day to be out and about and I have come across a few of these courses now and I think the last one I saw was in Ballarat.
This one needs a mow as you could lose your frisbee in some of the long grass as you move along around the course.
Was not expecting the hide to be where it was but it is safer where it was.
Another find so now off to help out at the site.
Thanks Jamin Appleford TFTC.

Found by Mary and David at 14:30. Not time to say goodbye to Wang just yet. How wonderful to have time to see your girls this morning, and feed them a very small amount of cake. They were like little birds opening their mouths and it was pure joy for M. They also held M's hand going across to the bins. Usually they are shy, but not today. We first saw disc golf being played in the US on one of our visits BC (before COVID). We were fascinated to see that the serious players had a range of discs for different situations, much as a golfer has a range of clubs. Cache needs a new log (sorry that we didn't have one with us). Our thanks to Jamin Appleford.
Found this cache as it was the closest one to where we were camping. All good and the log was signed. Thanks for this cache go to Jamon Appleford.
This course needs a good mow!
I have tossed many a frisbee over the years but never played disc golf.
A quick find at GZ dodging bullants.

Found during the Wangaratta mega. I woke up earlier than expected this morning by accident so decided to attack the caches around the showgrounds, starting with this one. Lovely walk in a very quiet area (at this time of day) and a quick find at GZ. Nice frolf course! TNLNSL. TFTC Jamin Appleford!
I came here and found this one while waiting to help out at the Wangarratta Mega. TFTC Jamie Appleford

So excited to be attending my first MEGA and to be out and about after what seems like ages. Have been working very long hours for the past few months on the pandemic front so to have a few days for caching seems like an absolute luxury. ??
Great to meet new faces and to spend caching time with some familiar cachers as well.
Thanks to Jamin Appleford for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment! ??

One of the few physical caches I found when in Wangaratta for a mega geocaching weekend. Many thanks for the cache.
I never knew this was a thing, until I saw an Adventure Lab series in ACT, that takes you to different courses... who knew?
Anyways, I followed a crowd to this one too... that happens when a cache is onsite... lol

Thanks

Found by The Empire + H and the amazing caching crew!
The crew was back together for a bit of pre-mega caching on the Friday before the big event! It was a little steamy here in January - plenty of walks to get a good sweat going! A little bit of rain as we started the walk, this didn't help the humidity. Thanks for the cache, and the walk Jamin Appleford.

I was in town for a week to attend the Mega event, I had a great time catching up with friends and caching around the area, we had lots of laughs and fun along the way.
This is one of the caches found during the week. No trouble on this one, you never seem to see many taking advantage of this course.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for the cache.

Just a quick detour off the planned river trail walk and we soon had this one sorted. Never knew Wangaratta had one of these types of golf courses as l have only seen two in my travel, on in Geelong and another in Canberra so l figured that they were only in larger cities. The things you come across while geocaching right? Managed a pretty straight forward find after a quick search of some obvious spots, thanks again Jamin Appleford for the hide and for highlighting this somewhat interesting sport.

Today was the 1st day that the showgrounds were officially open for the Mega Event.
Our morniing started with the Trombone eveny.
Followed by a number of ALs. The afternoon was a walk along the river edge finding the multis & traditionals
A great day to start the event.
Thankyou Jamin Appleford for placing this cache.

Found it on a warm Tuesday evening. I had just found a cache nearby and thought I would stroll down to have a look at this one. On approach I immediately saw a likely hiding spot. Had a scratch around in the natural hide and there it was! Signed the log, left a bracelet and novelty eraser, then replaced exactly as found. Thanks so much for the fun cache!
Enjoy my early morning walk while staying in Wangaratta for the weekend in and excellent ABB. Really enjoyed the walks along this trail. This was a little tricky as the area had been roped off
Chose my time and zipped across and back after making my mark. Nice easy find here. Thanks for the cache and enjoyable walk Appleford

Friday the 13th - are we superstitious? With accommodation deferred from last week's covid lockdown, in convoy with Suscoe, we made our way to Benalla, where we found a few caches before continuing to Wang.
A nice quick score here!
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Cache we found here was not a 'Micro'.
Our thanks to Jamin Appleford for placing interesting caches on the gameboard

However, it is nice to see where the MEGA is going to be held later this year.

A nice straightforward find as the last one for the day. Fortunately the grassed area was free of bindis which had played havoc with bike tyres yesterday.
After spending the morning on the rail trail heading out toward Beechworth we returned for some lunch and a break.
From there the further reaches of the river trail leading off from the caravan park beckoned, so it was back on the bike and out to search for some multis we had gathered information for a few days ago as well as a few other traditional. It was a mixed bag with some finds and some reserved for a later date. We found the T ratings often unhelpful as T2's at times had us climbing or having to stand on the bike!
A great trail for riding nonetheless, and the hides varied.

Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the local district geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.
Generic Log. At home in Albury/Wodonga, we hooked up the trailer with treddlies inside and headed for Wang. Upon arrival, car and trailer was left at a caching friends place in CBD and off we went. Cycling around the township then upstream the Ovens river and return finding 20 Caches. This being one of them.
Some well crafted caches and good hides were apparent. Only one cache needed maintenance which by all accounts a good average. CO was notified.
TeamOZCAT would indeed like to thank ALL cache owners for their input and upkeep of hides.
A WWW (Wonderful Warm Wang) day was had. Again, thanks to all.
Karen had her eagle eye as usual, and her partner found one. No bike breakdowns nor sore behinds. Now for Reg, there's 2 bonuses.

Had an absolute ball in Wang today with my partner signing logs as TeamOZCAT. To save space on log paper, l did not sign as catnap777, but l am sure you all know l was there. I have left the logging of our team's finds to my partner Reggie. I would like to thank all the CO's for providing and maintaining the caches we visited today. All were found in good condition, the one that had issues l messaged the CO about. Bring on the Mega Wangaratta!
Decided to check that our bikes were all in good order for the forthcoming big riding days around this lovely city. It was getting warm and soon found this container in this significant cultural heritage area.

#3661 Often thought this game would be a bit of fun but to date we haven't tried it. This evening we were on a mission to fill in a rare blank on our geocaching calendar. Nice quick find and we now only have 2 more blank squares to fill! TFTC.
