Logs
I have had a go at this one on a couple of previous occasions but all to no avail. It was a tad different this morning. I managed to find and sign the log.I found it neither tethered or nestled or above ground. I replaced it where I found it.Cheers for the cache, drawp.
TFTC - this must have dislodged from somewhere as it was in plain sight on the ground in the garden. We've nestled it at the base of the tree
Was staying at the Waimate NZMCA Park so decided to go and find some of Bitsprayer's Waimate East cache offerings. After sitting down and driving the cachemobile around visiting some of Bitsprayer's Waimate East caches I was in need of some physical exercise. So I decided to ride my eMTB up the Big Easy Trail to visit Waimate's White Horse. On reaching the horse I made my 2nd attempt to sign off this cache. However, sadly after searching for over 20 mins I just had to give up again.
Spent so long looking for this and reading thru previous logs but came up with nothing despite the hint given. I would have thought a D2 and a T1.5 it wouldn't be that hard. Oh well this will be a blue face for a long time.
After a wander around town this morning admiring all the street and silo art I managed to convince hubby to drive up here to see the views. He was really pleased he came - we were the only ones wandering around - so managed a couple more finds than yesterday when I biked up.TFTC
This was a good one have ree placed now good luck for the next one we almost left not finding it thanks for the hints and tips guys much love x
We searched for some time without success, not helped by the biting cold wind up here.
A very bitter wind was about to go when I spotted one of the two caches. SL TFTC cheers from Australia
A bit of a search around and some find logs read, the cache was found in a fork. Tftc
On a wee geo adventure with AlpiSteve around Waimate...very cool up here and a place I've never been before! Was a bit dubious about finding this one with the last couple of DNF logs and was looking like there'd be another. Definitely nothing tethered and no luck scratching around lower as per previous logs. The usual "one last look" and upon digging a little deeper BINGO!!! Was signing the log when AlpiSteve said "look what I found on the ground" and shows me an exact replica of the cache I was holding?!?! Tethered both caches together with a bit of plant twine and placed back where I found the first one TFTC drawp
Unfortunately we were up here last night at sunset and couldn't spot the cache in the fading light and gale force winds.
I will be back next time I come to visit Dad in Waimate as I'm determined to find this cache!

Revisited this one as I didn’t sign the log last time we were here beautiful day this time out and about with Ali
The original Jimmy cache is gone however there is a cache still here to find. Quite a few who have logged as found actually haven't signed the log.
Was very chuffed to find this micro, even have a photo with it because of the neat container and the space between finds. We walked up the track but didn’t bring a pen so returned to sign today via car,but then saw previous entries. Sadly we couldn’t find it today also, Can understand it being blown away, it’s windy up here tonight. Hope it’s found again and someone else gets the feeling of success we did with this micro. One for CO to check on.
I rode up The Big Easy to find both this and the Virtual. The Virtual was easy to find but sadly this one was a DNF. Reading the last two "Found" logs revealed that those 2 people also didn't find the cache!! Even the "Find" way back last April also wasn't!! Makes one doubt the find of Rubydooplus (finder of 24) on 7/2/2022. Time the CO visited methinks.
I found where it was but no idea where the container is wedged searched ALL tree up to head high and zippo thanks for the cache see photo
Enjoying the view here after a bike ride up. Found the tether here. Log book vanished.
A sneaky find while muggles abound, great wee cache matches the great view. TFTC
We couldn’t find it today, disappointed 3 of us looked but obviously not in the right place!!
Found after a bit of looking as we think cache had fallen from original position. Cool container but becoming rather perished so not holding logbook very well. Tried to hold it all together and put in a position where it wouldn't fall though a gale may dislodge it again. TFTC.
I’ve come to Waimate “on the way” to a family gathering in Timaru tomorrow - I was up here a couple of days after this cache was placed , but not really thinking clearly ...
Anyway, today’s visit is to claim the nearby Virtual and finding Jimmy is a bonus !
Quick find today; thanks for this cache, drawp.

We were visiting friends in Waimate for the night and after checking progress on their new house they drove us up to the White Horse for a look. Of course I fired up C:geo just to check.
I'd had no luck with this traditional so answered the questions on the multi close by while I was at it. I now have the coords ready for next trip - the muggles were cold and thinking about dinner so no time to get to GZ today.
I had the hint for this, *and* read a few logs, so had an idea what I might be after but I just couldn't spot it this visit.
I'll be back!

We had planned to visit this cache today, but unfortunately the road up is closed, and will remain so until 29th May.
This took a while, sheer determination kept us hanging around here, and there is a correct comment, that the right angle helps OH so much. So relieved to see the critter. and a LOL moment. TFTC.
We stayed last night in Waimate, and this morning drove up the hill to the Waimate White Horse Memorial. Couldn't spot this one from the side we entered, but quickly found from the other. Cute container, thanks.
Its the last of the school holidays so I thought we should adventure somewhere significant. We've been here pre-geocaching days. A lovely cache, tricky to spot as it blends in well. Tftc
A quick find after getting the coordinates for the multi and info for the virtual. Thanks drawp

Interesting road to drive up on, worse then I remember from our last visit! Quick find when looking from the right angle! TFTC!!
Had a wander up here yesterday as the multi had been replaced, this took way too long to find as it does seem to be ever so slightly out on the map, I had an idea roughly what to look for as I didn't think it had anything to do with the icc cricket world cup that is going on at the mo . Cheers
Well that one took a bit of finding. Happy to be able to log this one as a find. Up here for the new virtual and a few other nemesis caches TFTC
After collecting all the requirements for the new virtual this cache became my next focus. I was pleasantly surprised at spotting it very quickly. TFTC # 13,952
one of the boys had soccer in town this morning so a perfect opportunity to grab this cache and turn the frown upside..
after finding his cousin/brother the other week in oamaru I had a good idea what I was looking for and didn't take long to locate helped by the dry branches this time tftc

Well I did think I knew what I was looking for but it took me a while to spot it! Fun. Thanks for the cache! Good to get it while up at the White Horse to finally get the multi. #3873
Nice quick drive, had a ideal what I were looking for, found in about 10sec, which was great, and a FTF at 7.00am - Thanks Bitsprayer
