A quick find although the barbed wire decided to pick a fight with Mr H and left its mark! TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies.This is the last of the Moorland series for me to find, and after chatting to some fellow geocaches at an event earlier, I knew it was here as they had found it today. So, decided to stop here as we headed back to our accommodation and have a search. This time, I trusted my instincts, and eventually I could just see a tiny bit of the cache - at last!So this completes the Moorland series for me, which I think I first did when it was on GCA. The dogs have certainly enjoyed walking along the beaches adjacent to this series (and the Pardoe series), and we will return here when we are in the area to give them a good run. Lovely part of the north west coast.
Hi 2y'stassies. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5211 and I found it on Friday 25 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Thanks 2y'stassies for placing Moorland Wander 10. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 2. Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2156 and was found on 25/10/2024 at 18:18FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
After completing Octagon business for today we thought we would attempt this little series after our success this morning at Pardoe and noting that CO had recently done maintenance. This cache was found in the first place I checked dont you just love it when that happens? TFTC 2ystassies
While in the area today, we did a maintenance check on this cache. All is well. It is not on private property.
After just finishing the nearby Pardoe Ramble Series i drove up to do the remaining 6 in this series.. How many will i get, i wonder Parked up and walked over to make an immediate find and sign at 11:58 on Tuesday 21 November 2023.All good and dry within the cache [^]TFTC 2y'stassies
We included this cache on a maintenance run today. Again, we found the cache about 8m from where we had placed it with some teeth marks. Obviously something doesn't like the cache in their territory. So we have provided a new micro container in a slightly different position but with the same coordinates. It is now tethered in place. Let's see how this one goes. The size of the cache and the hint have been updated. Please ensure that the container is securely closed after replacing the log.
We were on a maintenance run today and checked on this cache. The cache was not at GZ but we did find a gnawed contained about 10m away. We replaced the cache with a new container and logbook in the original location. All ready to be found again.
DNF for this one again. Looks like this one is becoming one of my nemesis caches.....we all have a few. Not to worry, this is a great place to bring the GeoGSP's for a walk, so don't mind returning here.
The weather has deteriorated but we are still out caching. Sadly only found 2 Of 4 caches we looked for. The vegetarian was so high at a couple of the caches. Have put this down to why we had 2 dnf. This was one of them
We managed to check this cache in between showers this afternoon and it is still there. Happy hunting.
We looked low and high but came up empty handed today. We will be back sometime when in the area.
Running a half marathon length along the beach today. It is just beyond beautiful here. Words can’t describe it. Thanks for the cache trail
Out and about once again caching! We have had a week off since we both got covid sadly the 121 day streak ended!
But a nice quick spot by abb this time!
Thanks for the find

Thanks for the find
Yah found it. The gps was putting me at the wrong place but had a good idea what the hide would look like so expanded the search and in the end had an easy find. Took me way longer than It should if.
We could not find the original cache where we placed the original cache and was not located when we expanded the search area. So we have replaced the cache in the same location - same coordinates and hint.
Had a good look for this one at the start of the walk all I found was a squeaky dog toy under some bark no sign of a cache or way to open the toy! I made it to number 4 with a DNF I tried to make it to number 3 but just couldn’t find a path to follow and has to turn back
Staying in Devonport with muggle friends but managed a lovely walk at our favourite beach.
A quick find, just before the rush hour started in the carpark. TFTC 2y'stassies.

Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers in the area and this was one that we found from two series we had targeted, the Moorland series and Pardoe series. The Moorland series were a test as had to result to crawling on hands and knees to get through the overgrown track in parts. Luckily all the caches were found. Once on the Pardoe track walking was a lot easier and it was a pleasant ramble collecting the caches along the way. The weather was perfect for the task set today. Lots of muggles and their dogs were on the beach and we only came across one on the track. TFTC
Out and about caching with whitewebbs, it was a nice calm day to walk this track.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

This one was sitting out in the open, so we added a bit of natural camp on top.
We had planned to tackle this series this afternoon, however with the tide coming in & the beach full of muggles, we opted to just get the “easy” ones!
It is such a shame to see this are so overgrown. It used to be a favourite place for Mrs Coder to visit with friends, riding horses up and down the beach, or walking with the dogs.
It was great to still see this happening. Thanks for the cache!

Well, the weather man was right today. We had this little sortie planned in advance, so with the very necessary coffee making equipment on board we headed to Moorlands for a business like grab for this series. This is the order in which we did them, and Mrs rhubarbroad went and put her hands on #7 while we waited for the GPS thingy to get itself organised. All caches in the series found, and all in good nick. And for lucky last #10. Muggles returning to their cars, but did not seem to fussed about us groping around at GZ. Lunch time now ......... where did the morning go ? Thanks again for this series 2y'stassies.
Another day off from and I decided it would be worth trying to clean up a few dnfs in Devonport and doing the moorland walk for a second time. Left Hobart at 7am with geo kid e in tow. Weather was fine in Hobart as apparently it was all day. Stopped, refilled car and got breakfast on the way in Kempton. A very nice egg and bacon sandwich to fuel to day.
Back on the road again, with geo kid’s nose in his Nintendo ds and me following that dotted line that has become common Again over the last forthright.
Just past Oatlands some dark clouds and the first sign of some rain. This cleared up by around Campbell town.
My second drive of the new road by passing Perth. It’s a very clean and easy way through the area. Have to give this a tick of approval.
As we approached Devonport there was some dark clouds, but these past over before arriving at the moorlands end of the track... started with the first few caches on the eastern end and then walked along to the western end. This track is very poor. Trees down in many places and simply a difficult walk along the “track” .... and I use the word track very loosely.
Eventually got all the caches and fought back out to the beach, the walk along the beach was a lot easier. All coordinates were good except for number 8 which was about 10 metres out according to my gps on the day.
Anyway little drive around to the other track and started by collecting the few that I didn’t attempted due to the rain last time, and then the cache “waiting for the ferry - gnarled and old tree” which I dnfed last time. Nice to get this one of the list.
Next it was the walk to the point.... interestingly one of the caches I found was very familiar.... coastal walk... which was found to be familiar as my name was already in the log book.... I must have found it and not logged my find. Oh well, at least I can mark it off now.
Most of these caches were fairly simple. 7 provided a problem as it was fairly well buried.
Walking back to the car was easier as we left a few caches to walk to, so the walk back had something to do.
From there we went to Devonport to get rid of some dnfs and a few adventure labs. 4 ways was nice to mark off along with the last of the walkway caches. Grabbed lunch while at 4 ways, and it started to rain while eating in the car. I said this is probably a shower.
Well. How wrong was I. It continued to rain for the rest of the day. A few small breaks allowed us to grab a few adventure caches without getting to wet, but quite a few we had to simply brave the elements to get the caches. Really enjoyed the adventure caches in Devonport and the bonus caches.
As it was raining heavily by the time we finished the adventure caches, we drove towards port Sorell to grab the 5 or so new caches out on the roads around there before heading for Perth to grab the nice little cache in the wetlands.
From there a quick detour to Launceston work office, and then off towards home. 46 caches I believe for the day.
As we pasted Oatlands would you believe it stopped raining.... weird it was only rain8ng north of Oatlands.
Arrived home at 7.30 which is an early day for caching in the north of the state.

We had planned to meet our muggle walking companions and the dogs this afternoon and do the caches at Moorlands beach.
We were a little early getting there so did this one first while we were waiting for them.
This one was tricky to do as the farmer was only a couple of metres away in the paddock behind GZ and I didn't want to alert him to my presence.
Think I got away with it.
Thanks.

I started to find this series by walking back from No 10 to No 1. This find took longer than it should but find it I did.
Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie. And Angus
A wonderful group of caches. Great exercise. A little tough at times

This has been a great series though challenging due to track getting overgrown. Thank you Phil and Sue for another job well done. Found with Maggie. TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
This was a bit of a hard slog with the path being much worse than I remembered it, if I had know it was this bad I would have brought a whipper snipper, pruning saw and a chainsaw with me!
With 5 pairs of eyes most of these hides were an easy find, the highlight of these caches was briefly meeting up with Spreyton22 near the end of this run of caches.
This was a trip North primarily to meet up with some fellow cachers we had not seen in a very long time, Friday afternoon myself and Gooseandegg set off from Hobart to stay in Ulverstone for the night before meeting up with TazScout for a couple of days of caching along the North/Northwest Coast, we hadn't put much planning into it to be honest, with restrictions lifted we just wanted to catch up with some good friends and have a laugh.
Half of the caches we planned to find I had found some of before when they were listed as GCA caches and some of them even had their old containers with the GCA listing numbers in them, others were new series that had been put out since I was last up this way and we did our best to find as many as we could in the short time we had.
Thanks for all the caches

We left a car down near Pardoe Ramble 01 and all came to Moorland Wander 10 in one car. After a bit of faffing around we walked over and found this cache. The first of the trail as we turned back toward the eggs car at the other end.
Thanks 2y'stassies

Weekend away with SS rat and Goose &Egg. Glorious weather so should be fun. First cache of the day TFTC
We enjoyed a "brisk" (ie wintery wind) along the beach, to the east and then came back to collect #10, #9 and #8.
Unfortunately we ran out of time due to work commitments, but we will be back to visit the remaining caches !
Thanks 2y's for a great set of caches.
Attached is the beach this morning.

Set out this afternoon on "social distancing" cache walk wearing gloves and washing hands and GPS on return to the car. Found all Moorland Wander caches, the track is very over grown and in places blocked. All containers in good condition. TFTC 2y'stassies
Today gridge98 and I headed to the North west to do the moorland trail, another trail in Devonport and a few around Latrobe. A great day out, this cache was found along the way.
Apologies for the late and generic log.

I saw this series publish when I was in Adelaide and by the DT combos it was in my list to do on my next trip to the state, on arrival today we soon saw why this trail is barely walked, it needs a nice trim as it’s very overgrown, we slowly found the caches getting into more dense bush as we went but it was a great adventure and great to put this track to use, all the caches were found in great condition and silver to us.
Today nettieknows and myself headed to the Mersey/Devonport area to collect some new and unfound caches in the area. We tackled the new moorland series, Victoria bridge to town series and a few around Latrobe. It’s great to get out and about in such a time we live in.
Thanks for the cache
