While working out Bannockburn and at the end of my morning shift, thought that I would do a little caching on my homeward bound trip. Was found easily enough. Signed and returned safely before any vehicles, or bikes went past.Cache in good clean, dry order. Thanks CO for maintaining.
Havent previously had a reason to call in here. Thanks for the history, such a peaceful place today
Mr Kiwi took photos of the church while I found the cache. Thanks for bringing us here.
Day 10: South Island (Cromwell) and North Island (Mangere)Today was a day in two parts, beginning in the South where we left Cromwell for Queenstown Airport, but not before picking up a few caches on the way before the flight. After landing in a very windy Auckland, the second part of todays journey took me up Mangere Mountain for a little hike and back down to Mangere Bridge to cap the day off. An interesting day indeed, and once again, thanks to the COs on both islands for the multitude of caches of all stripes.(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:We popped over to Bannockburn to pick up a few caches here, and this was the first. There was ample space to stop in front of the hall, and after looking a few magnetic spots, I checked the logs and realised that it was no longer as such. Looked at the one space that could hide a cache and there it was! The cache is still magnetic but not glued to anything! TFTC!
Thanks wombats_4 for the cache. Its #1809 for us. We found your cache on Tuesday 14 November 2023. Not sure why this cache is magnetic anymore! Lovely spot
We managed to grab this without anyone noticing us. Funnily enough there were people playing table tennis in the hall - would have loved to join them but we had more caches to find. Thanks for the hide.
Wow this brings back memories so meny memories, this was my old stomping ground and I have come over this hill in the rain, hail snow and beautiful sunny weather .
Been past this place so meny time day or night winter and summer.
Miss central Otago will be back as often as possible may be for good one day hopefully.
Bannockburn is an area I have not explored much so it was great to get a look around and pick up a cache or two along the way.
Nice to see this hall looking great and maybe get some use in a few weeks for our new kings coronation.
Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching. As if I need an excuse aahhh nop I will go rain hail or snow so let's goooo and have as much fun and adventures as possible tomorrow may never come.
Life is short. Live life one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!! Tomorrow may never come just grab Life by the horns

Excursion with downsouthinv for a couple of days. Just loving exploring and finding plastic . Beautiful weather for it! Lovely hall, bet it'll be spruced up soon for King Charles III...maybe...
out and about with dsi and annielin. Beautiful day to visit places I've not been , and hunt for little hidden containers. pretty cool to find this history
This is our third time here and this time we found it easily. It must have been there the other two times that we couldn't find it. Can't have had our geocaching head properly screwed on those times. I'm glad we have a nice yellow smiley face now.
Having visited friends up on NZMCA site we stopped by Bannockburn to grab a couple of caches. This was a nice easy find.

Couldn’t go in to look, today is Sunday and a church service is in full swing lot’s of muggles congregating outside. One for another day
We studied a few possible hosts with no luck before we finally spotted the sneaky hiding place. Thanks for placing.
Here for a concert. Bit early so looked to see if there were any caches about. Thanks.
Driving around with nana on her maintenance run. She got me to find and check this one for my Blue Switch souvenir. Helped replace the cache with a new one. Like the building and the old church too tftc
Added small piece of paper for log but Magnet has detached from cache container. Safe in close proximity.
Taking some time out to explore the central area and beyond.
First time to bannockburn..settled into the campground then off for a wander...
Not where I was expecting it to be but got there in the end..needs a new log book and the invisible glue is starting to wear off..tftc

We were exploring the area on our MTBs and just passing this place and I thought to myself that there should be a geocache there. I turned my GPSr on and sure enough, there was one at the hall. Found after a brief search. TFTC.
Haven’t seen a cache like this in a while. Loved reading the history of the Hall. Found with Piwaka54 on our epic southern adventure. TFTC
I needed to find at least two caches to continue with a personal challenge I had set myself.
The was the second one I needed.
Cheers for the cache.

Found while exploring the local area, SJT_NZ spied the hide all in good order thanks wombats_4
Tregearp and I know this hall well - nearly 20 years ago we camped around the back on New Year's Eve and spent the night down at the pub which was hilarious - there was a couple providing live music singing covers which was quite good - until we noticed someone approach the band and have a quick conversation - yet the music, included lyrics, continued belting out regardless. Cache coordinates are perfect - but Hint, whilst accurate, might cause confusion. Fossick at the GZ and you will be rewarded. Thanks again wombats 4 for another cache.
Found with StreetWalker on a day trip to Cromwell from Wanaka where we are currently staying.
The GPSr initially had me behind the building, but it then changed its mind. SW soon laid hands on the cache - not many hiding places to search here. Great views, though the concrete looking building across the road distracts somewhat. TFTC.

#20484. What a great old hall. We had trouble working out where the cache might be, but then I saw an object and thought "I wonder whether it's under there". And it was! TFTC.
We searched and searched for anything magnetic according to the hint and then searched for other hiding places too but we found nothing.
Weather a bit dull but found it. Hint had me confused but it was still a quick find. Thank you
One of four caches we located in the Bannockburn area today on our way to Alexandra. This was a quick find despite not seeming to tie in with the hint! #3896. TFTC.

A nice quick find thanks.
Ms_KR and I decided to have an extended Show Weekend break, and today we cruised toward Omarama. A lovely day with plenty of little distractions to find.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Lost about 20 mins of my life but finally found! Almost left the place, helpless where it is.
A very pleasant drive into a spot we had never been to!! Surprised at the extent of the housing. Quite a village. Lovely spot and the only place the cache could be. Thank you.
Great hide. Tricky placement and took a bit of searching but finally spotted it. Nice seeing a community rally together for a common purpose.
We are camping nearby for a week - such a fantastic spot here and we have been really spoilt with such great weather.
This cache took me a bit longer than it should of LOL - TFTC wombat1234

I’ve been keen to check out the Bannockburn Sluicings for a while, plus the local holiday park and this cache was on the way. Lovely old building(s).
Unfortunately my phone fell from my top pocket and smashed the camera lens, so no more photos.
Easy find. TFTC

Found on a caching two day journey into Central Otago and Southland with Bitsprayer. Really enjoyed the challenge of the puzzle caches and the many hours spent to unravel the coordinates. Also great to travel along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
Had a great drive around Central Otago and Southland today, a wee bit of rainat the start, then a hot day many thanks to all the cache placer's. Thanks Bitsprayer
