Sir_Spectre and I went for a long weekend over to Victoria, we hosted some events and CITO's and was really impressed by all the people that made the effort to join us. Any caches that needed attention got it, with many log books being replaced or extras sheets added as needed. Thanks to all who placed and maintained caches for us to find
My favourite type of container. Quick find.Found with Mogni. The plan this October Long Weekend was to head over to Victoria and host 3 CITO's plus host my first geocaching event, also increase my finds to 20 in at least 5 victorian LGA's. Given that we were caching in the country alot of km's were travelled. The weather was raining on and off all saturday including the night time but by luck all 3 events that day were dry. The first CITO ( and the cache of the trip ) was in Kaniva at the wetlands, the next in CITO was in Dimboola at one of the rest areas, and placing a future challenage cache then slowly making our way to wycheproof canavan park which was our accomadation for the weekend and then up to Mount Wycheproof ( the smallest registered mountain in Australia - at 43metres tall ) for my coffee and sunset event. Sunday started off with a early 630 am CITO in the Mount Wycheproof wetlands reserve ( sorry i did forget about daylight savings when i made the time for the event but it was a dawn and light still ). Now off to swan hill ( which is my least favorite LGA to cache in ) and then a few more LGA's and back to the tent in the dark well past dinner. Then it was slowly heading home via the silo arts works along the way and walpuep and then over the border to pinaroo and home. We went through over a milk crate of spare containers and got 2 and 1/4 garage bags of cans and bottles. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.
My first find for the day. Decided to tackle some of the many hides in and around Swan Hill today. Always good to start with a smiley face.
Our Geoboy would have loved to have been with us for this one as he always choose keyrings in caches. Lucky we had one in the car to swap for him. TFTC. great idea

Making the most of Holidays and being able to travel. I decided on a 4 day trip that seen me head up to Swan Hill then down via Lake Boga, Kerang, Koondrook, Cohuna, Leitchville, Mt Terrick Terrick NP, Corop, Colbinabbim Rushworth, Whroo and finally Nagambie (then back home to St.Arnaud). Lots of back tracks taken and lots of dust to clean out of the ute. It was over 1250km travelled and flying solo on this trip I had lots of fun finding the caches.
I took a couple more wedges out of my 360Deg “finds from home” map and ticked off a couple of caches that I have heard about that were on my “to find” list.
There was a huge Variety of caches found from bird boxes to Fridges, Wall mountable tool boxes to Eclipse tins, with the odd ammo can thrown in. A couple of head scratching gadget caches chewed up some time but will be memorable for time to come. Numerous puzzles that I had solved i managed to find and I even managed to make good on a couple of DNFs, and add some more DNFs to my list. Even though I was out on my own I still had to use a couple of PAFs to get by. Thanks guys.
A bit of a blockie here and a quick find made.

The second Sparra0709 cache I tried forth day. Driving down an unsealed road past dry farmland we stopped close to GZ for this cache. I followed where the finding device indicated the cache would be. Soon I found what I was looking for and was able to add my caching name to the log. Two Sparta caches so far today!
Suscoe headed out for a trip to the west and north west of Kerang today.
It was a sunny day, it got quite warm as the day passed by.
We saw some terrific country out here and visited some places that we have never been to before.
Thanks to Sparra0907 for this hide, we were glad that the weather had been dry for a while with good firm roads to travel on.

Went out yesterday to check on this cache and found the co-ords were well out. Took another GPS reading and now are adjusting the co-ords. Sorry about the mistake with the co-ords. Should now be a park and grab cache with heaps of swaps for the kids.Cheers.

Hi there Cache Owner,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue with the placement. The cache is being temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
Whilst it is recognized that as a result of the current COVID19 situation, it might not be possible for a Cache Owner to just pop out and check on a cache, we still need to know that you are on top of the issue.
CO's of caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis will be given some extra time to react. Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel it is safe to maintain will not be archived in the normal time frame, as long as there is some indication from the CO. **Don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do:-#
- Should the regional Health and Victorian Government requirements allow it **AND** you feel it safe for you to maintain this cache now, please feel free to do so. Don't forget to log an 'Owner Maintenance ' log and also Enable the cache once the issue is fixed.
- **Alternatively,** what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you you expect you might be able to attend to the issue/s.
#Please Note#
When the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment from the CO as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
**JUST A HINT:-** In case you are not aware, there is a new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own. Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Every finder (7) since the cache was published over a year ago has indicated the coordinates for this cache are not correct.
The cache is classified as a Traditional (cache at listed co-ords) but the GZ today was some 22m away from where the cache is located.
Perhaps it is well past the time for the CO to check this out?

With so many caches to be sought around Swan Hill we had to book an extra night's accommodation.
Thanks to previous logs guiding us across the road, in particular the co'ords given by locus cache we made a quick find.
Satellites today had the GZ 22m ENE of where we found the cache
Our thanks to 'Sparra0907' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

A late run today as I did some online study this morning which left me thoroughly confused So decided to pretend it wasn’t still windy out there and hit the trail Visited some historic spots, took a few pics, went for a walk, and logged a swag of caches.
Logged thx to previous finder saying it’s on other side of the road. I got it 24m NE of the posted coords.

Gosh-'en Golly !!
A key ring cache !!
The key to finding this cache,
was to read some previous finder's notes.
So after not finding the cache at GZ,
I tootled off across the other side of the road,
for a quick cache find
No swaps sorry !!
I only have one keyring,
and it only has two keys on it
One key for the geomobile,
and one key for the bicycle lock
What other keys could you need ??

Coords way out here. Locus cache has left some spot on coords in their post. Signed and replaced. TFTC. Nice size container.
Heading off on a tour of outback pubs come Saturday,
So catching up on a couple of caches that we haven't found as yet
Pulled up Big Momma beside the given coords and started our search
Oh Dear!!! Didn't read the previous log of the FTF
Whacked out the phone and read the log and taking the advice given, we headed West. [8)]
By doing so, we struck gold, er in this case - bronze [:o)]
Signed log and returned container back to where we found it
TNLN as we didn't have a spare keyring.
TFTC Sparra 0907. Good collection of keyrings.

An opportunity to attend 3 events in 3 states in 1 day [|)] saw Rex and I driving to and from Mildura for the weekend [^]
Muggle partner came up from Adelaide too for the weekend
Over the weekend I found 41 caches, had 3 DNFs and attended the 3 events
Sadly one of the main caches that I had hoped to find was not attempted because apparently geocachers are NOT faster than speeding bullets
Seems there needs to be another trip back to Mildura too as I didn't even start the new turtle geo art
All in all a fun and tiring [|)] weekend with lots of driving!
Driving back to Shepparton today and 1 DNF with 16 finds
I spent 2 hours on the phone with a good friend who is having a hard time at the moment and also learned that Skyping in for peer supervision isn't a good idea
Woohoo! *FTF*
Having decided to leave the 150 event challenge cache in St Arnaud for firesafe to get FTF on , I headed up here instead and Rex had a great time wandering [^] while I spent a looong time searching
Finally found the cache after deciding that it probably really wasn't where the coords had me and then looking for other options. [?]
To use words from days of yore: "GO WEST, YOUNG MAN, GO WEST"
I'd respectfully suggest that these coords may be a tad more accurate when looking for this cache: S35° 27.322 E143° 27.241
They are at least closer to the side of the road where the cache is hidden and just might save half an hour or more of searching!
