We stayed overnight at the adjacent motel. So this cache was first priority this morning. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
We first approach from the wrong side of the creek, but Tikva made a quick jump and soon had the CIH. The day Afer an very early morning start to make the most of the day which I had for cacheing in the area, I struggled a bit with some caches (probably not quite awake) and was very happy when TikvaNZ reached out to meet up as 4 eyes find caches more than doublle as fast. We had an awesome day driving around Mittagong and Bowral finding all sorts of caches types and getting to see some beautiful corners of these towns. Our plans for a abseil and hike had fall trhough but we made the best of it and had a ball of a time finding caches up and down the road. Search 4 had joined us around midday and now we consolidated to one car and did another couple of hours of caches around BowralThank you widge76 for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
#22644 @1210Visiting Bowral for the weekend. Yesterday's focus was the Mt Jellore walk. Today was finding as many caches as we could before it was time to head back to Canberra. The first couple of caches was on my own, then I was joined by Flintstone's for the rest of the day, and by Search4 for part of the day. Just over 50 caches (including 9 lab caches) in total. Cache soon found with a large huntsman cache guardian. TFTC.
Pretty cold afternoon but went for a good session at Eridge Park afterwards. Found with aspitbiker and Famishedfox. TFTC.

Initially started on the wrong side of the creek so required a bit of exercise. Soon found and signed. Thanks widge76
Took a little longer with so many spot to look at but got there eventually
Too easy here after parking across the road and making the short venture to GZ. TFTC!
So I'm going to claim this as a find... however, I think some TLC is needed.
So I parked up the road and made my way to GZ. At first, I was sure I was on the right side of the water... but then after a thorough search, I thought maybe not. I walked round to the other side and had a good look there... but nothing.
I thought, dang it, I must have been on the right side in the first place, so I decided to risk it and cross the creek. There was no water, but it looked muddy. Muddy, it was... I would suggest not crossing in white shoes if you want them to stay white.
This time, I expanded my search. I looked everywhere that had a waist height potential and came across something that, at one point in its life, may have contained a notebook. Now, I had a smaller area to consider. I looked and found what was once a black notebook, pageless, covered in snails. Now, this could just have been someone's memoirs stashed away, but I believe it once held the signatures of many cachers who had explored the area before me.
I returned the munched up notepad and the camo container to the location I assumed it had once lived happily.
It was a fun experience... but if you know how to make white shoes white again, I'd love to hear from you.
TFTC and the exciting adventure. Fun was definitely had here!

Found It!
It took me longer to find somewhere to park than it did to find the cache here. The log book is a bit damp but still just usable.

An exploration of Bowral was on the agenda for today with the associated geocaching. It was a mixed day, with quite a number of hides being in poor condition while others good, but in general some tough going. The weather was a bonus, with overcast skies and only light wind.
The highlight of the day was a trip up the Gib with some magnificent views and good caching thrown in at vantage points.
We completed two Adventure Labs and a few multis, but largely traditionals, with a couple of Earthcaches thrown in.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache widge76.

After a shopping trip to Mittagong I stayed on the train for one extra station and got off at Burradoo with the intention of caching and walking back to Bowral.
A quick find here, log a little damp yet still singable.

Found ourselves in Bowral this morning, and with a bit of time on our hands. Decided to find a few local caches that had been on the to-do list for too long.
Once I was on the correct size of the creek this one was easier. Log is a puppy wet mess and difficult to sign.
Cheers

Was on the wrong side to start with then realised I needed to be on the side of the creek. Got there eventually.
Really behind on my logs and only just catching up, sorry for any generic type logs!
I picked up Littl3Vix early this morning, we were headed down to Mittagong area and we had a big day of fun and caching planned. It was a great day to be out, and an awesome day for us, bagging 30 finds in the few hours we were here.
Heading over to GZ, we were originally on the wrong side for the pin, so I went over the other side while LV searched where we were just in case. A short search around quickly revealed the cache. Contents were a bit damp, but we were able to squeeze our names on. Thanks for the cache!

Find #509 on streak day #177.
An early start today for my geoventure with MizCupcake. We met up and headed down to the Southern Highlands for a day of caching and to enjoy the area. We had a lot of fun making our way through the towns and back roads to each of the caches and had many victorious finds today, ending up with 30 finds by the time we decided to head back home.
Our 3rd find today, parking close to gz. Heading over we were lead to the wrong side, but soon finding the right area with the hint as help, we had CIH quickly. It was a little damp inside but we we’re still able to leave our mark. Signing duties completed. TFTC!

#7316 (3 of 13 today)
Decided to head south today, for more calendar day finds.
Decided I'd start with five WhereIGos, but that was a total bust.
Other areas were also nixed by school holiday crowds. Sigh.
Finally got going, and by the time I headed home I had 13 finds. That'll do.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Like the last finder, I started on the wrong side of the creek, and yes, a quick find on a not really camoed container once on the correct side.
Signed replaced and walked to my next target.

After only finding a micro cache full of sanity on my caching trip yesterday, I needed another day (at least) out to survive another week.

A big day in the Highlands caching today. With so many new caches popping up, there was a plethora of caches to choose from. Taking advantage of the longer daylight hours and many solved puzzles, I was able to find some good numbers.
A quick series as I headed between Bowral and Moss Vale. Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches I found today.

Found with sjg66 on our Highlands caching weekend. Thanks to all the CO's who maintain these caches, we had a great time.
Log all official on this nice hiding location. Thanks for the hide. OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *DustyJasperJet*.
Found 1:39pm. Out doing something or other and decided I was fed up with looking at these unfound caches and waiting for the weekend to find them. A nice area through here. Had no idea it backed on to Berida Manor, like duh, of course it would. Thanks for venturing to these new places and showing me
My sisters worked here and the partner of one would come and manage the business while his sister and her husband were away. This was awesome because I got to go there in the pool and the spa. Those were the good days. Some of the tv personalities would come and stay here, I don't know if that's still the case, but years ago I went in one afternoon and saw Sons and Daughters, Cornelia Francis. I was too shy to say hello.

I decided to celebrate International Geocaching Day by polishing off a couple of power-trails that look like being archived soon. Add in the event in Bowral and a handful of other caches that caught my eye and I think today's total was 49. Not a huge day, but given that's more than 10% of the caches I've found this year it's fairly significant! I even managed to stumble (literally, getting one foot wet) across a new hide location. All up a beautiful day to be out and about, with surprising warmth and a clear blue sky heralding the arrival of spring in a couple of weeks' time.
I picked up a few of this series on the way to the event. Like others before me I found the GPS very jumpy here but also got some additional clues as to the location from the earlier logs. TFTC!

GREAT day and quick find made at GZ. So far, no stacks for the Stumbles but the walk/scoot hasn't ended yet. TFTC!
Another trip up the highway to grab a few more around the Southern Highlands. Rapidlywild joined us for the assault and the fun. The weather was lovely with a nice cool breeze. Not a bad haul for the day, and we were all pretty pleased at the end of the full day. We left a couple just to taunt us to return and continue our journey through this pretty area. Thanks Rapidlywild for another funfilled day.

Plan had been in the pipeline with the FFLL ladies to do another Southern Highlands caching run however we have had to move the date a couple times due to changes of circumstances. Today we finally made our way back up the very familiar highway to get cracking on some more finds. Our main target today were a few Muppet puzzles that had comments on them about upcoming archives so we wanted to get the checked off since we had solved them. Target caches were found and quite a few extra more
GPSr was a bit bouncy on this one, however with a group approach, the cache was soon located by FFLL#2. Log signed and cache replaced.
Thanks for the cache placement widge76

Chasing Museum clues around the Highlands with kea26 today, included a few newer trails since my last visit up this way that provided enough options to complete the three levels and put me well on my way to the bonus souvenir. Arrow bouncy but clue and going with similar theme by same CO today, made a quick find in first place I checked.

It was a fun caching day out with goingplaces2 today. Found most of the ones we looked for and signed the logs as required. A few we missed but simply moved on after a reasonable time was spent searching. Thank you to each of the COs who placed these caches found today.
Decided to follow this trail with ilook4geo, as we were in the area following the Ozgeomuster in Wollongong. It was a successful run, although we found the co-ords were not to be followed too closely sometimes. Each was an interesting find and all logs had our initials added as a record of the find. Thanks go to widge76 for placing this series of caches.
Travelling to the Mega event at Wollongong, I spent the night at Gundagai, then picked up this cache as I continued my journey. Tftc.
I chickened out on #`1 as it was peak-traffic time of day. Then I chickened out on #2 because the home owners were nearby. So #3 was the cache of choice. I parked further up the road and walked back.
A very quick find after reading logs referring to crossing the creek. I chose to walk around as the water looked shin deep. Thanks For The Cache Widge76!

18,293. Found during a meander around the Southern Highlands with minniek, GLISS! and specimenX.
A plan was hatched during the week for a lazy meander around the Southern Highlands, cherry picking caches we all hadn't found. A mid morning start had us wandering around in the light drizzle for the rest of the daylight hours. This was the next find for the day as we started on this mini trail - quick find at GZ.
Thanks widge76 !!

Chooo ooo - found today with the wonderful company of dty73, Joolay and Kittykatch! Today we planned to head out to the Mittagong/Bowral area, and collect a few caches. It was an earlyish start, and we were on the highway well and truly by 8.30am. We love The Highlands, thanks for the cache W76.
Today was a great day out with awesome friends and some great caches. Tankengine, Joolay, Kittykatch and I planned a day of caching up north from home in a few of the smaller towns. We started at 8:30am and were home by 7:30pm. We had so much fun finding caches, seeing the sights, laughing and exploring. Thanks guys for a great day out and lots of laughs.
