Added a waterproof piece of paper here, the existing ones were very wet and full. Thanks!
Here in the land of the long white cloud to attend the mega in Dunedin. Many thanks to all those involved in the organisation! Travelling with BenM70 along to the Catlins and onwards to Bluff. Did a cache that needed a long waterside walk and a wade so all wet and muddy again today! Fabulous scenery and ancient highlights. Thanks to the COs for amazing caches!
Day 8 in New Zealand Was the last morning in Owaka so picking up a few close by around the region before heading here. All log paper is mush. Lightly signed. My first overseas trip ever started off eventful with my tree fishing pole joining me in Brisbane on a later flight after deciding not to travel with me initially, but all sorted and the trip has been stress free since checking out the stunning scenery and picking up caches of various sorts. Went caching with the Qld + 1 crew while in Dunedin but finished up and headed south with GCoven on my way to fly out back to Townsville Australia via Invercargill Thanks funkymunkyzone for placing this Traditional for me to convert into a smilie
Found with MummyPenny on our extended Mega trip. The main log is fairly mushy, but we managed to sign a damp page that's been added. Some TLC is due. Our southern-most physical cache, so far. Thanks funkymunkyzone.
Found with Kiwimykl while on our southern adventure. Refer to his log for details.TFTC FMZ
Found with NZDi on our southern adventure heading towards the Dunedin Mega via The Catlins.TFTC FMZ
I found the cache while it is raining en windt hard. The paper is very wet and I try to write my name
Found it on a foggy morning. The only muggles near the cache were a couple of sheep. I added a new sheet of paper, but a new logbook in a plastic bag is still needed.
I came up to this one after doing the walk to Slope Point, a nice easy find and away from all the people at the carpark. Managed to grab it in between vehicles on the road. Very cool to look at the trees nearby that have been affected by the wind, great views of them on the way to this cache. Thanks for the placement!
Very happy to find this one after not finding the other cache nearby. The rain was easing and Mrs SoBad was already wet so made the quick find using the hint.Thanks.
So cold and windy here today - so didnt stay long. After the walk hubby hid in the truck while I wandered up here to take a pic of the lovely sloping trees. I dont think I would like to live here in this wind.TFTC
Ms GeoRatz went looking for this one while Mr GeoRatz stayed back and took more pictures.
Found within our famous trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
Tftc. My coordinates were off a bit, so it took a few minutes of using my spider senses, but it all made sense. Thanks
Found it today together with Laira007 at our visit to the slope point. I think, this will be our cache with the most south coordinates ever. Nice weather with a nice view. TFTC
On a mission to reach 6000 finds today! This was #5999, tftc!Could not find the one at the track start but very happy to claim this one as number 5999. Now onto Slope Point for #6000!
Day 5: The CatlinsOur journey today took us down to the Catlins for a whirlwind tour of all the sights we could squeeze into a day trip. Of course, there were geocaches to be had too, plus plenty of photos and sightseeing. Thankfully the weather held up for most parts today, so we could enjoy all the great scenery and the geocaches as well!(end of the cut and paste bit)Last cache picked up at Slope Point. Made a little jog up the hill to get this one, and it was very quickly found at the expected location. This is going to be my furthest South traditional for quite a while now, so thanks for that! TFTC!
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case funkymunkyzone, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.
Quick find at GZ but sad,y not big enough to take our TB we wanted to drop. Never mind.
I just downloaded the 10 caches and when I checked: Stooooopppp! Stopp right here. And 2 minutes later this (damp) cache was part of my history.TFTC,bahaMAfive
#40248, 2023-10-12 at 11:31, Thanks for the cache South (Southland) and the owner funkymunkyzone.Found during our 2 weeks in New Zealand trip. And this south we couldn't miss.
Nice easy find on a great spot with beautiful views. The sheep were not very impressed with me being there though!Popped an Aussie coin in there to hopefully kick start the coin swap again! Tftc!
Cache 1480 Took a trip out this way to get my needed pic for the close by virtual for this months geo challenge icons so I couldn’t pass up nabbing this trad while here. No body around so it was a nice quick walk across the road from a pull in spot for a quick find. Log is damp but still writable T4TC
I did the virtual, but it was nice to get a physical one this far south as well. Thanks!
Glad to finally be able to tick off the most southerly cache of the mainland! All in good order. A beautiful day, looking out to the horizon. Ngā mihi, TFTC
We are on our long-awaited journey around the world in 99 days. Second try after canceling in 2020.
Our third stop after Los Angeles and Hawaii is New Zealand.
This time was of course used to find some geocaches here.
Today we were searching for the Traditional **South (Southland)**.
Thank to the Hints and the good coordinates the little box was found quickly!
After signing the logbook there is a new smile on our geocaching map!
At least we would like to take this opportunity to thank **funkymunkyzone** for creating and maintaining this Traditional.
Greetings from Nuermberg/Germany

The spots just keep getting more stunning. Thanks so much for placing this cache here. It’s been a weekend of BMXing but we have loved exploring and geocaching in yahoo. TFTC .
Found on an early morning visit to Slope Point. Thanks FMZ for this park and grab. South indeed, a special place, thanks!
spent 6 great weeks in New Zealand with my ?? The start was a bit bumpy (Cyclone Gabrielle) but then it got better and better. We travelled to both islands and discovered a lot. We photographed and filmed many beautiful things, but most of it stayed in our hearts.Almost everywhere we stopped, a cache was already waiting for us. Most of the caches are well maintained and easy to find. With mostly very nice weather, we saw a lot of this impressive island. In many places, caches were waiting for us, which were sometimes easy and sometimes difficult to find. This cache was also included and was successfully signedWe puzzled a lot in advance and the tours ?? were well prepared So this box was also well found.now I have another on my personal cache card.many thanks to [^] **funkymunkyzone** [^] for the effort and the cache and greetings from Germany ???? During our holiday in NZ we, together with geosnuf, also look for a geocache here and there, like this one.We enjoy the beautiful nature, the pleasant encounters and the nice caches. Thanks to the cache owner for bringing me here and for posting and maintaining this cache.
Busy place this. First time I came here in 2003 didn't see a soul. Today 12 vehicles in the car park. Tftc

While traveling around the New Zealand we had to visit the southern point of the mainland. Thank you for the cache.
A short walk up from the carpark, a few seconds admiring the view while a motorhome & car passed by, then we quickly grabbed the cache & headed back to walk to the point. Thanks for this very southern cache.
Today from Slope Point to Cathedral Cave I found 14 caches.
It was a nice trip.
All caches was OK.
Thanks to all.

A quick find walking up from the car park after completing the Virtual at Slope Point itself.
Very cool area and we got a good kick out of seeing those poor wind blown trees.

Furthest south we've been so far. Thanks for the cachendash and some pretty special views.
I had to be careful retrieving this one, as the electric fence was live. Logged it without incident.
Found on a drive around Curio Bay before we engaged in some (successful!) penguin spotting. This will probably be my southermost physical find for a good while.
Slope point was a must visit during our family road trip holiday. An awesome place to visit on a beautiful, calm day. After enjoying the view from the cliff top we had the opportunity to search as we left the area. A quick look following the hint and found the container.

Mrs gonefishing and I are on an Easter weekend visit to Southland/Otago, enjoying the Autumn scenery and a few caches along the way.
I had a little lol at the cheeky hide to claim the title of southernmost mainland cache when there was already a much older one a short way down the road! Anyway, quick find here - a "skindo" as we could call it back in Wellington.

Taking the long way home. Had stunning views in stunning weather as I made my way up the coast. I had two target caches for the day, both of which I found. Everything else was gravy.
Target cache 1 down. Most southern in SI knocked off.

Is there a North, East and West as well?
Found it quickly, looks like you got ‘that’ south spot.
Thanks!

After visiting the virtual we stopped off for this one. Mrs daywalk was a bit faster than me in getting out of the car so the find had been made by the time I got to GZ. Thanks funkymunkyzone.
