After doing the remaining Shield caches (apart from the DNFs and the one the CO doesn't want to replace), I found I still had plenty of time in the day so took the wriggly line back to Palmerston North.Last time I was here I came via the road closest to the cache, but there was no route into the industrial area(?) from there. This time I was smarterer and took the further road. That worked and soon I had the cache in my hands. Man this place is empty on a Sunday!---I had a rough day at work last Thursday and came up to stay with some good friends in Palmerston North on a whim just to get away from it all. To run away, in effect. And that meant a good opportunity to finish the Shield series. I must admit it is a fantastic tour of the back roads.
A nice quick find. Not too many trucks parked nearby. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Today was a drive up to Taupo, with only rain as we drove around the Lake.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Up to Palmie for the CO's Coffee Time event today and barefootguru and I decided to team up for a bit of Palmie caching. We had been out for a bit and were just starting to think it was time to head back to my car - but there's always time for 1 or 2 more! Nice simple find here today, thanks Popmac - good to see you again today.
Quick find while clearing out this little area with Itchyfeet2020, thanks Popmac!
Another quick find for SuaineAlien. Be interesting to see how built up this area will become in the next few years. Log signed and cache returned. Tftc
It's day twelve of this months Wheel of Challenges challenge, the streak, and what a day it has been. I got up at ridiculous o'clock and cached my way up to Palmerston North with very careful planning to make my arrival time coincide with the earliest of the possible publish times of a daily series that is appearing there (as it happened, todays one appeared an hour later than I was hoping). I then drove around Palmerston and almost half the way back to Wellington as I chased down a variety of caches that were on my todo list. This was one of them.
Fortunately it was all quiet here today on a public holiday. The cache was found with no trouble at all.
---
Thanks to Popmac for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

#12,865. I was heading up to Feilding but diverted here to find these two caches. This was a quick find as I know these types of hides. There were pied stilts feeding on the wet field close to the cache. Signed the logsheet and replaced the container as found. Thanks Popmac for hiding it here.
Found it! Did not log it as the bag and log was wet- took a photo instead. Happy hunting
Found it!
Out dithering in town so took the long way home to grab a few caches out this way
Haven’t found a cache like this, log was nice and dry

Flying into Palmerston North airport today making my way to Levin to conducting training for our customers night shift. Flew in early so I could cache on the way through to Levin before staring the training late afternoon.
On a roll now. Found easily.

TFTC! Found the one down the road same hiding spot! Log a bit damp but still fine thanks!
Another cache find on the way back home to Marton. Parked alongside and soon spotted the cache in a style and container once used extensively in Whangarei CBD area.

After a whistle-stop trip to Hawkes Bay on Saturday for a couple of Geotour placements, followed by a day in the garden with chores to be completed and some lawn enhancements begun, which may yet turn out to be bigger than the chariot driving Benjamin Hurr. I was determined to attend an Anzac Day service too, and picked Colyton as being a viable destination, and my attendance in the improving weather was both moving and solemn.
Followed this observance with a trip to a call the troops event in Palmy and after that I picked off a few random caches, as well as completing stages on three previously started Ad Labs, and beginning and ending a fourth one. So just the one left in Palmy, for now. Thanks to all COs fore their hides today, the weather was awesome and a good day to be out and about.

In Palmy for the day, so great to get a few caches here. A nice quick find, but a odd area with boy racers.

I made a day trip up to Palmerston today to gain some altitude in the November stage of the "Reach the Peak" challenge. I've decided that with the current Level structure we are in to complete each climb as early in the month as possible. No worries here. TFTC
Fortunately it was a quiet Sunday morning in the are making the caching much easier, Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC
Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Much quicker find than the last one. Thanks for the cache
Quick find after work. Day 114 of our streak. Cache and log all fine. Thanks Popmac.
(Count #) Day trip to Ashhurst and environs. A successful day caching. A quick find when the area was very quiet. Thanks for bringing me here.
I was around the corner doing some shopping and decided to grab a cache or two on this very very hot afternoon on the way home.
This was the first cache of the afternoon and as I had found another couple of caches near here I was pretty certain I knew what the hide would be.
T F T C Popmac.

Glad we did the other one first... Easy when you know the style... Needs new log book its full tftc
I seem to have seen a few of these cache types over the past week. No problems here although there were more people at work than I would have expected - not everyone has packed up for the year.
A quick afternoon jaunt out this way with Popmac to find a few caches.

Thanks for this cache, lots of trucks in the area. My great nephew would be impressed with them all.
As soon as I spotted the object my gps was leading me to I had a pretty good idea what the cache hide might be and sure enough!

Day 1 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
On the day that I had intended to be at the Sussex Mega in the UK, I flew down to Chch for the start of a couple of weeks of touring around the South Island instead. I have been lucky to see a lot of the South Island many years ago, but now I will get to see it through the eyes of a geocacher this time
Today was less about caching than it was about getting there and spending time catching up with a friend, but there's always time to grab a cache or two, and seeing as today was a dot day I decided to get this one on the way to the airport.
This was an easy find, thanks to having found quite a few of these type before. Everything was replaced exactly as found before heading off to catch my flight.

After a quick park 'n' grab at Cul-de-sac 2, and a DNA at Cul-de-sac this was another quick straight-forward find in the dark. You're killing me Popmac with the use of these hide devices! I so need one. Signed log in the car, replaced (with a more powerful magnet as I dropped the original one in the dark of the car), and continued with my original plan to find GC2K6EF Wild Horses. TFTC
Find number three tonight, log bag may be missing a component as was quite loose otherwise all Is good TFTC
