Down from Whangarei to visit family for a few days and most importantly, to meet our new grand daughter. It is also an opportunity to grab some caches, especially as I have none within 50 km from home that I haven't already found...Lovely weather this morning, albiet a bit cool and windy, but ideal to go for a walk nearby to collect some caches. Like others before me, I initially approached this one from the wrong direction, but after a bit of a detour, was soon at GZ nd had the cache in hand. Signed and replaced as found. TFT(P)C
What a cool spot, want to visit the other side to check it out! Thanks for the cache
Well, I don't know the code, but this felt much easier than anticipated. We came the wrong way and could have turned this into a much more complex adventure, but we found our way around and soon had the logbook in our hands. Both container and logbook are in good condition. Thanks for placing this here.
A quick find on a sunny cycle ride. Cool disc golf course nearby (across the creek), will have to come back some time to play. Tftc
not sure how else you where meant to get the code rather than just using the given hint, otherwise a cool wee cache, very easy
Today caching out this way so went and found this cache. On the way to the cache had to take a detour because we had to go around the river by the cache. Not sure why it was a D4/Mystery Type as it was easy to find & get into. SL as Q-6 to save space. TFTC
Approached from the wrong side. I knew the cache location had a creek nearby however did not try to second guess and found myself on the wrong side of the creek. Anyway only a short detour and the cache was soon in hand; TFTC
This was another cache that I had trouble figuring where to start my search from. Lucky I chose the right side of the creek after first already driving to a good looking place to park .
Code quickly worked on getting the container opened , pleased to add my geocaching name to the logbook
Thanks to geocaching canterbury for maintaining this mystery cache. Hopefully it stays where it is.
interesting to visit and wonder around these "red" zones

We came to find this a little while ago but found ourselves on the wrong side of the bridge. We were very excited to find ourselves here again today and on the right side. Beeba found the cache and we soon had it open. Very nice cache which we both enjoyed so a favourite point.
Excellent. Last time we tried this we were the wrong side of the bridge and the area was inaccessible because of the wet. We were in the right place today
I made this one harder than I needed to, turned out to be a very easy find once on the right side. Not sure why this is D4 or a mystery though! What a lovely spot around here, I had a bit of a wander over the bridge once I'd signed the log. TFTC!
An interesting area. Good for caching but I hope that the city does something positive with the red zone. Thanks
The boys got rc cars for Christmas so wanted to test them out on the nearby track. I'm sure I had a look for something near here previously and failed. This time I was glad I read the logs before I went scrambling and son found the cache. All dry and in good order. Tftc
A quiet walk and nice quick find today with Snugpup.
I came here another time but was on the wrong side of the wee bridge which is blocked off and looks like it has been for a while.
Glad I came back.
All in good working order.

Short geocaching trip around Christchurch with woolwood9.
We soon had the cache located. SL: **tm/ww NZ**
*Thanks for putting this out for us to visit, we enjoyed the drive / walk around!*
Good hide, interesting bridge - still a lot of the earthquake damage in the area.

Had a chance to look for this one today after a bit of shopping nearby. A nice walk in s brisk wind and a quick find TFTH
A nice quick find after a wee walk, thanks.
Ms_KR and I are cruising around town, me caching mostly, and Ms_KR doing Ms_KR things in the car!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

This was the most interesting cache of the day, so here, have a favourite point. What a sad little structure. I didn't have to scramble too much to find this one as a previous log helped narrow the possible hiding spots. Thanks
Over this side of town caching when spotted this simple puzzle. The paths are slowly being gobbled up by grass. Tftc.

Loitering with intent to the North of the city, picking up a few solved puzzles/challenge caches. And a few trads for good measure. I approached from the wrong side, but walked around and located something interesting... not long after I was in with a grin and signed the log.
TFTC brodiewill, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 5 find(s) of 10 today, making this find #2667

Walked over from Duck! and found myself on the wrong side of the water. Hmm, well the bridge doesn't look too bad, just a bit twisted...... By the looks of things, the locals are still using it.... So I carefully made my way across and there was the cache. TFTC.
DNF avenged! Much easier when the cache is actually there
A short walk from the car, approached from the wrong side but braved the obstacle and soon had the cache in hand.

#19775. We needed a few finds today, and with this cache back in action it was a good option for the first of the day. I went to one side, and Troodles went to the other. No cache spotted, so I went underneath. Eventually Troodles realised she was standing right next to the cache! I crawled back out and joined here. The log was soon signed. TFTC.
The first of half a dozen caches found with StreetWalkerNZ on a mini sweep around the red zone.
We were both peering under the structure, and getting damp knees in the process and with no sign of the cache, when I decided I might need to some reading of past. After standing up, I then spotted the cache in plain sight! Not one of my finest hours.
Luckily we did know the code to Donnell, and SWNZ did the honours as I didn't have my glasses on. TFTC.

Course all finished no for some proper caching..came prepared with my bike for a ride around the red zone ....
Having relocated to the other side if the river it's back on the bike for a few more..
Scratching my head on the d/t of this one very easy find and log was a quick sign...another easy high d/t city cache ..

So pleased to be able to cross this one off. I had two sets of coords and have no recollection of why, but the higher ones worked, and what a delightful little dell. Such a munted little bridge and seemingly forgotten. Thank you BW.
Well we made that one harder than it needed to be. For some reason I had the wrong cords ( no idea how!). Once we worked that out, we ended up on the wrong end! But it was worth persevering. Very nice cache. Will give it a fav
Finally picked this one up after a round of disc golf with JD and LN. Thanks for the cache.
Have been meaning to grab this for a while, we carefully made our way across and had a quick find after a round of disc golf. Tftc!

On a bike ride from event to home.
Stopped at the red zone here and came to have a lok at the bridge. Hmm, I think I have ben here for a cache before? Yep, the "Tragic Beauty" cache was here prior, found it 4 years ago.
Well, nothing's changed since then I got to say. Only the new cache with an excellent container here now
I absolutely did not step on the bridge to take some photos, by the way
Kia ora! Paldies!

Out with coconuts3 this pm and a great cache placement and Yes! we know the code to Donnell, Happy dance and TFTH
Out with busy paws to get some solved puzzle caches. We walked to this clever cache and happily had the code to Donnell. Clever cache container, thanks for this brodiewill.
A couple of nights back I was looking where I could next go on a cache raid and noted that I had this mystery cache which I had solved quite some time ago. I decided to check the latest logs and discovered that things had changed somewhat since the solving. [8)] Not only was the final location shifted but the cache now was really a trad.
This morning I decided that I needed some exercise so set off on a cyclocache ride from home utilising the new Northern Corridor Cycleway and the QE2 cyclway. This was my first stop in what was an 11 cache, 48km ride. . Thanks for the placement BW.

Approaching from the east we found ourselves on the wrong side of the closed bridge, but then spotted the manner in which countless others before us had made their way across. With this route, we quickly had the cache in hand. Thanks for the replacement Brodiewill!

As with Rincewind3, we thought we'd try our luck in case a cache container is still in place. Wasn't a lot of fun searching after the morning's rain, so after a decent look we moved on.
Thought I'd give this a try as it's only disabled rather than archived & the CO log says he's *going* to change it (no indication that the cache has been removed yet). Unfortunately there were muggles playing tennis in the rain so I couldn't have a super thorough look. No luck finding anything (other than a cricket ball) after the short look I tried.
Will move and change this is a mystery whats happened here as this is the original that went missing so i put a nee one and now the original is in place where the new one went
Paddle chick and I had just dropped the grandchildren off to school and preschool I couldn't go past this cache after Paddle chick and Sir Belac told me how good it was , this deserves a favorite .Thanks for this cache brodiewill
My last night in Christchurch and Sir Belac wanted to go out for one last cache as he gets to go caching when I'm in town. I stopped by here the other day but everything was wet and soggy after rain so didnt have much of a look. We found the external container quickly unfortunately the paddlock has been broken, a further search revealed the bison and log further in under the bush. We left the bison inside its housing hidden under the bush, it will need to be fixed for others to enjoy the full affect of it. I'm still giving it a favourite for the effort gone into creating it. Thanks brodiewill

I had to sort an errand in town so stopped for a few along the way. Thanks for replacing! TFTC!
After spending some time at the pool this morning this cache was just a short detour on our way home. Surprisingly busy here today. Thanks for the cache. Was going to leave some reviewer trackables but no room.

Saw this was still unlogged after tea so convinced boys to come out for a looksee. Nice to see playground, tennis court and fields revitalized...last time i was here it was all still a mess. A couple girls playing tennis so we approached from the other side and managed a quick quiet find and sign. Nicely done!
