A very aptly named cache - a perfectly still day today and could see for miles. Plenty of snow on the mountains at the moment! Enjoyed the hide location - I like this sort of ingenuity.
A well named cache, such a beautiful and peaceful spot! A very calm and sunny day, no other people around except for some paragliders above. A nice hiding spot too, thanks, I really enjoyed coming here and finding it.
Great view. Walked from the Gondola carpark and was quite a steep climb in places. Found a stick and left it there for the next person. TFTC
This was another that we had been to before. We'd walked up here during lockdown, and had seen the old cache, but not opened or logged it. I ended up biking home past it, so decided it had been on the list way too long. It's a much better / more secure hide now, and there was a perfect [fgvpx] very close by, as well as a pair of lost reading glasses. Thanks.

Found on a dog walk.
Peaceful indeed. I watched the sunset, found the cache and then proceeded to go back to Morgans Valley Rd in complete darkness.
Kia ora! Paldies!

Found this today on a walk from Birdseye Reserve.
It convinced us to look into Geocaching and now we are onboard TFTC and the view!

Have replaced the cache as it was missing. You will need a stick or something to retrieve it now. Thanks
I parked at the end of Morgans Valley and tried to follow a track that was showing on my phone past the water tank. It wasn't much of a track though and I soon lost it. I ended up at a six foot high barbed wire fence - not sure what it was trying to keep out but I managed to find a way through and on to the track leading to Morgans Walk and then this cache. Halfway between the two caches I discovered a stile over the fence leading to a track back down to Morgans Valley which was a much better route back to the car. The cache was a quick find and a nice view from here, TFTC!
Climbed the gate and off I went. I remember coming along this track plenty of times in the past. Still getting a lot of use.
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
After going to the top of Mt Pleasant, headed back down along the summit road, but was stopped by the gate, so had to backtrack and head down into Lyttleton, then through the tunnel and back up around to the starting point for this one.
A nice quick find in the hint location. TFTC

Very hazy views today in hot and windy conditions. Glad to get this from the Heathcote View end. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. A quick walk from Morgans Walk to pick this one up. The sheep nearby were quite docile!
Ms_KR and I had not much planned for today. We considered Mt Grey but thought something a little less energetic would be better! So we did some walking in the Heathcote.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We went up the Bridle path but were thwarted by a closed track sign and a locked gate at the track junction. Headed back down to Bridle Path Rd to see where the alternative access was, which the geocaching map shows, but no luck. Would love to know how to access this cache (with the advertised 1 1/2 terrain ).
Our first find this afternoon, on an extended trek from Morgan's walk up to Summit Rd. Quickly found. Delightful views with young lambs frolicking nearby. TFTC!
Yes, it's a great view and resting spot after a brief climb.
Very easy find. TFTC

Having a nice walk with the children, my oldest found it easily. Very nice view from here.
Thanks!
Thanks!
We weren't looking. Didn't have our GPSrs with us. Just out for a walk in our hills (we live around here) and we came to the bench seat and Chocochunk said, "A geocache!" It was sitting right on top of the seat. Surely we've found this one before? I opened it up and looked at the log but didn't see our names. Well, they are there now. We re-hid the cache in a place we think it maybe should be.
It sure was peaceful especially with the evening rush hour over. Spotted on arrival so rehid it a little better. Tftc
Look out my friend Ethness is in town. Triple trouble we got Jude-E to join us.
We chose an interesting way to get this cache. I would not recommend the starting point we used. It involved a lot of long grass bashing and fence climbing. We had just found Morgan's walk.
It took a lot longer than it should have to reach gz. By the time we got there it was dark.
Finding the way back was much easier but over grown track .
Thanks HeathcoteXHunters and Racing Rhinos for placing this geocache it is find 8173 for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

It was a relief to find this cache with its stunning night views. We had had a bit of a mission getting from the Happy Hooker up to Morgan's Walk so were fairly exercised out at this point. There looked to be an old track making its way down the fence line just below the seat. We decided we would follow that down. We found the cache easily and sat and admired the view for a bit. Torches were essential for descending. We got most of the way down then found the track had been blocked off. Well, no one about, we climbed the fence and then another so we could back to the park at the bottom. There will be a few sore muscles tomorrow! Thanks for the cache. A night to remember!
What a most amazing view at night. I found this on the way down from finding GCKDAR Morgan’s Valley with NosyNel and Jude_E. We had a great adventure. TFTC.

Lovely view while out walking with the dog. Visited with some trackables. TFTC.
Lovely walk on a great day - though the tracks were a little muddy today. Obvious find on the Morgans Track circuit. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2558)
It's the first day of Spring, Father's Day and a beautiful day, so KrystalKath gave me a choice of what to do today. (Only today, I'm afraid) So my choice was to give Tama the geohound a decent day. He didn't get much of a day yesterday and all week he comes to work but spends the day tied up to the car on a running leash.
So we've come here for a bit of walk on the Bridle Path specifically to get Morgan's Walk to fill a hole in my Jasmer grid that's been bugging me for months.
This cache was on the way and a great place to rest, listen to the silence and take in the view. Temperature got up to 20°C later in the afternoon so it really was an exceptional day. KK made the find so she was pleased. Tama was pleased with the walk and had an annoying fascination with lizards hiding in the grass that he just wouldn't ignore.
We were a bit concerned whether we should be on this track as we had to climb over the fence with the gate locked and no style - but hey we're geocachers walking a mapped track and no deterent signage. TFTC Agreat day and very enjoyable walk.

A nice spot but not very peaceful with all the traffic heading to and from the tunnel! TFTC.
Nice easy find on a great day out signed SSAslan and we both sorted this one out quickly. A great but hazy view this morning. TFTH
Walking with Aslan this morning and we noticed this straight away. Great view today.
Ran to cache. Have a feeling I passed a geocacher on the way to it as was just found. Tftc
My targets today were the two new caches in Barnett Park, and this cache.
I parked as suggested and headed up the Bridle Path to the junction with this track. After a short walk in the sun (warm today) I needed a rest, so I found the cache, took a seat, and signed the log. I retrieved a TB (which isn't listed in the cache), then returned the cache and headed back to the car.

After the sun came out it was time for some exercise. Puffed and panted my way up to GZ. Not too peaceful or pleasant this afternoon with a very cold southerly blowing. Only stayed long enough to sign the log. TFTC
