Just had to wait for a break in traffic to grab the cache, evicting the cockroach as we did so. Tftc
I spotted this nice little bunch of caches, which seemed like a good way to finish the day, before heading back to Hamilton, not realizing matagouri had already done them (he didn't cotton on until we got here either). So we walked around finding them for me only. This is a lovely little patch of bush.I wasn't sure which side of the fence I needed to be. Thanks for putting this cache here
Great geo, awesome find for us, so happy as we are quite new to this , log updated and replaced .
In the area for a BBQ tonight, and somehow Auckland traffic was better than expected, so here we are! A nice easy find here, the neighbours were preoccupied with their own interactions and there were a couple of nice breaks in the traffic. The hardest part about this was getting our pen to work! TFTC
Took a few minutes to locate- and then a bit of a fiddle to extract, along with heaps of ants! tftc
Took a wee while to extract, but we managed. Lots of ants guarding it. Good hide, tftc
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) Came from the wild west to explore the not so wild south, have e-bike and I'm armed and ready and not really dangerous! I am however, flamin' wet and getting a fair bit cold I have to say, but I'm continuing on now it's stopped raining for 5mins.
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) Biked to this one, cache in first place I looked, and nothing wrong going on here, cache and paper all good today, now a couple more caches while the going is good and it has stopped raining. Cheers G.

Had to wait for a few people to walk past then it was a quick grab of the cache.

Found while walking into town with Greg and Noel...
Nice placement and of course we TNLNSL TFTC and replaced as found.

Was able to park car so able to make it harder for people driving past to see me. Busy area.
Having dropped laval off for some competition practice locally I had a couple of hours to fill....well there are some green dots in the area so lets tidy those up. Mrs NZT joined me as there were a few green dots on their map too.
As we got out the car Mrs NZT mentioned that this was one of Mr NZTs nemesis caches....oh no a nemesis and a G-2 all rolled into one....how long might it take??
As it turns out it takes seconds. I walked up and put my hand straight on the cache - thank goodness...this could have turned out soooooo differently!!!
Thanks for the cache.

Keylev had a few hours to kill while one of the boys was doing activities nearby, so we made the most of the Kings birthday - thanks Charlie! and did a few local caches. MrNZT has struggled in the past with the kirks bush caches, but Keylev walked straight up to this one and it was a quick find. TFTC!
Heading up to Auckland airport and had spare time to collect some caches. Parked near here for lunch and it seemed rude not to look for the nearby hides. This was spotted quickly, and soon the log was signed. Thanks G_2 for the smiley.

Our 68th cache find of the day, the tank of enthusiasm was almost empty.
Just enough left inthere to try a couple of Kirkies,
this one proved to be a nice quick one for us!
Thanks G-2 for this one!

That was indeed a quickie and with all the traffic, very much appreciated. One easily managed solo with no bush bashing required. Thanks!
Found with TharntheHalken on Day 3 of Mega caching in Auckland. A wet morning in Kirk's Bush. All good in cache, tftc!
Arrived at GZ and it wasn't long before we spotted something great hide Thank you for the cache
Super quick find as promised thanks. Perfect on a number collecting mission like today. TFTC #17,959
Parked back the way and after leaving the car I noted a dodgy fella walking along. Turns out it was me! Soon came alongside the cache and a quick find near the bush en-Sued. T F T C G
On for a nice loop walk around kirk's bush (don't tell you know who Su) and with the day starting to warm a nice early stroll was just the thing. Also nice to gobble up another half dozen G caches in this area.
It's the day of the MEGA, finally after the stop starts that the pesky virus has put upon us, though maintaining good health so far is also important. I have quite a busy day planned for the day, though not really that much caching as I am helping out for a couple of hours later in the hall with the supporters packs and scan checks. I managed to get a few though, and some good ones amongst them too. Thanks to all the COs and the organisers of the event for providing pleasure and enjoyment for me and others.

It would help if one read the description before beginning the search rather than when writing the log (sigh). None-the-less our instincts made for a pretty quick find. We noted that the "chest-high" bit went with the word "kiddys" in the name. Thanks for the cache.
We did not go the intended route to ground zero for this one, woops! got there though, and from a distance i prompted my kids to look at a certain spot and they found it, tftc!
Spotted straight away. Log is almost full. That finishes our kirks bush adventure. A lovely after dinner walk. TFTC
Found it just as the rain started and the rest of the HPFamily made a run for the car. Found it without reading the full description, and was really proud and happy, until I got hold and realised the cache and my arm were covered in ants. I'm assuming they were ants, but they were the biggest I' ve seen in quite some time and they reminded me of scenes in Arachnophobia. In light of the insect situation I didn't sign the log.
Found on a little caching tour to finally finish the Solar System Wonder challenge. It took me long enough... In fact it took me so long, that the next challenge "Reach the peak" has already started...
This was was and easy little fellow. Thanks for hiding and maintaining.

Had my son with me, thinking this was actually eye height as that's where he was about where my chest was Was an easy find in the end. TFTC
Very quick find, road busy but no-one else out walking on this wet afternoon. TFTC
As I had a couple of hours to do some caching in Papakura and got dropped off not too far away I had to come and find the new caches around Kirk's Bush - not entirely new, but new since I was last here. Thanks to reading the description and hint on the way to this cache I made a quick find to avoid arousing suspicion. Thanks for the hide G-2! Stealth mode worked today.
Good that it doesn’t take too long to retrieve, pretty busy road here. Fingers are small enough to push the cache out of its hidey hole TFTC
Roadtrip time, day 5.
I have used the Easter weekend combined with taking 4 days leave this week to get in a 9-day driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
Today marks the start of the proper Geocaching side to this road trip. I am traveling from Auckland over to the Coromandel before heading back up north again over the next few days.
This gives me another chance to visit a few more south Auckland caches on the way. I'm slowly working my way through them.
This was a straightforward find at GZ. No issues to report with either the cache or the log, so after signing I replaced the whole lot back exactly as found.

Needing a cache on this unusual day. ....all about the numbers 02/02/2020......which I believe also has a souvenir granted for geocaching today.
This is a local cache for me which I'd left for this reason.

#7659. The family decided today they would go to a movie. I was more interested in doing some geocaching and decided that the old geocache in the Hunua Ranges would be my target cache as well as a few challenge caches near Papakura. So headed off down the motorway to south end of the city. I had previously done one cache in Kirks Bush but saw there were a few others still to pick up. So stopped here to add them to the days tally. This one was in a very exposed and public place. So I moved off to read the description and hint to get as much intel as possible. That was a wise move as it meant I could do an instant find of the cache and then move away to sign the logbook. Replaced everything as found. Thanks G-2 for setting up yet another of your caches. Cheers GSEL
Quick grab here on the way by while thru-hiking Te Araroa. Thanks for the cache!
Was out this way today, another nice clever G2 hide quickly found, cheers for the cache
Today was another attempt to collect all the caches in the Papakura area. Know we will have to come back yet again. Got beaten by the tide for 3 of the caches in area. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... We were keen to investigate the nighttime event in Totara Park. In the meantime, we needed a few distractions to amuse ourselves. Finding some caches should do the trick...
We didn’t read the hint, so it took slightly longer to pluck this one out. Just as well really since there were a few pedestrians about. Thanks G-2 and TFTC.

A nice quick find today. Our closest unfound cache to home and we ducked out between showers to end our current slump before it became our longest ever time between cache finds.
Quick find though I almost got my finger stuck, that could have been embarrasing.

Headed out with family this afternoon for a walk around Kirks Bush. A quick stop on our way around to finalise this one. All good here, TFTC!
Not much planned this weekend so we decided to go to Pukekohe
Detour on the way Home

Find number 5601. Walking the bush grabbing caches. This one was quickly spotted. Thankfully. Signed and returned. Thank you for the placement
After spending yesterday and this morning in Katikati on work training I drove back to Auckland this afternoon. I dropped a colleague off not too far from here, then called in at Kirk's Kiddy Corner to find his cache. Thanks.
Well a week ago I hadn't been planning this little excursion back up to Auckland but as I had time on my side, and not too many caches to locate and with Mrs Dragon with other plans it was an early start to collect what I had not collected the previous weekend.
So loaded up the bike and set off at 5am for the first couple of caches in the dark just before dawn then the rest of the day avoiding the rain.
Am starting to like the new bike especally now I have both a bag for the crossbar and a GPS mount on the handlebars. A long time ago I thought that I had cleared this area out, but as always with this CO that is not the case, so back this morning to collect a few more hopefully before the rain arrives. A quick find, quick extraction then dropped the log which took longer to locate (they bounce well) than either the find or the initial extraction. Once all together again, returned signed to the appropriate spot.
Thanks for the placement.

Decided to take a break from my studies and spend the day out caching. I offered to also take out my 2 nephews and niece along with me. We decided to head out to Pukekohe after picking up my nephew in Opaheke.
We came at this from the wrong direction, cutting through the bush, but we got there in the end.

Dot day today . . . . Came today for a walk with Master Seth hunting for painted rocks
Nearly wrapping up the cache hunting here and probably didn't get to this one the most sensible way but all good in the end. Nice quick find here as followed the hint. Pen useful TOTT here for this one as well as for signing in. Plenty of people around so had to wait for an uber driver to move along but all good in the end. I'm guessing my white middle aged man cloak of invisibility was also useful here. Thanks for the cache.
Time for another wander round while my wife stays with some friends. I was a little lonely today but still managed a good haul which included this little cache. Found quickly thanks to a good hint, accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers & TFTC
Had small plan for today to celebrate my milestone (4000th). Needed few handy caches to get there. It was one of them .... And again .... Hint handy too! Thanks!
This one is better to go from OUTSIDE the bush. Bit of a trek of the path from inside. Geokids enjoyed the easy find though. TFTC!
I had time today to go and find a few caches before I had to head to the airport and home. I got up early and was on the road by 6.30. No problems here. Found as per the cache description. TFTC, Biggles.
Wow !
G-2 does get around!
On way home from Waihi....so was quite convenient to pop to get these two...
Lovely and easy thanks!

We made this one harder than it should have been - being on the wrong side of the fence. We should know that we should pay close attention to the cache description, and after rereading this the cache was found soon after.
I smelt the dead possum on the side of the footpath before I saw it on the way to this cache, and then once there we made it harder than we should have as we hadn't read the description first. Once we did, it was a quick find then it was time to continue heading home
We saw a few new caches had popped up in Kirk's bush and having not been here before decided it would be a good opportunity to remedy the situation.
This was a nice quick find and a perfect hiding spot for a cache. Thanks G-2.

I wasn't bothered missing the FTF. Instead I saved this one for a night find to qualify for one of the GIO challenges.

Was at home relaxing when this notification came through. I leapt into the car and took off on a walk through the bush - was a bit of a long way round but after varying of the path I soon had the cache in hand. I agree it is a perfect place for a cahce. Thank you for placing it here
