Logs

04-Jul-24
Looked around base of all trees bushes within 5m radius of gz

05-May-24
A little more off the beaten track than expected here, but found. Log needs replacement. TFTC!

05-Feb-24
No luck here

05-Aug-23
Out caching today on a beautiful winter's day. The log here was soaking and very difficult to write on. Sorry - I had no spare paper here to replace it. TFTC Smile

15-Jan-23
Wee bit of searching here but found easily once looking in the right place! Meet some lovely carry over cows in the paddock next door!

15-Jan-23
It was actually at the base of a tree not sure if someone has moved it. TFTC

19-Nov-22
Followed the short geotrail to the GZ, another quick find here, cheers

25-Sep-22
Lovely walk. Easy find thanks.

25-Sep-22
I went to one tree, Net to another and she found the cache.

03-Sep-22
We were out on a sunny morning to check out the Te Uapata Pa Walkway - a place we would not have visited had it not been for these caches.
We gave up on this one, and were about to log it as a DNF - but as we continued along the trail we spied the cache container in the paddock and the lid of the cache container on top of a post. The log for the cache was still in the container, so after signing our name we backtracked along the trail to gz and replaced the container at the bottom of a BIG tree. TFTC

17-Jun-22
Strolling along the Te Uapata Paa Walkway this afternoon. We had an easy find at this one as the cache was visible from a few metres away. Thanks.

27-Mar-22
Nice find

At GZ of this cache, I had to think maybe the cache name and hint had been mixed up with the previous one - This is pa view and the previous was cowshed view, owner might like to check that they haven't mis-labelled the caches. NO problems with the find, TFTC

08-Jan-22
We wonder if the descriptions for this cache and the previous one along the trail have been mixed up as we notice this one is called Cowshed View but the view is of the Paa and the previous one is called Paa View but the view is of the Cowshed.
Fortunately the hints are similar so shouldn't put people on the wrong track.
After a DNF on the previous cache our luck turned around on this one and we found it immediately.
Only one more to go.
TFTC.

02-Jan-22
No luck today.

Checked on the way there and the way back with no sign. Ditto for the other one we didn't find on the track.

Next time.......

02-Jan-22
Managed to avoid the ongaonga and the cache as well. Thanks anyway.

10-Dec-21
No view of the cowshed now but if you turn around then you have a nicer view.

24-Sep-21
Bit of searching but found alright. Hasn't rolled down the bank yet. Tftc

06-Jul-21
This one was ready to roll down the hill. Placed it so it couldn't get away. Thanks for the tag GeoRick!

21-May-21
Found this one down the bank and put it up at base of tree like the last person. Put in our pathtag. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan.

01-May-21
After lunch decided to locate a few out Huntly?taupiri way

I found this down the bank from the tree and replaced at the base of the tree.

Cheers for the cache.

27-Jan-21
Yeah got stuck on the Bush hint. Went big tree instead. Tftc

05-Jan-21
Phew...Third visit and found it this time .
By a "tree" not a bush.
I had looked at so many bushes previously !

08-Nov-20
What a lovely spot. I think some signage to encourage others to do the walk would be great. Tftc

01-Oct-20
Drop my son off at a friends house and then thought it’s a good time to pick up some Taupiri caches. Beautiful little swamp. So peaceful, and perfect spot for a taniwha

30-Sep-20
With the completion of the new expressway, there are now a fair number of new caches that I need to find. I have been past here before, but always on my way to Hamilton. Today, I took the time to get these caches.
I found this cache by the tree and put it back there. TFTC.

14-Sep-20
No problem with the find, however it seems to have got a little cache creep as a tree certainly isn't a Bush, however I've left it in place as theres a few hint items and I'm unsure which is the correct!

10-Sep-20
long walk but not getting far with all the turns back and around. Good to see new areas. TFTC

09-Sep-20
Too tricky for me this visit!

05-Sep-20
Was expecting to take a little while here looking for cache but found it straight away. Only because it looks like it had rolled off down the bank and was laying out in the open. Placed it where previous logs seem to suggest. Tftc

29-Aug-20
Mr and Mrs Northwood had not driven the Huntly bypass yet and spotted this new set of caches along the way. So decided to spend the morning making the drive and a few stops to make some finds.

We lucked out here. Looked on the way to the pa site and another hunt on the way back. Read the other logs and so had a reasonable fossick around. No joy and a blue sad face to finish our morning. Darn!

23-Aug-20
Had fun at this on as it didn't seem to be at GZ. Geowife read previous logs and re-directed me to a very easy find though definitely base of a small tree. Took a lot longer than it should have done.

16-Aug-20
The hint wasn't doing it so checked the logs. TFTC.

16-Aug-20
This was the only cache today where I didn't know where to start looking. There was no obvious bush. I suggest the cache has been moved, as its now at the base of a tree. Not to difficult a find though so I was soon on my way again. TFTC

13-Aug-20
Catching up on a few new ones...for me anyway.... love this walkway too...TFTC

10-Aug-20
Tftc, big bush? Or tall t....

29-Jul-20
In Taupiri with ex Hairy and the track loops around alot tftc

25-Jul-20
UFF the longest search .... and I had to use PAF option to locate this wee hide.
Well imagine bush is no longer a bush and is bigger and is not a bush anymore and never been
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Follow your device and geosense , not a hint (づ◔ ͜ʖ◔)づ

We found this one on our walk out to the Te Uapata Paa. A very pleasant walk on a warm day.
+ a marble, - nothing.

10-Jul-20
Enjoyed my trip on the walkway.
Continued to the end and suspect I might be back for another visit at some stage.
Tftc

09-Jul-20
In the hunt for a ftf. Had another look at this one. Omg could see it as I walked past. How did that happen. I must have been blind last time. Tftc

04-Jul-20
Today was partly a work day and a caching day.
Had to go as far as Te Kuiti for work so with Squirrel Nutcase a plan was hatched to collect a few caches around the Waikato area. SLTFTC

04-Jul-20
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Mixing work and caching today, as we zip across the Waikato.

This walk seemed considerably longer than we anticipated. Some of our time was spent trying to pinpoint ground zone which was out for us. Our Huntly friends eventually steered us in the right direction... Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan and TFTC.

04-Jul-20
On my way home so stopped for a look for this one. My GPS did not want to get down to zero as the track took many twists and turns. Eventually I got there and searched for the cache. Checked the hint item and still no luck. So I widened my search and eventually found it by the largest of the hint items in the area. Pleased to tick it off. Thank you for the placement.
