Up with eyespyben and ABCDF$ and boy did we make hard work of this one. Up and down, round and round so when it was finally spotted. Thankfully we signed it and replaced. Thank you for the placement.

Out and about out east today for a spot of cache detection. I parked up on Proteus Place and followed the paths around to ground zero. Once there I began the search. I went around a few time and climbed up as many too. Readying the previous logs etc helped and i eventually tracked this tricky little hide down. Cache was not well secured so I took the liberty of attaching it to ground zero to keep it safe(r). Cheers for the cache placement!

A few days in Auckland for a wedding means I can do a few caches as well. This one had me going in circles but eventually the light caught something small and cache looking. What a relief! Thanks for the hide. A challenging one!

We are caching with Team Welsh this morning trying to boost our Found numbers for this date. We parked near one of the entrances to this reserve area and made our way towards GZ. We had to wade through some long wet grass and about half way there spotted the much better access that we used on our way back out to the car. We searched for a while at GZ before Team Welsh spotted the cache.Thanks.

13-Nov-22
As is normal for us, we came in the hard way and found the easier path on the way out. Kiwicouple and I soon zoned in on the right object and after a short search, I managed to locate it Nice and safe and all is well with this cache. Thanks

I think I got a bit lucky with this one. I could tell what object this would be on/in/under, but there were many possibilities. It only took a few moments for me to notice something that wasn't quite natural. Nice and quiet here on this beautiful day! Thanks!

09-Feb-22
Nice easy find here for M13

07-Feb-22
In the area for the day and was randomly picking caches to find and this one made the cut! A quick find but there must be two here as I found a nice shiny cache with newish log not a crumbling to dust one like the previous finder. TFTC

Found on a beautiful day of caching. Found fairly quickly. Not as difficult as you might think. Could use a new log, it's on the verge of crumbling to dust. Could also use a new container, the lid is very rusty.
FP for showing me this beautiful location.

Happy New Year! we decided to do a bit of caching on this hot hot day. After getting cold drinks we headed to this cache and MrNZT was able to make the find pretty quickly while MrNZT observed from a shady spot. TFTC!

Coordinates changed from:
S 36° 52.967 E 174° 54.309

Coordinates changed to:
S 36° 52.953 E 174° 54.307

Distance from original: 85.6 feet or 26.1 meters.

Location has been exposed by the counsel so it would be too obvious to replace it where it was.

Location of cache has been moved.

New hint : Death brings life

12-Oct-21
Not quite where it used to be so the hint is a teeny bit off but still on the same structure. Might have to look at GZ sideways a bit

19-Sep-21
Looked again and found it!

19-Sep-21
Found it on the 3rd visit. Phew. Should’ve thought outside the box.

Have looked twice but couldn’t find it.

06-Sep-21
Yay found it!

14-Aug-21
Nice park to place a cache in. Really a peaceful spot.

Took me a few minutes to get to the right place. Found the coords to be more towards the tree, but the hint lead me the correct direction.

Thanks for the cache!

Out today enjoying the slightly warm sun then hot sun. Where are my shorts when you need them. I have my e-bike in the car, I have done 2 adventure labs on the bike, now this looks like it's going to be my last cache, it's starting to get cool, almost 4pm. I initially thought the cache was meant to be in the big tree, I thought that's where my co-ords were pointing me, but I saw steps, and the hint looked good there, as people have said, one more step down... there it was... hanging about.

Nice one Vanjeans, passed by the golf cart in the paddock, how long has that been sitting there? Crazy how people steal things and just leave them abandoned like that.

02-Apr-21
Fun find with the family, neat little reserve that we didn’t know existed! Peaceful and quiet Smile

11-Jan-21
Out with Mrs Jag collecting a few caches in the area. The cache was lying in the open so it was an easy find. Rehid it as I assume it should be hidden.

11-Jan-21
Out with Merlot50 to find a few caches on a "free" day. We found this cache out in the open, so lucky it hadn't been taken by muggles. After signing our names we replaced the cache as per the hint.

04-Jan-21
Cool find

26-Oct-20
Hint makes sense. Easy to find.

20-Sep-20
A nice park with some families and young kids playing and hiding amongst the trees. Quick find, thanks.

A trip to the shops on the bike and thought we'd swing by this place to see if we could find.

Thankfully this one wasn't overly taxing and was found relatively quickly.

I came back with nufrat to find this one that we had DNF'd previously. The red herring is still there, but since others have found the cache, we searched beyond this and eventually found the cache. TFTC.

Made plans with TheWonderStuff to head out to the Eastern Beaches to target a number of caches that we both hadn't found.

Had to approach carefully after the recent (desperately needed) rain to avoid slipping. Once at the right position I quickly spotted the cache.

13-Jun-20
I came for the second time to try looking for it again and I found it! Not sure how I missed it the first time

01-Jun-20

Well never been here before. Kind of a strange place but Phil found the cache. Good clue and great colour container which helped! FYI last person to write on log before us was Draffin. SL TFTC now to the dairy for a slushy!

Big tree

13-Apr-20
Found it, clue is good.

24-Feb-20
It was very nice to sit on the steps and listen to the cicadas... looked around the stairs, saw half of a pvc pipe nailed to the steps that looked suspicious but it was nothing...

23-Feb-20
Even though I live nearby I've never been to this reserve. It was quite quiet when I was there so I could search fairly uninterrupted and spotted the cache after a few minutes, TFTC!

28-Jan-20
we looked by the steps and in the tree but we couldn’t find it so good luck. coordinates not correct.....

25-Jan-20
Found a cache, but then found I had signed it in 2014, other recent logs in the cache so going to claim it again.

Unlucky for some - number 13

24-Aug-19
Not too far from home, and placed on my birthday. Been meaning to come here a while ago, but today found myself in the area. Wandered down to GZ, my gps phone gave me a bit of a runaround, but then spotted something that matched the hint item, and soon found. Signed and rehid. Cold southerly wind today, no time to sit on benches, time to head home for a hot drink. TFTC

24-Aug-19
GPS was a little bit out for me, but once I figured out the hint, the cache was soon in hand, TFTC

25-Jul-19

Congratulations on your first Hide .
Very cool place...
Hope you continue with geocaching...and place some more hides in due course .

Came for a stroll through this park after work today. As I approached GZ I pretty much figured out where the cache would most likely be thanks to your hint. A quick find. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.

This is geo streak day #1039 in a row for me today. TFTC

Out for an early morning walk. Approached GZ, then made a nice quick find. Great place for a cache. TFTC Big Grin

GPS seems a bit off. Once we widened our search and used the title and hint it was a quick find.

We had been out on a 12 hour caching expedition to Waihi and were returning home.
Just as we were about to turn into our street the alert came through for this cache.
Since we were already in the car and the cache was close by we decided a FTF hunt would be a great end to the day so drove past our street and off to GZ.
When we arrived the park was empty aside from a muggle walking his dog.
It was getting quite dark and we didn't have a torch with us so we rushed to GZ hoping the cache would be easy to spot in the dark.
After an unsuccessful feel around we decided to use the phone to provide as much light as possible as it was now quite dark.
A methodical search followed and all of a sudden the cleverly placed cache was spotted.
A quick check revealed an empty log.
Just as we got back to our car Liverkiwi arrived closely followed by UncleSamNZ, more prepared than us with a handy head torch. Nice to see you all again.
After a quick catch up we headed home and they headed off in search of the cache.
Thanks Vanjeans for providing a great end to our day.

STF with Uncle Sam, a few minutes behind The Coblets. Log to follow.

Was trying to enjoy a nice quiet night at home when the TEAM Seac chat starts pinging. And they say there is one close by. I was happy to let others go. But then get a call from Liverkiwi strongly suggesting that I should meet them there....so I gave in. Put my shoes on and headed out. Meet the coblets as they were leaving. We searched the wrong area at first, but then expanded the circle and then quickly found it. This cache has broken my 97 day slump streak of caching :-p
