It was quite wet here when we visited, and a number of passing muggles through the tunnel met that it took some time to find. An interesting feature that we barely fit through with our towing mirrors in place. It was time to move on as we traveled to Armidale with an overnight stop in Guyra on the way. It was a cold day, but the wind made it feel even colder and overnight the temperature dropped to -3 in Guyra.Having cached most of the distance already we arrived in Guyra in the early afternoon which gave us the opportunity to search there. Some great caches. In the morning we moved on after everything had thawed out and most of the frost gone. With a couple of caches en route we arrived in Armidale in the early afternoon leaving time to explore the centre of town. Plenty of fabulous older buildings and all seemingly in excellent repair. A few caches completed, and then am early finish for us.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache KezzBear.**SKI Pair****
EDIT: Had my garmin set to upload logs on found. switched it off now.Heading to this one on the same side as the last leg of the Lab and started to turn into the side road and made a quick stop, we are not going to fit through there, managed to get a bit of space to pull over at the junction of the roads and walked into GZ. Felt around and grabbed. Signed the log and replaced
Found on an impromptu Easter road trip with CaptainVimes and little_miss_cacher. Thanks for the cache KezzBear
It is much warmer here than Walcha where I started my day caching. Quick find here.TFTC
Travelling to Guyra with FootyFanatics with only two caches left to complete all traditional caches in the area. Cute little viaduct. Took a little while to find as co-ordinates are out but could in the end.
Found it on a sunny Tuesday while out and about with evangt. This one took longer than it should but we got there. TFTC
I have been on a 3 day geocaching adventure to Tamworth and back again for a particular challenge cache in Brisbane. This is day 3 and I am heading north to find a few more caches that have caught my attention. I like little tunnels like this one and I just had to drive through it. After a short search I found the cache, maybe I should have done that first. Priorities hey. Now onto the Adventure Lab in town. Thank you for the cache.
Yass/Canberra trip. Day One My son and I headed off on annual caching trip. Of late its around 7 days away. I found 13 caches today most were found for a challenge and the other was found for my 20th loop. Yippee All were found and signed. Couple were difficult to find. SaintsMadHouse & PhantomMuggles thank you for placing and KezzBear for maintaining this cache for geocaching community enjoyment.
Found after a short search but mainly waiting out the never ending stream of cars going thru. Unlike us who had to do a U turn as we didn't fit thru. Cache in good condition. Tftc
With the holiday Tuesday, Willis007 came up with a cunning plan. The plan was to go for a long drive to complete a particular challenge cache. We are heading to Glen Innes and Guyra to collect some high altitude caches and a few fun ones along the way. It is going to be a long day with Willis007, Kolour and myself. All three of us have set goals and a few extras to collect but we all want those Tuesday caches. With only a couple of stops along the way we were making good time until. I spotted 4 new FTF’s in the area. We ended going for the walk on one and grabbing the ftf, awesome.
We are starting to work our way homeward. OMGoodness, the traffic that passes through this little bridge. Found the cache after coming in from a different angle.
We signed the log, replaced as found and continued on our way. Thanks for the fun we had today and placing this cache here.

Needing to find some high altitude caches, Kolour, chamad and myself planned a day trip to Glen Innes and Guyra.
We stopped here to have a look around, poking and prodding in a few spots, chamad made the find. After signing the log, all was replaced as found.
Off to the next one .... thanks SaintsMadHouse & PhantomMuggles for the cache.

I joined Willis007 and Chamad for a drive to Guyra today. For such a minor road, it was very busy here. Cache found and logbook signed. Left a tb and took a tb to move along.
Armidale to home today after 18 days caching and travelling to Mega and return.
No muggles around today.
Today caching and travelling with RoddyC.

Blkthunder and I are off to Tamworth… having left home at 4am there’s plenty of time for caching…
Guyra, the entire town and its elevation helps with a challenge or two in Brisbane… so these were must do’s…
The quality of caches was an added bonus and delight…
Max is a delight to know… and always helpful as long as you don’t test his memory…
This took longer than it should have… it’s quite a busy little place…. And those locals just appear if you’re not paying attention…
Thanks SaintsMadHouse
Left Hybrid Eclipse to continue on South…

Nice quick find.
Nice quick find.
Appears a herd of elephants congregated at GZ making quick work of the area to search. Log found and signed. Thankyou for placing this.
Staying around the Armidale area to cache for a few days.
This small little tunnel sure gets a lot of traffic, much more than we anticipated. Took a while to find the container and nearly gave up before locating it, quite sneaky in the end.
Thanks for the cache

Couldn’t find this one and got abused by a farmer for apparently wanting to steal their sheep
Next, I came to this cache. A quick search and the cache was located. Log signed, everything returned as found and I was on my way again. TFTC
We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 19 – On the slow trek home so today’s journey was from Tenterfield to Tamworth with many caching stops along the way.
All caches were found along our journey that we attempted unless otherwise mentioned.
Thanks to all cache hiders for keeping this hobby alive and breaking up a long drive.

Signed the log back a bit always try to fill in spaces when I can. Thanks for this one. All is good at this disused railway duct
Geofriend, Heather and I did some geocaching on the way to the Highland Gathering at Glen Innes. Found the cache, but we were gobsmacked by the number of cars that passed by us in the short time we were there. TFTC.
Found by Mary and David at 14:20. Today we drove from Stanthorpe to Tamworth, doing an Ad Lab along the way, and a few other caches too. Congratulations to the CO and Max for this one. Loved the research and the story. We hope it is used as a Rail Trail that can be used by all, and not just for commercial purposes. Our thanks to SaintsMadHouse.
Crookedpete and I were given leave passes from our respective families for the Easter long weekend for a geocaching road trip. I suspect that this was our families' Easter present to themselves to have a weekend alone without our company .
As members of The Bromance geocaching collective, we are a rather contrarian bunch, so while the main geocaching action was apparently up north over Easter we decided to instead head south from Brisbane. Our main focus was on caches with lots of favourites, good DT combinations, high elevation or sitting sad and neglected with no visitors for an extended period.
After a visit to Inverell earlier in the afternoon, we found ourselves in Guyra on the way to Armidale just as the sun was beginning to set. There was barely enough light left for our search so the light bar of Victor Del Prado was deployed to assist with the hunt. Crookedpete was successful in the end and signed us off in the logbook to claim another qualifying cache for the altitude challenge we are working towards. TFTC

Instead of heading north for Easter, Seffnjarah and I planned a long weekend road trip collecting interesting caches and doing some bushwalks as we meandered our way south to Armidale and surrounds.
Well, I don't think the car will fit through there, Seff. Best we park on this side. With the Prado's "rays of death" light bar employed on GZ, this one was no match. A quick easy find.
A very nice tribute to the true gentleman cacher of SEQ. Many thanks Saints Mad House and PhantomMuggle

Today (11th) I'm starting a four-week trip to Queensland. My Mum of ancient days (she's 97) lives with my brother in Brisbane. He and his wife are heading for Sydney to see their grandkids. So I'm heading up to care for Mum while they're away. I used to drive to Brisbane in one hit when I was young and foolish, but these days I take my time, and take even more time to cache on the way.
I had intended to leave early in the morning to get a full day of caching in, but Mrs Mister JD has a chipped funny bone and can't move her arm very well, so I ended up doing as many chores for her as I could, and ended up leaving at about noon. I had planned to complete a whole string of challenges up this road then across and back to Yass. The late start crueled this, and I decided to spend no more than a couple of minutes looking for each cache, which worked pretty well for me today.
I did manage to complete about half of what I had intended for this area, but then I decided to book the night's accommodation, only to discover there wasn't much available between Cowra and Dubbo. As Cowra wasn't far enough, and Dubbo was too far, I ended up taking the last room in Wellington, then I had to get there.
Day 1 score - 22 finds, four write notes for challenges I didn't qualify for, and 2 DNFs
So, day two. I got to Wellington after dark yesterday with no finds after the string I was doing at Yass. I spent too much time on it, so had to skip the rest of my plans for the day. Poor Sophie GeoSchnauzer only had a couple of walks until after we arrived in Wellington. So today I want her to have more walks, and a better day. I am heading for Tamworth by back roads, and my goal for myself is to finish off most of the Dubbo to Dunedoo trail. Otherwise, I am picking cachs that Sophie can walk in. Sophie GeoSchnauzer has been present for nearly 5000 of my more than 5,400 finds. She's fifteen now, and is not quite so keen on long walks, but she enjoys shorter walks, and is sometimes curious about the caches we find.
Day 2 score - 32 finds, a couple of DNFs.
Now it's day 3. I want to get to Tenterfield today, and to pick up about 30 finds. I want to finish the Moonbi Gap Road trail I started on my last trip, and look at a few other trails around Tamworth before heading north. In the end, I had a successful day.
Day 3 score - 31 finds.
I'm sure I've found one here before, a few years ago. Thank for the cache.

Max was waiting for us as we ate our pies for lunch, then found a pretty bridge to shelter under from the sun. Thanks SaintsMadHOuse and PhantomMuggles for thehide.

Quick park and grab - only just fitted through the viaduct in a Prado! Swapped the marble for a toy jet plane at my 4 year old’s request. Cache re-hidden as found - TFTC!
Nice hide parked the car and caravan further down the road. Neat hide. Lots of lovely wildflowers. Thanks
Great to find a new cache in town. Towing the van we figured we wouldn’t try to drive through, lol, so decided to approach from the cache side of the tunnel. Aussie Bob was taking a while, not his fault as there were quite a few cars coming this way today. Well, not heaps, but more than you normally want. I decided to lock up and walk down and help him. Just as I arrived he found it so he handed it to me to sign. Nice little hide and a good magnet with more spots for it to hide than you’d think.
Thanks for the cache SaintsMadHouse and Phantom Muggle.
Cheers and happy caching!

Quite a busy day on the underpass today and we had great fun looking for this one. We were all intrigued with the cache container.
Jasmr, olliejf_h and I are out on a country drive. We had intended to go look for a friend's lost sheep using a drone, but the weather has beaten us. What better way to use up some bonus time than geoaching?
Thanks so much for the cache, SaintsMadHouse & PhantomMuggles. Took nothing, left nothing, travellers visited and we signed the log.

Over the past few days I’ve been keeping a close eye on the forecast for potential snow on the northern tablelands, with things looking promising I booked myself some accomodation at Glen Innes for two days. My plan for those two days was to chase some snow and take some amazing pictures and grab a bunch of caches along the way.
It was getting a little late and I still had a bunch of caches to grab in town, so I tried to pick up the pace a little. I parked my car at the teeny tiny bridge, unfortunately the tunnel and GZ were submerged with water, so I had to cautiously manoeuvre around the tunnel to avoid the water, luckily the cache was quickly spotted and in hand while remaining completely dry. What an interesting little tunnel, I doubt my tiny car would fit through it.

I have placed this now as it was indeed stolen. A few others nearby have also been taken so I am replacing those as well
This cache has been taken, I am arranging a replacement which will be in place before Mothers Day weekend
Unfortunately had no luck with this one today. Gave it about 15 minutes search. Thanks anyway.
9957 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1540. Now headed further north towards Dayboro eventually. This is a beaut underpass with lots of character. Took a while to locate. SL Tnx SaintsMadHouse & PhantomMuggles
We are working our way towards the mega in Daybro, it was good to see a day with no rain so we were just grabbing a few caches that were close to the road trying to make up a bit of time in case we get turned around by floods.
We pulled up near this one but unfortunately with the recent rains the area still had a lot of water laying around and with no gum boots we decided to leave this one for another trip.

This one only needed a quick stop with ilook4geo to find this cache and add another smiley to our caching map. Two more names were noted on the log before all was put back where it had been found. Thank you to SaintsMadHouse &PhantomMuggles for placing and maintaining this cache.

Road trip - home day 2. A few more counties I had not visited before on the way back to sunny Queensland. This cache was not on the radar, but my crazy Nuvi took me past it and I decided to stop. Skinny little bridge with the bikes on the back of the car.
Thanks for another county for my finds list. [^]

On our way south and glad to see another cache in Guyra.
Heading to Uralla to do the Adventure Lab and onto Gloucester for our second last night away this trip.
With a Kayak on top at 2.5m there was no way to drive through. A long reverse with a van to get going.

Quick find, thankfully with the snow and wind blowing through the viaduct with force. Still a fun cache!
Found at 2:34 PM GAFF1.
Well lets hope none of the sleepers fall down as vehicles pass through this narrow opening! Gosh - I thought this was a disused old horse and cart access, but as we were there a few motor vehicles came through and even some wide 4wd's - albeit a bit slowly
We have met a lot of cachers in our time, but don't think we have met Crew 153 - sounds like an interesting character.
Thanks SaintsMadHouse.
