Hi there Chinchillageo,
RE: Your cache **"Chinchilla Pioneers"**
Following up on the NM log from 6 months ago. We are really sorry to report that the cache is missing, we spent quite some time here just to make sure. The CO's last visit to GC dot com was 29 January 2019. A local cacher has already "Unofficially temporarily disabled" the cache and has stated categorically "CURRENTLY NO GEOCACHE IN PLACE" - making the 21 Feb 21 log quite suspect.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Unofficially temporarily disabled.
When Chinchillageo placed this cache it could be hidden easily, but with the way branches have been cut the cache gets muggled far too easily. I've replaced it many times over the past year. Will try again to contact co via the WDRC libraries as it was set up as part of their Intro to Geocaching seminars in 2019.
The geocache is gone... again. Found the lid on the ground, nothing else around.

This was a quick find for us and a welcome stop on a day that had quite a long drive. Kids enjoyed the challenge of finding this one and we had quick success. Log signed, all dry here, and returned with a little camo. Whilst at this site we had a little walk around and found the Leichhardt memorial and petrified exhibit. Good photo opportunity for our holiday trackable. Thanks for the cache Chinchillageo. Only a few hundred more kms for us today. Cheers
Great cache. Thanks for arranging the hide and interesting placement. Our thanks to Chinchillageo for placing this cache and enhancing our enjoyment of the area.
Not tall enough needed acrobatics to climb over the fence. Not bad for seniors!! Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC
Day thirteen of my outback Queensland trip and the girls have asked me to come home, so I’m cutting the trip short by a couple of days. It has been fun but I still have a couple of must does on my list. The two oldies in this area are a must do, so with one being a short drive in and the other a bit of a walk around to get the plan today is to complete these two and then grab a few I missed on the way out. Still continuing my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day.
Having lost phone service I had to head to Chinchilla to grab some fuel and phone coverage. So while I was here I thought why not rectify a couple of DNF’s that I got on the way out, which I saw had been replaced.
This was a quick grab today and an easy find, thank you for replacing. With the log signed and cache returned as found, it was onto my target cache of the oldie now that I have phone service again. Thank you for placing it here, I really enjoyed the drive around this area today.

My youngest and I were travelling through Chinchilla today, and found ourselves having lunch across the road from this cache. As my daughter munched away I made the short walk to gz and hopped the fence for a quick find Tftc Chinchillageo!
Oh no we thought it was going to a a quick easy find but no luck today with locating this cache.
Spending the afternoon caching in Chinchilla, I came by to find this one.
On arriving at gz I felt a little exposed, but was able to make the find quickly. As I replaced the cache, people seemed to have come from nowhere, walking dogs, pushing prams. Nobody seemed to notice I was lurking around here, thank goodness!
Thanks Chinchillageo for the cache.

Unfortunately this one has gone; I notified the CO but was unable to hang around to see the new cache. I’ll be back!
Just walked to the big melon and thought we’d stop in for this one. Grabbed the trackable.

Cache was on the floor so signed and replaced where I thought it should go. Many thanks for the cache.
Good hide, easy find for kids if they tall enough. Minimal muggle activity on a Sunday.
Stopped off here on our way to Townsville for a week. Parked up in a side street and wandered through the cemetery for an easy find, all good with the cache. Interesting to read some of the gravestones on our way out. TFTC Chinchillageo
Quick and easy find after arriving in Chinchilla, obviously stopping at the Big Watermelon over the road first!! Lovely location. Took the travel bug. TFTC
My first ever time on this app. And my first ever find. Took a little to find but I'm excited for what I'll find next in others.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 10:25am. Cache well hidden. TFTC
Don't Bark up the wrong tree!
Took the time to wander thru the Pioneer Cemetry.
Very Interesting!

Heading West to escape some of the COVID craziness going on in Brisbane at the moment. An early start was made to fit in a long day of driving to Emerald via Roma, with plenty of caching along the way. Quick find after snapping a pic of the big fruit across the road.

Found at 06:16, thanks for bringing us here **Chinchillageo**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Easy Australia Day find, now going to head over to the Botanic Garden to listen to the music. Signed the log and left a calling card.
It was time to move along the road again with the caravan in tow. This cache was found with ilook4geo and both names were added to the log. All was then put back as found to await the next finder. A nice quick and easy find is good while travelling. Many thanks go to Chinchillageo for putting this cache into play.
Our travels took us further west today, along with goingplaces2. Picked up a selection of caches, signed each log and replaced as found. TFTC.
We paid our respects to Ludwig at his memorial, and made an easy find of the cache today. TFTC, Chinchillageo
my Muggle husband and I are on our way to Mt Isa and we are making a smiley map of our trip. This was our fifth find today and we love checking out cemeteries. At gz it was lucky I have a tall husband. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.
If the container is small we may sign as CG.
Lots of thanks to Chinchillageo for placing the cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

After attending QOGM19 in Blackall I was travelling in convoy with Snickersallen as we had a few caches earmarked to find on th way home. We pulled over to check where we should be heading to pick up another cache as there was a lot of road works going on and the roads were blocked. I said to Snickersallen that there was a cache 10 mtrs away so it was a quick unexpected find. TFTC
Heading home from QOGM and stopping for the odd cache along the way.
Quick find with Imbunda as we passed through town.

On our way back home from the QOGM events 2019 in Blackall, we stopped here to get this cache as a trip marker.
Was too hot to walk to the other one near town and we are flying on Friday to Germany... So we have to get home with our Caravan.

Staying the night across the road so it was a good short walk to gather this smile.
Found by Mary and David at 15:10. A FP for this even before Mary got out of the GeoPrado. She loves exploring cemeteries for the symbolism of the headstone carvings and the social history in the epitaphs. Hard to imagine what Leichhardt would have thought of this landscape. Some wonderful carvings - clasped hands, laurel wreath, roses, angels, passion flowers, broken column, and the inevitable tiny graves. You just can't imagine losing a child, but several would be too hard. Unusual to find two noticeboards near the front of the cemetery illustrating the meanings of many of the symbolic carvings. Our thanks to Chinchillageo.
On way to another overnight stop further inland so decided to break the driving here as i love old cemeteries. Didn't like all those pesky flies though. Sign sealed and returned ready for another to find.
Grand Poobah and I have Heading west for 3 days of geocaching.
This is Day 3.

FROM NZ
We are on an out back tour from rocky heading to Emerald and on to Longreach then back through Blackall and on down to Dalby
Chinchilla Pioneers has a replacement cache container with pencil, log, & small swag. Has room for pathtags & small trackables. GPS coordinates the same. You do not need to climb at all. It should be obscured from muggle view by natural camo. As the previous cache disappeared without a trace PLEASE cover it back up with natural camo before you go.
Read the last few logs and couldn’t find a mint tin or a cliplock container.
To avoid confusion, this note includes 3 photos of the original cache container and log book. As far as I know the cache hadn't changed, although I can see that in May it was logged as the camo having come off and was being held in place with a rubber band. I have spoken to a member of Parks & Gardens in Chinchilla - she remembers seeing it hidden months ago and was going to ask others at the depot if they had come across it recently.
After a couple dnfs and suggestion that this may have been muggled I thought I'd do a quick check for Chinchillageo and would report it was all good. Not the case unfortunately - it looks like a number of trees at/near gz have recently had a decent prune and that maybe the cache ran away in fear. It does not appear to be there on any level. Have sent a message to Chinchillageo.

In Chinchilla for one last day so came back for another look, without luck. For a small container with a 1.5 difficulty it’s too good for me.
