Spending the day exploring the Adelaide Hills and grabbing a few caches along the way. I started in Bridgewater, then to Mount Barker and then to Nairne. Despite the wind, I had an enjoyable day visiting new places. Quick find here. All good. Staying at Mt Barker cp for 4 nights. Great weather. Took a scenic drive to some nearby towns & picked up a few geos along the way. Arrived back at cp at 3pm. Needed to get my steps up so took off to find more caches. Cache requires more magnets!!! Tftc

Southern Autumn adventure Day 50. Mid North section of SA trip Day 21. Mount Barker 1. Today and the next two days are really transitional to me getting to Mildura in time to do the Paddle Steamer with friends from Canberra. In the meantime I had a day around Mount Barker area today. There was light rain on and off, but it was not much of a problem. I tried to find the multi's I worked out the numbers for yesterday and had a load more caches on the list that went from smoothly to very problematic. I had to skip a whole section as the only access road we being re-surfaced. It was a long and quite difficult day at times, but with that comes a sense of achievement with what was found. I finished the day with dinner in the pub in town and had a great night !

I really came from the other way, but I would have loved to be at Millicent for the mega, but was not allowed. This cache was found without any problems as I had the area to myself.

Full time nomads exploring SA. We headed out with a list hoping to complete all of the multi caches that we had started on Monday afternoon. Once the list was completed we found ourselves in Nairne so we decided to tackle the AdLab before heading home. Of course it took us way longer than we expected.

sadly our day finished with a DNF too.

Rex and I made it up for this great event, albeit a tad later than planned
After the event we headed out with allister w, alysse14, erine14 and JJ52 to find a few caches[^]
allister had been designated the TOTT for a 3*T cache and he wasn't needed[?]
Then soon after alyyse14 used one of my TOTTs to reach a 4.5*T[^]
By day's end, and after continuing caching once Rex and I had left the others, I'd found 9 caches and attended the cool event[^] for 10 smilies[^]

By now it was just Rex and I caching as everyone else had left to head home[|)]

Owl was ready for a caching trip and CPWanderer made her an offer she couldn't refuse. After completing the Jupiter Creek lab caches it was time for more conventional fare. This was one she never seems to be on the right side of the road for, but today was the day.

Given the current COVID-19 situation and the totally justified postponement of the Millicent Mega, we decided to head home three weeks early, leaving Adelaide today and heading east. There were only a few caches along the direct route into Victoria - this was one of them.

We went to GZ but didn't find the cache and no realistic hide possibilities. We looked in common hide locations and located the cache about 14m from the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the cache.

Caught up with Mattycat and Sebastbat for a leap year caching day, targeting different size caches and types to fill the calendar day. Having attended a nearby event for the leap day we made a effort to collect info and complete a few of the multis that have sprung up around the area. After running out of daylight we headed back to the city but not before collecting one more as we headed to the freeway, another of the GV2020 colected

Leaping into a fun day caching with Sebastbat, Jack and the Froghoppin duo.

Not a huge numbers day, but instead we filled a few gaps in our finds for the 29th Feb!

All the way from Riverton to Mt Barker and back with some interesting targets along the way.

This was a re-visit for Matty, but a new find for the others.

On our annual holidays to South Australia for the Tour Down Under Bicycle Race and staying in Mount Barker Caravan Park for the week.

For the first day of the TDU we went up to Tanunda to watch the riders go by serveral times. After that we headed up to Nurioopta to see John at Geostuff and pick up an order we had placed. Then on our way home we stopped off here and there finding caches along the way and found seven.

After tea we went for a walk to get the final numbers for a multi. After we found that we were heading back to the caravan park but then decided to take the long way and go through the college to grab this one.

Over in SA, with Tyred n Cranky, for the Tour Down Under and as normal Mount Barker is our Home for the week.

We spent the first day of the TDU up at Tanunda and watched the riders go past a few times. after the finish we headed North to "Nuri" to GeoStuff to pick up our order of caching goodness the headed back to Mount Barker.

After tea we went for a walk, got another Multi found and then headed back to the caravan park but last minute we decided to cut through the college and make this grab.

My challenge for myself this year is to fill my calendar with 5 finds on each day...
It was getting late and I hadn't got my finds for the day so LiB & I headed out to concur a few in our local area...
This was a nice quick find under the cover of darkness...

Had organised to come up to Mt Barker and surrounds with Michells&hound to find some of the newer caches that we both hadn't found. We had a shaky start, but once we got into the swing we ended up having a successful day, although we had to resort to a couple of PAF's.
The day was mostly spent visiting churches and old buildings and I ended up finding 11 multis the most I have ever found in a day.

Found a park on the other side of the road and was lucky to have the pedestrian crossing as it was super busy. A quick find at GZ and I'm really looking forward to the Millicent Mega.

Today was a day of caching in and around Mount Barker with JJ52. I think my caching mojo was way off, navigation skills poor (missed both turnoffs to Mount Barker too busy chatting so a bit of a detour to Callington!), cache hunting poor, meaning more than one Paf. But in the end 19 caches found by me and 25 by JJ52. It was a good day out despite the heat. Lots of multis found, lots of churches visited and lots of Mount Barker history gleaned.
Parked nearby and we then crossed the busy road to collect this one. I had flashbacks to the hideous day when I went up the road nearby to the tourist info lay by towards the school and then had to reverse back onto the main road....
Nice quick find here. TFTC shame we won’t get to the mega.
