While staying in Nanango for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We decided to look for a few caches in the outlying areas ...All Good .. TFTC ..

Goomeri West # 1 was transferred from Sweet-Sour to user youngoldfella

This was next on our list. A nice quick find. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Sweet-Sour. All good with this cache..

In the area today and decided to pick up a few caches and this was one of them. I parked nearby and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and after signing the log all was returned as found.

I’ve come up here to try and qualify for a crazy Challenge Cache in Cunnamulla… Forward planning, I’m driving L’DeVine, so hopefully no busted tyres today…

I was over confident here… I left the phone in L’DeVine and not long after had to return to retrieve it… Geepers got me on track and I soon had the cache in hand… tftc…

Came to the Goomeri area to find a number of geocaches I didnt have time to find during a recent event ilivan overthe newyear weekend. Attemted this one while at the event but dint find it. I must of had cache blindness that day. This time I made a quick find TFTC.

We found this cache on a little diversion on our way to Goomeri. All good with the cache. A nice little country road where we signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks Sweet-Sour

Another day caching from the motel in Goomeri - some brilliant views from all around and plenty of spring flowers. A lovely tree lined road and we managed to park about 20 meters from the cache. TFTC Sweet-Sour

Today we went South of Kilkivan first to tackle Wratten Forest and Elgin Vale - then headed back to Goomeri and Murgon. 253 km lap full of fun!

Goomeri for 2 nights staying at the showgrounds.
We enjoyed the many caches we did along these backroads, the countryside being a lot dryer than we expected.
The caches were generally typically roadside caches.

Finishing a loop around through the forestry back towards manyung.tftc

Nomads hunkering in their caravan near Murgon . We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Now we have to cope with Corona Virus ..... and social distancing. We are currently hunkered with our caravan on a farm at Manyung near Murgon.

Caching at least keeps us sane in a time of social distancing - when it is suitable. And now we have had some restrictions lifted, and we can go hiking, and national parks are open, so we are out and about again, with caution.

Today, we targeted some of the Kilkiven-Tansey Road

GZ had Mr D on the road, so we looked in all the obvious spots off road, then I spotted a somewhat different location, and that is where it is. Thanks Sweet-Sour for the hide

Out and about chasing the 20 new hides by this CO placed for the 2019 Kilkivan New Years event. Good hide and a quick find. I love driving in country like this. TFTC Sweet-Sour

Visiting Kilkivan for the annual Cache-up event. Sweet-Sour kindly offered to chauffeur me around for the day. Who was I to refuse? My caching buddy is the CO if this cache, so I searched on my own. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC

Attending the Kilkivan event finding mostly newer caches with a few older ones in between. It was an early start after a peaceful sleep in the swag and awaking to a rowdy chorus of birds.

Found whilst attending the event in Kilkivan over the weekend thanks for the cache and the great catch up over the weekend. Looking forward to the next visit out in this great area of my back yard.
