Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Thanks for the find

The last cache of the day. I was hoping to cut through to the servo/food court part of the park; Google Maps told me I could do that from here, but not the case, today at least. Great theming here, I bet the kids love it. Thanks again Gizmos Gang.

After spending the day timing a sprint at The Bend today and having some time to fill before a formal dinner, I went hunting a couple of nearby caches and of course I had to get this one. After trying to get to it from inside the facility only to find a fence blocking the way, headed for a bit of a loop drive to get here. Once at GZ the cache was a quick find, though I do wonder why there is a rally car on the cache rather than a race car!!!!!! Thanks heaps to Gizmo's Gang for this one.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed East this morning to head out as far as Peake before turning around and working our way back to Murray Bridge via Sherlock.
It was a fairly pleasant day, a little drizzle at times but mostly fine.
We enjoyed seeing these old towns and finding the caches along the roads and in the bushland.
Thanks to Gizmo's Gang for this hide. Glad we found this one.

Found by Mary and David at 15:10. Just back from the Mega, and now on our way to Adelaide for a RAAF Course reunion. A FP for a decent sixzed container with themed camo. Firesafe has been on duty here. Dropped off McLookers Bunjil Tag Trackable to travel now that it has achieved its mission. Our thanks to Gizmo's Gang.

Well there was an event I saw published in Bordertown hosted by Roaming Howie and since I was able to have 4 days off I decided to head over to attend the event and then to also do a few of the On Ya Bike series to finish off my D/T loop.
Throw a few oldies into the mix for my Ausmer grid and it was going to be a busy weekend with lots of Km’s.
So after attending the event, finding the ones required on the OYB series, surviving the heat then wind and having a good nights sleep last night today is a new day.
After checking my map I realised I had missed a challenge series yesterday so I came back up this way to find those ones.
I’m now heading back in the right direction with a few hours delay.
Collecting caches that I come past as I have a bit more time on my hands today.
A nicer day today with the heat turned down a bit.
I have seen the track on TV and it looks very impressive.
Could here a few cars going around it today and as I ventured further along the track I spotted a few cars going around.
A fav goes out to you for the well themed cache.

Big things are continuing to happen! Are you joining the fun again in 2023?

My first day of my trip heading to the Mega Event In Whittlesea Victoria. This would be Find Number 3 of 3 for the day and find Number 2 for this trip away.

Great large cache quick find but decided to follow my GPS out again and turned into a dead end road so had a bit of back tracking to get out again.

All great adventures must come to an end! After five days of intense caching and socialising in the Murraylands, with geo-friends from Victoria, NSW and SA it is time to head back east, with the compulsory stops, to stretch and find a cache or two of course. Sometimes solving puzzles drives us round the bend.

Thanks Gizmo's Gang for placing caches in such interesting locations.

Adelaide and South Australia Trip Christmas 2021/2022. Day 21. After three weeks in Adelaide and South Australia, the time has come to head home. I went via the Mallee highway for the first time in a few trips and was happily impressed by the caches that have popped up. After Lammeroo and Pinneroo was Ouyen, Piangle, Toolybuc Balranald and then onto Hay for the night. A warm day in the outback with a few fun caches done.

Once I found the right access road, I was happy to see this impressive cache. Nice to hear the track in use in the distance.

Thanks for the cache Gizmo's Gang

On our way to attempt the GEOPETS series we stopped by to grab this one too.
What a great start to the day! A delightful, appropriately decorated cache with plenty of swag. We grabbed the 2 trackables inside to move along on our travels and left 2 different ones for future finders.

Many thanks for a great cache Gizmo's Gang….another favourite point on it’s way

After driving DPA down to, but not around, The Bend I set about finding what I could find in the surrounding area. Firstly it was off to Sherlock to finish off, again, The Great Detective series. Then north to Karoonda for the AdLab there and all Karoonda physical caches. Then down to Tailem Bend to fill in time until DPA needed picking up. Ended the day with the AdLab, 32 physical caches and no DNF's.
A nicely themed large cache with nice swag, I liked it.
Thanks to Gizmo's Gang for putting out this cache for me to find

This weekend, I headed to the Limestone Coast / south-east for cave diving, but also to find a few geocaches when time allowed. It was only a quick weekend travelling to Mt Gambier via Bordertown on Friday, and returning Sunday via Millicent and Kingston. I was able to fit in a visit south to Port MacDonnell on Saturday, and a few other small detours around Mt Gambier.

This evening, I travelled from Adelaide to Mt Gambier. I had tried to find the miscellaneous geocaches along the main roads and highways, and added another 10-15 min on to my journey to drive via Bordertown and just passing close to Mundulla.

Driving past The Bend has been a common occurrence during my trips south, however I hadn't had the chance to detour around to this location before, until today. So I drove the unsealed road and parked near GZ, to make the quick cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It was great to see the construction and appropriate theme to the adjacent property. I was impressed by the outer container, but also smiling to find the swag/contents inside too! A Favourite Point from me! Thanks Gizmo's Gang for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. There looks like a few kangaroos in the adjacent property too!

Catching up with late logs.

We had a fantastic time caching in Murray Bridge today with Goodlook but all good things have to come to an end and now we are heading home again picking up caches as we go.

What changes have happened in this area since our last visit a couple of years ago, we couldn't believe the infrastructure that has been built since then. The very well themed good sized cache was located and our name was added to the log before we returned everything as we found it.

Thanks again gizmo's gang for the cache, a favourite point from us.

22,710. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.

This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 10 of our adventures took us to Geopets series, all the caches around Sherlock, and then we did #277 to #230 of the ROTF sereries. All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. First find of the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Gizmo's Gang !!

Today’s adventures lead fitzy_1965, two groups-kids and I to the Geopets trail, Sherlock and part of the ROTF trail.

Geopets was a lot of fun. Grateful for the side tracks rather than accessing from the highway.

Sherlock took more time than we had anticipated but otherwise and enjoyable day made much easier with the kids getting out and helping.

ROTF is a work in progress. Hope to finish it tomorrow.

All caches were in good condition unless otherwise stated.

This trail was on our list after Sherlock and before heading back to Tailem Bend for the Canberrans visiting CITO.
Been great staying in Tailem Bend. The weather is awesome.

Another flying trip to Adelaide and an opportunity to spend a day out caching with Dr Owl and JJ52 was too good to give up given the Sherlock series was to be the target of the day. Sherlock is now clear of unfound caches for me and we got a few others here and there. Another fun day was had with loads of varied discussion and lots of laughs.

It took a while to find our way into this cache but our names are in the log book to prove our visit.

Thanks for the cache Gizmo's Gang.

Sushilord was back in town for the weekend, so Owl gathered JJ52 and took him for a caching trip. This was supposed to be a quick detour on the way to the target caches at Sherlock, but it took a little while to find the correct road to the cache. the cache itself was easily found and it was lovely to see a large, well-themed cache that deserves a favourite point. (A nice change for city cachers!)

05-Sep-20
A caching day had been organised with Doctor Owl and sushilord with our target being to get to Sherlock to find the series that I had been wanting to do for ages. [^]
We had a great day getting all the Sherlock caches with a few others along the way on a really nice day for caching. Big Grin

We originally tried to get to this one from the other side but that didn't work and when we got to this side it was easy. Red Face Loved the nice big cache, very well themed and a favourite for me. Cool

Today FeatherWaite and I completed a bit of a circuit to find a range of Traditional, Letterbox, Mystery, Wherigo, Multi and Earthcaches around Sherlock, Malinong, Cooke Plains, then back to Murray Bridge. We also gathered the information required to complete the Adventure Lab caches around Murray Bridge and finished the day with a night cache. All in all it was quite a successful day with no DNFs and we enjoyed some good weather, albeit a little cool!

We took the opportunity to visit a number of target caches along the way that one or other of us had identified, including this one. The cache was a quick find and the container and contents were in good condition.

Thanks Gizmo's Gang for the cache.

06-Aug-20
Found with e.gregory1 on a day out that started at Nairne, then to Sherlock to do The Great Detective Series and others, down to Yumali and Malinong via Hawks Nest Road, on to Cooke Plains and Tailem Bend, and back to Murray Bridge to complete the two Lab Adventure caches. Thanks for the cache Gizmo's Gang!

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February. Red Face
With so few caches within 20 kms of home they are now to just complete the Calendar to have found both a mystery and a multicache on every day. Should be able to do one probably not both. [^]

Today I didn't need to find any of the above but I was heading to Naracoorte so I decided to make some stops and find some caches anyway. Cool This wasn't here last time I drove past. Surprised So I made a little detour and as I neared GZ there was only one place it could be. It was. Smile Great large themed container. [^] A ripper. Great for six year olds of all ages. Razz

We were supposed to be going camping on the YP for 4 days but then the weather forecast changed to hot then humid and hot and then a lot of rain. We decided this was not the best recipe for a fun caching/camping trip.
So today I tried to make up for the missed numbers we would have achieved if we had been on the YP and a big caching day was planned.
For once I was pretty organized and left home at 7.45am. First stop Tailem Bend and then on to Yumali UK finish the Popes series and clear a few dnfs and of course to pick up the 2 new ones. Then onwards to Sherlock to complete the excellent Sherlock series which I really enjoyed. I called in on a few new Wandering Hero caches on the way back to Adelaide and then couldn’t resist the fairy village caches at Callington.
Amazingly all caches o looked for were found today which was great. Once I got back to Adelaide it was time for a quick shower and then off to Vilis for a pie floater and a catch up with geocaching friends.
Saw lots of lizards and had a couple of bunnies almost scare me to death but thankfully no slithering snakes.
Great weather for caching not too hot and quite overcast for a lot of the day. Had a picnic at Sherlock. Sherlock seems to have its own emoji!!
This was my first cache today. The noise as I opened the car was deafening, could hear the cars but couldn’t see them. This is a cool cache. TFTC Gizmos Gang

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for a fun cache guys. Love your work. We signed the logbook. Warning this hobby can be addictive. A new cache in town. Made the short stop in here to find this one. Cache and contents are all good.

Today I made my way from Melbourne to Adelaide. After arriving on the Spirit of Tasmania in Port Melbourne this morning I had a few target caches I wanted to collect along my way to break up the 8 hour drive.
All together a total of 49 caches for the trip as it slowly got hotter the further west I got.
