MrMagoo72 and I were heading back home from Te Anau and took the opportunity to do a bit of caching along the way. Took a very slight detour off the main road to find this one which didn't take too long to find. TFTC.
Quick find. Nice troll. We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday.Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Day 10 of our roadtrip around the south island with Blue Jay. Today we drove from Te Anau to Queenstown in cold & windy weather but still managed to pick up several caches along the way. This was one of them.TFTC. Toffee Man.
On our way back to Queenstown from Milford Sound we had a little break with searching this cache. Found it. Tftc.

Day 3 on our holiday in New Zealand. On the way from Twizel to Te Anau, we also visited this traditional cache, found it, and signed the logbook.

Today I drove from Te Anau to Kingston. To shorten the drive a bit (or to delay hours) I took the opportunity to pick up some caches and visit the Troll under his brige. Thank you.
On our way from doubtful sound to QTA quick, short turn off the main road as we headed from Te Anau to Kingston. No problems finding this little fella. Thanks for placing.
On the way from Queenstown to Te Anau we stopped here and found the Cache.

All good here. On our way from Wanaka to Te Anau. Just had a significant birthday and the gift was a day out caching and a cruise at Doubtful Sound. Tftc.

A flock of sheep dared to cross the bridge of the troll… and so did I. Not only was I looking out for the troll’s hiding place, I also had to watch where I was stepping. TFTC
A quick stop here on our way home after a lovely weekend in Te Anau. No problems here locating this one TFTC
Found the cute wee fellow just hanging around so tucked him back in a safe spot. TFTC
Today we are driving in to Walter Peak Station so this was our first stop along this road. TFTC.

Unfortunately they had to abandon their trip an a few hours into the walk due to sickness.
Two of my children are walking the Routeburne. So I offered my services for drop off at the Glenorchy end and am picking them up at the TeAnau end. I invited Jude_E along for company, so we'll be taking a few detours along the way.

Nosynel and I are having a caching trip now after our taxi service for Routeburn drop off and collect became unnecessary due to one of the trampers becoming ill and them leaving the track.
While the Mavora Lakes are enticing we must return to Chch. Perhaps we will see you again Mr Troll. Thanks!

Ms_KR and I are on the road to Southland to finish off the Southern PW GeoTour. Today we had some mixed eather. A bit damp in the morning and afternoon, and dry for the rest of the time. Lucky us. Off to Invercargill today.

Some very good friends of mine are staying in at Mavora this weekend but I caught up with them earlier in the week so no need to continue on to see them now. My fondest memory of Mavora Lakes is my 6th Form camp after school was finished - well at least for those of us accredited. Definitely memorable on many levels. TFTC # 16,801
About 5km out, I thought I've been here before, but that turned out to be the other big bad troll.

quick stop on way to moss burn. would like toget to mavora lakes one day but no time this trip. tftc
we discovered it very quick.On our way into the Mavora Lakes area for the day to do some tramping, biking and caching. This is our first stop and a nice quick find on the quiet road. tftc

This is a good time of year to explore, particuarly with our closed borders. Few people around.
