Logs
We found this one out in the open, and when opened the log was mushy, so couldn't sign without destroying it. Returned it to beside the tank close to where we found it.Our final day in Tamworth before we need to move on, so we decided to clean up some remaining caches close to town as there was rain predicted for the early afternoon. As predicted, it arrived but not before we had found a variety of trads, multis and puzzles as well as tree fishing caches relatively newly published. It was a day with some good variety but also a few DNFs.Thank you to the cachers of Tamworth for an enjoyable and productive time here.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache ALFIE77JC1.**SKI Pair****
ALFIE77JC1 I found your cache The Albens Tank on 20/10/2023, 3:05 pm. This is my find 6124 and find # 18 today. No problems locating this one. Check out the SPOR. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
On my second day in Tamworth decided to venture out into the country area and enjoyed the scenery with all the small farming lots and finding caches along the way. Thanks for this cache.
Found quickly, container full of water, log basically paper mache so unable to sign. Not capacity to replace log for you today, sorry! TFTC!
Found on the opposite side to where the GPSr indicated, wet log needs replacing

Another turn onto another road and another cache to find. Found it, gladly signed the log and returned cache to where it was found. It’s quite hot today out in the sun and the grass was crisp and crackling underfoot.
Sorted thru and solved puzzles yesterday when it was raining. Took a drive this morning to do some searching. Logged around 25 finds incl trads and a letterbox.
The wee beetles have made a nest under the cache, but didn’t disturb them

A great start to the day with the caches in the area. Lots of fun spots. Found this one uncovered so I reapplied camo. Unfortunately the log was wet.
There’s a very good view from here. Cache is slightly damp – has the tank been leaking? TFTC

TFTC. We are camped at Tamworth on our way to the Mega in Dayboro. We decided to spend a few hours searching for caches around Hallsville before visiting friends in town. All caches were found in good order and co-ords were good. A good day 31 finds and two we did not find due to other reasons , so not logging as a DNF.
Log soaked but stamping was good. New log required

A short uphill stroll and there was the cache, the log was too wet to sign, thanks.
Found some interesting caches while out hunting with ilook4geo. Logs were signed and all were put back as found before we went on to the next find. Thanks for this cache go to ALFIE77JC1.
Started out today with goingplaces2 before the heat set in. Had a pretty good run and enjoyed the finds. Signed logs and are happy to log each find. This one was a success. TFTC.
First day of our Tamworth caching trip. So good to get away after being cooped up for so long. TFTC. Made this one harder than it needed to be.

Found at 10:21 AM GAFF1.
Managed to drive to within 8 metres of GZ for a quick find.
Does this little tank service the whole of this estate? Gosh - we have one nearly as big just for 24 units in our apartment building!
Thanks ALFIE77JC1.
Feedback: The log book is full.

After lapping the Oxleys Anchor puzzles, we headed over to the Hallsville trads. With Jane737 egging us on for just a few more, we grabbed another 9 for the day, with one DNF. TFTC!

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 3. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we headed out to do caching trails around Tamworth to the North. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost ever cache.
Thanks.

Day 3 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be a big days caching. We aimed to hit some of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Lots of rubbish here and spiky cactus spread about, we spend way too long here before the youngest geo son finially yelled "found it".
Left Blackall after the QOGM event, heading south for St. Arnaud event next month. Day 46 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 35 caches for the day and 1509 for the trip. TFTC
Tamworth Day 2
Arrived into Tamworth & have set up camp at the showgrounds.
Hubby needed to be somewhere to watch Bathurst. After the start of the race we went out to do some caching. We have never been into this area before & most of the area has great views over the farmland.
Lid missing & log wet so have replaced with a cache of similar size
Thankyou for placing this cache ALFIE77JC1

Day 2 of the visit to Tamworth with joojoo57. This afternoon we are tackling the northern loop through Hallsville, Moore Creek and Attunga, and I have just completed a big milestone On to the next 10,000!!!
We both took a couple of loops around the tank, but eventually I made the find. Had to take it back to the car for a tool to access the logbook. TFTC, ALFIE77JC1.

Day 2 of my visit to Tamworth with IolantheK and this afternoon we headed out towards Attunga and collecting caches that are mainly new to the area since I was last here.
After the special cache number at the last one we did come to a halt here - took a bit of searching and keeping away from cactus and prickles but finally found.

had to go back three times, three lots of cactus burr, but found it, take a pair of long nose pliers.
There is such a wonderful selection of caches around this area and this was one we targetted and found. We were impressed that caches were not missing and were well maintained. Thanks to ALFIE77JC1 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Heading inrto Tamworth to work closer to the next milestone. Out with Liz & Bruce who are working on their own milestone. cool start to the day

Finally found, I was almost cactus at the end, lots of them sticking to soles of shoes, geokids should be carefull. Probably needs a smaller log as hard to get out / had to take the clue as very literal, tftc
Coords bounced around, hint not helpful, I thought it was 100 metres away, hehe, Are we sure it is a micro and not smaller, will return if time permits during festival, probably not Ftf but none logged as yet,Tftc
(FTF) Yippee! Got the news that a heap of newies had been planted so up at 5am and off to find them.TFTC Alfie. Definately needs an extracting tool
