Logs
Out and about with My two caching friends Omegaman1971 and Tiz13 on another Map clearing adventure, today was the Northern Suburbs, I have to say that Fawkner was an eye opener and a shock. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks SurfboardDinosaur for the cache.
Out with Rebel Acts and Omegaman1971 today clearing some more of the board, our destination was the Northern suburbs of Vic where i grew up ..it was a bit of a shock to the system especially when we stopped for lunch...our idea of a bakery didn't appear to exist ...we targeted a mixed bag of caches that the 3 of us had not yet found including this one. Not sure if the cache has moved we found it to be 10 Meters out...BTW we were still cursing the prickles from the last cache..

You dont need to work too hard to get it, no need to get on your knees (I thought Id have to). The log book is a bit worn out. It was a fun cache to find with a friend!
Suscoe was enjoying a day out in this area.It was pleasant caching weather, a little warmer than expected for this time of year.We had a great time visiting caches in this area.We even met another cacher as we wandered the trails. Thanks to SurfboardDinosaur for this hide, a bit of water flowing today.
Nice hide here once you find the correct side and end of the bridge. As a previous finder stated I'm glad I didn't have to get down on hands and knees to find it which made it easier on the body to gather. Quick find and sign. Cheers SurfboardDinosaur.
After looking for about 10 minutes, decided to read some logs. Thanks to the magnet log found it
A need for a walk plus school holidays saw me travel up and over to Hadfield, near part of the Merri Creek. Normally traffic is utterly atrocious and whilst it wasn't as good as Easter proper I managed to make it up here in 50 minutes. I consider that a win when travelling the south-north, north-south corridor. Once I had picked up nirgalagrin who was happy to accompany me on the walk, we agreed the best place to begin was the cache at Merlynston station. My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. Many thanks to the COs for placing these; a series of caches always makes for a more entertaining walk.----After nirgalagrin indicated which side I ought to begin searching I just happened to begin my search in a spot directly next to the cache. I didn't see it at first, thinking that it would be a far more difficult find. After wondering whether I might actually have to have a crawl I spotted the cache. Thanks for making this easier than the usual hide in such circumstances. My knees and back appreciated it.
Took us about 15 minutes, but we eventually found it by crossing the troubled water
Staying at a friends house and promised my son Id do some geocaches whilst Im away playing some gigs at The Port Fairy festival.Found this guy with a little bit of looking.Lovely cache in a beautiful setting (The log book is a little wet.)
I found this cache today on a walk up Merri Creek from the Coburg CITO this morning. Luckily, there were many logs that pointed me to the "other" side of the bridge. Thanks from D B-A
As others have said, the GZ wasn't too accurate, so tried the opposite side and Micaparamedic said found it. Thanks for bringing us here.
The coordinates were a little off but found quickly none the less! Log is a little damp but still useable! TFTC
Wasn’t where the coordinates suggested, but got it in hand. Eventually, once I expanded the area.
The waters weren't too troubled today but I can see by the rubbish in the trees how high it has been at some stage. Thanks for bringing me back for a walk beside the creek.
One advantage of a hot afternoon is it is relativity quiet on the bike paths. This made searching for this cache much easier and wasn't long until I had my name in the log.

*Cache find # 13998.*
While in the area for a couple of events, I then headed out to look for a few caches in the area, this being one of them.
It was getting a bit warm by now and the rail was certainly too hot to touch, lucky I read some logs as that helped with the search as the coordinates had me at one end but the cache was closer to the other end.
**Thanks to SurfboardDinosaur for placing this cache.**

I was out this way today and decided to drop by for a look for this one. After checking 2upoj's GZ without success, a read of previous logs indicated that I might have been on the wrong side. With that adjustment made, I was finally signing the log at 14:15. 2upoj was saying I was 7-8 metres away which is probably close enough for jazz.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks SurfboardDinosaur.

My grandma and I set off with my uncles dog on the Merrill creek track and got to the bridge. I'm not going to spoil where it is but we found it and in all it was super fun as it was also my first geocache
Found it after a second attempt. Took a bit of searching, read the hints from other peoples logs.
Over dog sitting for my son and had the chance to try for this one. Did the geo dance all over the place before finally zeroing in on the final spot. Not quite what I expected here.
Thanks for the view of the troubled waters SurfboardDinosaur

Followed other logs to the other end and found the cache with Alansee after the CITO this morning.

Found it just as I was on the verge of giving up. Other end to where I expected, as others have said.

After widening my search area I found this one on this very cold but sunny winters morning. Thank you SurfboardDinosaur for placing and maintaining Bridge Over Troubled Waters for us to find today.

After a brief stint on the sidelines, "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" is back in a healthy state and ready to satisfy your curiosity and sense of adventure.
Thank you to all those who looked, and especially to those who tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me to take better care of my caches. It is appreciated.
The location, terrain, and difficulty all remain unchanged.
Happy caching!

After a few recent DNFs, I visited the cache to find it has been tampered with. I have disabled it until I can perform maintenance.
Looked on both sides of the bridge an underneath and behind the tunnel in between the trees no luck
Do not go into the tunnel or the water under the bridge! The rocks are very slippery. My husband slipped while searching and dislocated his shoulder.
Second attempt at trying to find this cache - not sure if it is still there or is really tricky to find. Hints would be great
This one defeated me. Gave it 30 minutes before I decided to tap out due to low phone battery. Will try again soon!
Having a lovely day out and about in the northern suburbs collecting many interesting caches in the delightful company of echidna44 and xambo4u. Parked nearby and after expanding the search area soon added our names to the log TFTC SurfboardDinosaur
Out and about with echidna44 and au.fait for a day of caching. Long time coming due to lockdowns. This one we needed to extend out search to the other end as we noticed in other logs. Easy find then. Thanks for the cache SurfboardDinosaur
Out with xambo4u & au.fait, we had a very successful day caching in the Coburg area. We searched for a short while before finding the well hidden cache. Thanks SurfboardDinosaur.
Lovely day for a Merri Creek walk. With some family members in snap lockdown.
Thank you for the find!

I was looking at the wrong end apparently.

Nice one! Almost gave up but spotted it while riding away. GPS lead me to the wrong side of the drain. No pen

Out and about early this morning and stopped for a cache as I passed nearby.
A quick find one I had my sight angle correct.
Cache logged with sanitised hands.

I found this cache after extending my search a little. A fair bit of muggle activity did hamper the search a bit too. Nice hide and TFTC.
Such a great cache! I forgot to log it yesterday because I was so happy to find it.
A lull in the passing foot traffic and I was left with the sounds of gurgling water & croaking frogs. TFTC
Great spot. We love the eyes. Took a little for the youngens to find out but we got there
