Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.

Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

TFTC and TB visits

I was out caching with my youngest today, collecting smilies around the area. We parked where we could and made our way to gz, looking around unsuccessfully until my eye fell on something. Could it be? A closer inspection revealed a very cool cache container. We signed the log and were careful to return all as found. Take another FP for this one Miss_Direction Big Grin

Arriving at GZ, I had a quick look at other obvious spots, before noticing that this just didn't look right, and the cache was then discovered. Very cute!!! Well done.. A favourite point.

I have been travelling that highway for years seeing that quiet lonely track. Great spot. TFTC.

Thursday. After looking for some curtains (who wants to do that?!), I decided I needed to go and find a cache and picked this one out. After parking where Mr Garmin said I should, I hiked through the low way and made my way to GZ. After a quick look at a few things and a few tugs, I took a second look at a certain place and thought that since no one was watching me – the guy who was jogging past me before surely won’t be back yet?? – I went in for a tentative look. Yay! Great cache. Take a FP out of the roadworks budget for this one Razz

This was the only cache found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Miss_Direction***, for showing us this place. Smile

We had just found a cache nearby and then saw we could make an easy walk over here. There are quite a few things to play around with here but we soon spotted what we were after. Waiting for the eight legged cache guardian to get out of the way and then we went to get the log.

Great cache, leaving a FP.

Walked over after finding the once tall and mighty cache as I noticed there was a convenient tunnel under the highway between me and gz. Had parked on Helen St at the end of the suburban maze.
Once at gz, I examined a few things, then wandered further away staying away from the possibly electric fence. Then back to original area and looked into a few things more closely. Hang on why is this thing here? Is it connected to anything? I soon realised that I was onto something and started doing what needed to be done to reveal a much more common container. The lengths some people go to …. to hide a mint tin. Quite an original well constructed cache hide blending into its environment very well. Cool
Lots of travel bugs visited..

I had a doctors appointment and then a few other things to do but decided to fit in some caches afterwards.
The ride out here along the new trail seemed longer then I remembered, but eventually I arrived at Gz.
I looked at a few items before reading some logs. Even then I thought maybe I was making a mistake but eventually I uncovered a familiar container.
Clever hide out here in the peace.

Out on a solo run collecting caches for the Mystery at the Museum souvenirs Big Grin All the "evidence" has been sorted so it's time to collect the "stolen gems".

GPS had me in the middle of the grass, but there were a few interesting things nearby to inspect Razz Love the way this one is done. There was a big sense of "do I or don't I?" Ooooh! Nicely done [^] Have a favourite point Wink TFTC, Miss_Direction.

Well this cache well and truly deserves one of our favourite points. It is fantastic to be able to find a cache and not be looking over your shoulder to see who is watching thu making yourself look guilty.
We loved the cache container, the thought that has gone into the construction is tops.

Decided to spend the morning with jodsta83 and the fam bam doing a few more caches in the area.
This is such a cool little cache. At first we were a little stumped at where it could be. It took some smart thinking from our 6 year old to point out a possible site. And what do you know he was on the money! TFTF

Took a couple of muggles to help us find this one. They were very impressed with the camouflage.

FTF @ 4.00pm.
A half hour since getting the notification I was still differing whether to go for the FTF on this one. I knew the area. I had thought this tunnel area an awesome place for a cache when doing the “I was once Tall & Mighty Cache nearby about a month ago. Miss Direction beat me to it. Miss Direction I’m impressed with your cache. On arriving here I was a little deflated when I emerged from the tunnel only to find a man with his bicycle standing around. After making enquires and explanation I found that he was not a cacher, but I’m sure he derived a lot amusement watching me hunt. When finally he disappeared I made the find. Thank you so much for the cache Miss Direction. It’s a fave Point from me.
